Leeward Key has a new look. The building has been painted a pale yellow with banding and a new canopy was added to the front entrance. There are new signs on the sides of the building to make it more recognizable. So, come spend your summer vacation in Destin. The weather is perfect for golf, swimming or tennis and the Gulf is calling. Our beach side pool is the gathering place for sun lovers who want to watch the waves without getting in the sand! You can visit your favorite restaurant and try out all the new ones. This is the best time to enjoy the beauty of Destin. You might even be able to drag yourself away from the beach to get in some shopping at the outlet mall or our many other great stores!
The beach renourishment program is complete and our beaches are now wider and better than ever. Beach service available.
Our beautiful 12th floor condo offers a birds eye view right into the waves of the Gulf. You are within easy walking distance of several restaurants - Captain Dave's on the Gulf and Kenny D's!
We have a large master bedroom with a king bed and incredible Gulf views. The second bedroom has a queen bed and also a set of bunks for the younger set. We offer a large screen TV and sofas in the living quarters. One of the sofas opens to a queen sleeper. There are tvs and DVD in each bedroom. The kitchen offers Corian counters, GE appliances and a washer and dryer. We have a high speed data port so bring your laptop if you want to read your local paper while on vacation! You can tone up in the new exercise and fitness room or just enjoy a walk down Destin's refurbished walk and jog path.

We are two couples from Louisville, KY who fell in love with Destin many years ago. After searching high and low for a place to call our own, we found Leeward Key.
The beach side heated pool and magnificent views were what sold us! It is far enough away from all the other high rise buildings to avoid the over crowded beaches during the summer and close enough to walk to great restaurants! Best location in Destin!
Why the Owner Chose Leeward Key
There were three units available when we decided on Leeward Key but the top floor unit won our hearts. Only the eleventh and twelth floors have high ceilings, upgraded counter tops and appliances. The view was spectacular - no palm trees in the way! You can see right down into the crystal clear waves and watch fish swimming. The unit needed some work to make it feel like home.
We installed a beautiful hardwood floor and added our own touch with color and furnishings. It makes you smile to open the front door!

I can't begin to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay in your place. The weather was perfect all week. We did nothing but relax. I can certainly tell you that our friends were thrilled with the accommodations and we'd all like to make it an annual getaway. The whole set up was great. We LOVE this location-- away from the busy intersections of Hwy. 98 which we have had to endure for the past ten or so years. And going this time of year, it was so awesome not to fight the crowds and traffic of Spring Break which is really all we've ever known. Of course one the high points of going to Destin is the marvelous selection of fresh seafood restaurants. We all agreed That Capt. Dave's was the best dining out experience of the week. We did sneak down the way to our old stomping ground and had a great meal at the Louisiana Lagniappe (one of our traditional favorites) it came in at the #2 best spot of the week. We also did The Back Porch (what trip to Destin is complete without that?) Blue Point Fish Club, Harbor Docks, A.J.'S, and the lunch hi light of the week was Kenny D's. The fish tacos there are kick ass !! We actually met Miss Gracie, the chef. She entertained us with stories and teased us with her "secret recipes." One of our favorite features was the beach pool. The men enjoyed daily rounds of golf at The Raven, Regatta Bay and their favorite, Kelly's Plantation. We watched movies and played games at night, while we sipped on blender drinks, beer, vodka concoctions and ate desserts from the Donut Hole. I would say we covered everything there is to do except go deep sea fishing and shop for beachfront property. Oh yes, did I mention shopping? I'll save that part for when I see you.
