  There's not much that can beat a week in the Outer Banks. From the initial inquiry about this house to check out, I was not disappointed. Owners were attentive when I had questions prior to my rental period and checking in and out was very smooth. Location: House is literally 50 feet from the beach with a nice roof top deck view, while still being protected from the elements. It's in the southern part of Nags Head down near the Bodie Island lighthouse. It's easy to get back up to the main strip (couple minutes of drive time) and just far enough away to make it nice and quiet. A few houses down and there's nothing but beach, as the land is protected and there's no real estate which gives substantial lengths of quiet, peaceful beach to yourself. House: Described well but other reviewers are correct that the photos don't really do the property justice. Everything was clean and well maintained. Linens were provided at additional cost and they were well cared for, clean, etc. Furnishings were typical of a beach rental house. Master bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom looked to have been recently renovated and they did a great job on it. Definitely a beach box (read, small) but for two of us it was perfectly comfortable and we wouldn't have wanted anything larger. Would also be fine for a small family, etc. Amenities: Awesome to have a dishwasher and a washer/dryer in the house. Both were used numerous times during our week's stay. Grill was new and nice to have as well. Porch was screened in, lit and included a picnic bench. Add Ons: A number of things were already at the house (we did not use them but there were a few boogie boards, some sand castle building gear, etc.) which was nice. We brought our own paper towels, toilet paper, laundry detergent and trash bags but found that the house was actually already supplied with these things. Kitchen is WELL stocked with pretty much anything you need to cook (short of spices but that's nothing new on rentals and not expected at all). If you are looking for a simple, well kept and clean house to rent for a week, this is the one. You won't be disappointed. I was impressed with this property and the owners and will not hesitate to book it again for the next trip down!

  My boyfriend, father, brother and I stayed here in June of 2012! We were SO close to the ocean, the house was clean, roomy, just PERFECT! The roof top deck is amazing! It is down the road from "town" which is nice, because the beach isn't crowded at all. My boyfriend and I got engaged while we were there in June, and are planning a wedding in the OBX for September 2013. My fiance and I have booked this house AGAIN and my family will be staying right next to us with Geris Place. We are so excited and cannot wait to be back again!

  My husband and I stayed here over the weekend as a last minute trip to OBX and were pleasantly surprised! During this time of year, we were the only ones staying in this community of cottages and enjoyed the peace and quiet away from it all. It is not near a busy road so you can't hear any noise like that. (You can drive down the highway about 6 mins and you'll be amidst all the restaurants and stores if you want to go there.) We got to watch the sunset and look at the clear bright stars at night from the rooftop. During the day, it offered a wonderful view of the ocean, the bright blue sky, and the surrounding areas. We got some really pretty pictures. We could hear the waves crashing in the house and it was so serene. We just walked a few feet and then we were on the beach. It was so nice and peaceful staying here. It was such a great find for planning our trip last minute! All of the reviews are accurate. The pictures don't do it justice! It is bigger than it looks on the pics. It also has a little screened in porch before walking in the main door. The house was very well maintained and very clean. Everything was there so you could cook as needed. The kind sized bed in the master room was very nice too! Thanks for such a wonderful stay at your cottage! We will def. be staying here again perhaps later this year.

  I spent 10 glorious days here in January. I enjoyed my time here to no end. And like another reviewer said, the photos don't do the house justice. A couple of issues came up, minor ones, I contacted the owners and they *immediately responded*. I loved going here and will certainly come again. The beds are comfortable, the couch is a different one from the photos, so it was very (too) comfortable. The washer/dryer was a great addition. The kitchen is fully stocked and you can cook or bake almost anything. Really great house. Thanks so much~

  Nice, cute home soooo close to the beach! The weather and the fish did not cooperate but the house was cozy and comfortable. Would have been nice to have internet but otherwise everything else we needed was there - and it's pet-friendly! Enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner at Lone Cedar Cafe - excellent!

  We were pleasantly surprised to find this cottage to be much nicer than we expected... The pictures do not do it justice!! Cute and comfortable. Pleased to report that there is a tea kettle too!

  We just returned from a wonderful week in Nags Head staying at this cute beach cottage. The home is exactly as described on the site. The pictures don't show how cute it is when you see it in person! The owners were friendly and pleasant to work with and quickly responded via email with any questions I had. The house is very clean and well-equipped. We found the house to have everything that we could need for a week at the beach. The home is located way south of the hotel strip, so the beach is wonderfully peaceful and not crowded. You are far enough away from the crowds to feel like you are really on vacation. It is a little bit of a drive to the shops, restaurants, etc., but worth it. We really enjoyed sipping a glass of wine on the roof deck. The community pool was an added plus. We would most certainly recommend this home to a small family or two couples. We would definitely rent again. Thank you, Camila, for sharing your home with us! We miss it already.

  we went in january for my birthday with our english bulldog and my inlawas. the house was so clean and camilla left us a bottle of wine and taffy . really cute house. good location. chris robin and auggie

  We just stayed there over Christmas- we wanted a quiet time away and this was perfect. House is steps away from the beach with beach views from the living room and rooftop deck. We went there with our rescue dog (lab and husky) and she loved being able to go out the front door and run to the beach. House is cozy with a well equiped kitchen. Comfortable with most everything you are looking for. On the south side of Nags Head so if you are looking for quiet and peaceful and close to the beach this is it. Owner was most responsive

  My husband, in-laws and I stayed in this comfortable beach cottage for the weekend to run the Obx marathon. We found the beach house to be VERY clean, no bugs in sight, beds were comfortable, super close to the beach, and a perfect location- close to restaurants and shops but far enough away to be relaxing and quite. Can see the ocean from the front door. Nice kitchen with oven, microwave, coffee maker, dishwasher, dishes to cook/bake, house also had washer and dryer. The property owners were very accommodating and welcoming and easy to communicate with via email. Overall, all four of us had a wonderful experience staying at this cute, comfortable and clean cottage.

  Recommended for: Tourists without a car.
