Located in the heart of Sonoma Wine Country, our Glen Ellen farmhouse is the perfect spot to spend your next relaxing get-away. This restored home boasts 4 bedrooms and two full baths, both with vintage claw foot tubs. The huge master with king size bed sports wrap around windows overlooking the 1+ acre parcel. The home has been furnished in early California-style by an esteemed local designer and antique dealer.

Acreage includes a bocce ball court, play structure, trampoline and a brand new Hot Springs spa. In addition, the guest cottage sleeps four comfortably and includes a full bath.

And the best part... You can leave your car keys and walk to everything! Glen Ellen's best restaurants, The Fig Cafe, Glen Ellen Inn, Olive and Vine, Glen Ellen Star, Yeti and the Garden Court are all less than a 10 minute walk away. The Glen Ellen Village Market (think smaller, more reasonable Whole Foods) is even closer, as is the Jack London Saloon, our local watering hole. Up for some winetasting? Benzinger Family Winery, Andalussa and Eric Ross Winery are all walking distance too. Over 30 other wineries within a 15 minute radius.
How about a hike or a run? Jack London State Historic Park at 1,400 acres with 10 miles of hiking and mountain biking trails is located just a mile up the road. Sonoma Valley Regional Park is located a mile in the opposite direction with mostly flat trails.

My extended family stayed here while attending a wedding weekend in Sonoma. The property exceeded our expectations in every way. The beds are comfortable, the WIFI is fast, the grounds are fantastic for children (bocce court, trampoline, huge play structure), the house is nicely furnished, and the house is on a quiet back road within walking distance of Glen Ellen. The owner was very responsive and helpful and I would recommend this property for anyone looking for a relaxing low-key rental house that is oozing with charm.

We rented this property for my birthday weekend for a group of 12 friends. It was absolutely lovely in every way - the home itself is so charming; it's on a great piece of land and it's very tastefully decorated in a country chic style. This home is like an adult playground - hot tub, bocce, swings, grill, fire pit, even a trampoline is totally fun! And it's very close to a great market, some good bars and restaurants, and so many great wineries. It was the perfect size for my group - very comfortable and homey, with most everything you need provided. Highly recommended!

I stayed at this house last weekend with 12 girls, and it was even better than we expected! The pictures and descriptions don't quite do the house justice! There was a huge wrap-around porch with ample seating for the 12 of us, both at the huge picnic tables (there were two of them that could seat 12), and the various chairs near the fire pit, the lower deck and upper deck. There is also a spacious living room with very comfortable couches, chairs and a window seat, and screen doors that open up onto the porch. There is a hot tub and outdoor shower which I didn't even know about until we got there. This house is so cute and full of character, and the grounds are spacious, quiet and perfect for large groups and families. Everyone in our group loved the house and I would gladly recommend this to anyone! The neighborhood is great too - about a 5-10 minute walk to the Jack London Saloon and "downtown" Glen Ellen with a few wonderful restaurants, 1/2 mile to Jack London State Park, and a short drive from hundreds of wineries. This was a perfect central spot for our wine tasting weekend and much more affordable and enjoyable than a hotel in Sonoma! Lastly, the owner was extremely responsive to all of my questions and made this an easy renting process.

Wonderful weekend in Glen Ellen/Sonoma in the perfect house. We had 10 guests, which the house easily fit, and truly enjoyed every moment. Cozy decor, incredible patio, great hot tub, comfortable beds. One night we walked into Glen Ellen (a very short walk) and in the morning, you can run/walk to/in Jack London State Park. It was a perfect weekend made all the better by this incredible abode.

We stayed at this beautiful house for two nights during our stay in Glen Ellen. It was perfect for our group. There is a main house, and then a quaint cottage right next to it. It is really close to everything in town, and is a great place to unwind after a day full of wine tasting. They have a large enough table to seat everyone staying and the kitchen is fully equipped for cooking for a large group of people. The owner is very friendly and accommodating. He picked up charcoal for me before arriving. It was easy to book, easy to communicate, and easy to enjoy. I would highly recommend staying at this house, and if I am back in the area I will definitely book this house again for my stay.

We stayed at the house for 2 weeks while on business - it was great to be centrally located and an easy commute to Calistoga, Sonoma, and Santa Rosa. The house itself is in great shape and has a nice kitchen with a great stove, it was easy to cook great meals every night. The Glen Ellen market is within walking distance and surprisingly had almost everything you can get at Whole Foods. Sonoma and all the great restaurants are just 15 minutes away. We brought our 2 kids, aged 2.5 and 4.5. They loved the super-safe trampoline and the brand new playground, and running around in the yard and throwing bocce balls on the court. It was perfect for them, and an easy 1-hr drive to Muir Woods or Bodega Bay. Also up the street is a great winery, and at the end of the road, the Jack London house was really interesting and a great day trip. Overall the house was amazing and the owners were so nice - we're definitely going to stay again when we come back out west. Thank you Mike!

We golfed two days while we were here and relaxed and visited the rest of the time. Loved the village of Glen Ellen and wanted to try the Fig Cafe. However, it was so beautiful and pleasant to stay at the property, drink our wine, enjoy our dinner that we couldn't bring ourselves to leave. It is a wonderful place for couples, singles as well as families. I hope next time to bring my entire family (three daughters, husbands and two grandchildren for a family getaway.

A group of friends and I recently stayed here. I am very glad we chose this house, it had everything we needed and then some. The location was perfect, we walked into Glen Ellen on several occasions to get groceries and have dinner. The house was clean and has loads of character and is in excellent condition. There were 10 of us (5 couples) and everybody had a bed. Strangely, there were no drapes or blinds in any of the rooms. The bocce ball court and fire pit got tons of use and were great to have. The Benzinger winery was great, we walked there from the house but i would recommend driving. The Fig Cafe has excellent food! We bought a bunch of wine at the convenience store around the corner and brought it to the restaurant, no corkage fee. Jack London Saloon was fun, interesting crowd, but cheap and strong drinks. Jack London State Park was surprisingly cool. Sadly it will be closing soon due to budget cuts, so get there while you can.

We really enjoyed our trip. The house and cottage were quite comfortable. It is very close to some of the vineyards we visited in Sonoma and not too far from Napa. The place is quiet and relaxing. Several of us often walked to the market in Glen Ellen which isn't far at all. Everyone in our group had a wonderful stay and a wonderful trip. Thanks for allowing us to pick plums. They were delicious. We had two plum tarts and some plum jam made from your tree. We would definitely stay here again!!

We had a group of 5 couples that stayed in this lovely home over an extended Labor Day weekend. The owner was very forthcoming and responsive while we were planning our trip (on somewhat short notice!) and offered some excellent tips on restaurants and wineries to visit. The pictures on the website truly do not do this property justice. In addition to the spacious main house and guest cottage, there is an abundance of space outside with picnic tables, a fire pit, bocce ball court, horse shoes, a giant trampoline (which my girlfriends and I had way too much fun on) and a swingset/playground perfect for kids if you have them. We had a wonderful time here, as did all our guests- everything went smoothly, was very clean on arrival, the fully-loaded kitchen was put to good use, we enjoyed all of the outdoor activities, indoor board games and hook-ups for ipod-based tunes, fully equpped kitchen and indoor and outdoor eating areas, and the proximity to Glen Ellen. We walked into town for dinner at the Fig Cafe (at the owner's recommendation and an excellent one at that) and were very close to several wineries and the Glen Ellen Market for groceries and such. We will definitely stay here again on our next wine country visit and would recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable getaway!
