Recently, my wife and I were back in St. Thomas for a few days before heading over to Tortola for a bareboat charter. When we lived in St. Thomas, we lived in the Serenity Cottage that over looks the Secret Harbor Resort & bay. The water is clear and you often see turtles and fish and sometimes deer will run along the edge of the property. Further on the horizon, you'll see St. Croix. At night, you have the beautiful glow of cruise ships as they leave Charlotte Amalie for Caribbean destinations. To the right you could see Veiquez, Puerto Rico's famed island and other islands. Overall a lovely place to call home with awesome views. Now, with it's recent renovation, the entire Paradise Cove is a paradise for travelers that want to find a budget conscious, out of the way place to stay. Everything is wonderfully clean and new. We were given a tour of the efficiency apartments by Danielle, the upbeat friendly manager. After seeing the changes they made, these are truly the best kept secret and value in lodging in St. Thomas. They are large with magnificent views and very comfy... everything new. We highly recommend Danielle and the entire Paradise Cove complex. Now that they've opened the internet cafe, I really don't think you can find a better place to stay. This mini-resort has it all and, at the right price. Terry and Jeanne Hudson

We had an incredible time! Everything stated in the description is true. Breathtaking view above the water with no properties below. Private - we spent the entire week with the windows and curtains wide open allowing us to appreciate the gorgeous view of the ocean and the gentle breeze. Short walk to Secret Harbor which has a beautiful reef and great food! We're glad we rented a car and were able to visit other beaches, but you certainly could be happy walking to Secret Harbor and Red Hook. We walked down to the Ritz, and I was very happy to leave the long lines of chaise loungers and busy pools for my private condo!! (We had the pool to ourselves each time we went in!) Danielle was very helpful and was always ready to help and give great advice!!

If you are a couple looking for a quiet corner of paradise to relax in, or a family up to four that needs an accommodating base to explore this corner of heaven from you can stop your search here. Serenity is a well appointed, comfortable cottage with really everything you need to enjoy your stay. The view is absolutely unsurpassed at even the most expensive rooms on the island. The owners are continuing to improve what is already a wonderful property to make it even more appealing. We anxiously await the opportunity to come down and visit again.

It was thrilling to arrive and find that Serenity was everything it was touted to be...and then some! Words just cannot describe the breathtaking magnificence of opening the back door and having all that ocean beauty laid out at your feet. Forget sleeping in (although I am usually a late sleeper) -- you simply will NOT want to miss the sunrise over the harbor! The place felt like home within a matter of minutes. They certainly got their money's worth on that fantastic king sized mattress... I bet it cost a fortune! Such a good night's sleep. I loved being just "up the hill" from the restaurants in Red Hook. And the Marina Market?? Oh my gosh...everything you could imagine to delight the culinary within you. Fresh fruits and veggies, great wine selection, meats, spices, frozen foods...everything!! Only takes about 45 minutes to drive to/from the airport... and I highly suggest having a rental car. Danielle was so accommodating and caring. You can tell that she loves what she does and adores the property as if it were her own! I cannot wait to come back and spend another few days there in paradise!!!

The cottage sits on the hillside directly above the water, sporting a panoramic view from the long covered porch, unobstructed from east to west. The unit is newly renovated, clean and well maintained. The nearby cove is perfect for snorkeling and swimming from the sandy beach in this quiet corner of St. Thomas. One of the best assets is the property manager, Danielle. She made the booking process and stay very pleasant with her warm and gracious personality. We would like to come back again.

Absolutely loved staying in the Serenity Condo. The view is breathtaking, it's a perfect location. We loved the grounds, the pool and the walking path to the ocean. Secrete Harbor is so beautiful. Thank you to Danielle, who really helped make our trip awesome!

