The pictures does not do this house any justice. We had a blast! The house was amazing from the time you drive into the drive way. The house and property was every clean, open, and spacious. When contacting the owners they were always available and friendly. We are looking forward to another getaway here! Our robotics team needed a place to stay before competing at Auburn, and we were fortunate to find our "Peaceful Lakefront Retreat"...and the ad really doesn't do it justice. All of our kids wanted to come back for another stay - spring, summer or fall! We really enjoyed it, and would recommend to anyone. Close to shops, but felt like you were secluded. Neighborhood was really quiet, and the view is awesome. The owners were very gracious and easy to reach. Thanks!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This house was beautiful! it had plenty of room for our big group and then some. We really enjoyed the two decks with the awesome views of Lake Martin. The house is located in such a calm part of the lake that you can really escape. It had alot of life jackets and including an infant one for my 6 month old. The house is also easy to find and located close to Alexander City. We had a wonderful time and loved the house. We would love to come back again.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Our family get-together at the Hubbard House was better than we could have imagined. We planned for a surprise birthday party for the "birthday girl" -- who was hoping for some special event for her 75th -- however we were all pleasantly surprised to find that the lakehouse was all that was promised. Everyone was happy with all the amenities, from the sleeping facilities to the floating dock. Many happy hours were spent sharing time with family members they had never been together with. The place was large enough that we were even able to share our meals together, and also get together in different groups at the same time. Will have to say that when it was time to leave, we would have preferred to stay longer. If we ever plan another family gathering, we will certainly put the Hubbard House at the top of our list. Have to add that checking out and checking out was easy. Of course, having a lot of helping hands made it a pleasant task as well. We want to especially thank the owners who shared their home, thoughtfulness and faith with us. Many pleasant memories were made during our week-end stay which we will surely appreciate for years to come.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers.

Our home state is almost a 9 hour drive from this rental on Lake Martin. However, this is the place we love making memories in the summer. The vibe of the house makes you feel you are at home and we never want to leave the screened in porch! Another great thing is where the house is located on the lake, itself. The cove is right off the big water and the view from the porch is just breathtaking. There is more than enough room to swim and play without fear of fast boats or heavy lake traffic - but you're just a rock skip from the big water when you go out to ride or ski. Sometimes we've had large groups staying there and other times just a few - but either way, it's always comfortable and beckons us to return as soon as our schedules allow. All the amenities we found to be just as listed and everything is always very clean. The beds are all comfortable and I have a bad back, so that is always a plus because I know I can sleep wherever I need to and I won't pay for it the next day! Overall this house is one that lives up to all it offers in the listing and it has never disappointed us. Like I said, if we pass several luxury lakes in our own state to come to Lake Martin, it has to be special.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The weekend of the Auburn vs Georgia football game we stayed at the lake with our best friends. The location was perfect for our needs, the house was a clean as the photos reflect and we were close enough for golf and dining. The next time we are looking for a ‘game day’ experience or just a place to relax – this will be our location of choice!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

I came for a girls getaway and we couldn't have picked a more perfect place! I love the feeling of walking into a vacation spot, taking that first look around and knowing your aren't going to be disappointed. Everything was as advertised. It was VERY well kept. Very Clean! The view was beautiful! My favorite part at night, was sitting on the porch with a glass of wine. And my favorite part of the morning, was the same spot with a cup of coffee! It was so peaceful! We had such a great time! The home was so nicely furnished and so clean! The beds were very comfortable. I came with three year old twins and they LOVED the bunk room. They also had a wonderful time jumping off the floating dock into the lake. They climbing out and jumped in a hundred times while we sat in lounge chairs enjoying the sun and watching them have fun! They wore themselves out in the day and it gave us the night! Though it feels so isolated every convenience was a couple of minutes away! We went for pizza and redbox movies. While the kids were sacked out we had a great time watching movies in the awesome leather loungers! But the mornings were the best. The lake was smooth as glass, calm and quiet. I LOVED sitting on the porch with my coffee,..until my girls got up and were ready to swim at 7AM! I was also thankful for all you provided. It was great not to have to pack up all of the necessities you need in a house. Thanks again, we really enjoyed our time!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

This is lake living at its best! It is like home, clean, roomy,beautifully furnished, and a marvelous view of lake Martin. We could sit on the huge screened in deck and relax or walk down to the pier and fish or swim. There is a large grill to cook out. It was a wonderful experince !!! I highly recommend this place !Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

First class set-up. Located within minutes of numerous hunting preserves, great golf, and the best fishing on Lake Martin, the largest reservoir in Alabama. Not to mention proximity to Auburn University and the many sports venues available. Perfect for that home football game. Obviously, well taken care of and maintained. Looking forward to another stay.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This lakehouse is beautiful and has been renovated and has beautiful furnishings. It has a huge screened in porch on the back with a wonderful view of the lake. There is a big deck on the water which is great for sunbathing and swimming. It was very clean and I will definitely be renting this again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a lakehouse to rent.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

This house has everything you could want in a vacation get-away: beautiful scenery, peace and quiet, luxurious furnishings and yet stores and restaurants are just a few minutes away. The owner is very hospitable and treated me like a special guest. After spending a long weekend here, I can recommend it highly.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