We stayed at Serenity Cottage in August, 2011. It was our favorite vacation. The property is conveniently located and we walked into Red Hook frequently to eat or shop. Additionally, the beach at Secret Harbor resort was only five minutes away. The cottage is a perfect place to stay if you want privacy, peace, and romance. We saved hundreds by fixing our own meals and only ate out about four times in 12 days. Dinner on the balcony was wonderful. We sat out there for hours every night. The property itself was lovely, best of all it is private. Danielle is a great host. She is enthusiastic, helpful, available, and offered great tips. She went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure we had everything we needed. We love to snorkel and we were not disappointed. The snorkeling at Secret Harbor was the best of anywhere we've been, we saw turtles, stingrays, a nurse shark, lobster, and tons of beautiful fish. We spent at least three hours in the water every day. We also went on two excursions and over to St. John's on our own. Last, we were forced to stay four extra days due to Hurricane Irene. Danielle was so kind and made sure that we had everything we needed. We weathered out the storm quite comfortably, and although it was a change of plans, it worked out fine because Danielle was so very accommodating. She helped us with phone and internet use, food and transportation, We will return to Paradise Cove every year, if our schedule allows!

Had a wonderful 4th of July weekend stay at the Paradise Cove. The property is very strategically located - Red Hook, Ferry to St. John, Grocery Store, Restaurants, Night Life and some fantastic snorkeling in Secret Harbor. The rooms are clean and well appointed. Very large kitchen which makes it ideal for cooking a nice dinner if you don't feel like eating out. The icing on the cake is the large balcony with amazing views of Nazareth Bay. Danielle - the property manager - is excellent and goes above and beyond to help out with any information and to ensure a comfortable stay. I would recommend this place.

We rented Serenity cottage for our 1st anniversary trip. It was wonderful! Everything was brand new and clean and the views from the cottage are breathtaking. We made breakfast every morning and had drinks every morning on the giant porch and just watched the ocean :) We also hiked down the trail to the rocks below and it is definately an amazing feeling like you are in the middle of paradise. The location is easy to find and about a 15 minute drive from the airport. We stayed for 5 days and rented a car to tour all around the island, but the cottage was extremely close (2 minute drive) to the Red Hook ferry and lots of stores and restaurants. Secret Harbor resort is also within walking distance and has a great beach. We recommend Serenity to everyone looking for peaceful, clean accomodations with amazing views!!!

We rented the Serenity Cottage for our Honeymoon. It was a wonderful place! The view from the Deck of the house was breathtaking. It was nice to sit out on the deck with a refreshment and watch the boats sail by. The sound of the waves put us to sleep at night. The place was newly remodeled and very clean. It is in a very good location on the island. We rented a car because we wanted to tour the islands of St Thomas and St Johns. It would not be necessary though. You are in walking distance of Secret Harbor, a beautiful beach, which is a great location to snorkel and swim. They even have a raft to swim out to. It is very close to wonderful restaurants on the east end of the island, close to the Ferry to St Johns and cute shops. Paradise Cove has a private swimming pool you can use, with the same awesome view as the house deck. The pool was great if we did not want to head to the beaches or for a quick swim after a long day of fun and sun. We WILL be recommending Paradise Cove to all our friends and family. I assure you that you will not be disappointed with your stay!

We LOVE Paradise Cove! It was still undergoing renovation while we were there but got a fantastic rate!! All the employees were very friendly and helpful, they were more than willing to recommend the “local” hot spots. The view from Serenity Cottage was magnificent, and one clear day we actually saw St. Croix!! Also just as the listing states, Secret Harbor Beach is walking distance, we did a night snorkel/dive through Aqua Action and highly recommend it! St. Thomas overall was great, and we definitely will return. Next time though, we will have our groceries & liquor delivered prior to our arrival. Our favorite restaurant in Red Hook was East End Café, a little higher priced but the food was excellent. To anyone traveling Serenity is a wonderful cottage, all new furnishings, clean, private, and cool. A car helps for sure, but make sure you can take it across the channel to St. John. We also enjoyed “Woodys” for a quick afternoon lunch (after snorkeling and before shopping)! Great trip!
