I know you all love your dogs like family but some members of my family have allergies. There is also so much wildlife that a dog might discourage them from coming around. Right now we have a deer path right across our property, it has been that way for over 60 years and I don't want them to reroute themselves. Thank you in advance for understanding. Their are lots of dog places here for their own adventures while you are vacationing. If you need info on that, let me know. Thank you in advance for understanding....moreless

Beautiful home, Quaint and private with Classy Cottage style
Our family enjoyed staying here so much, everyone wants to come back next summer. We couldn't believe how well equipped it was from beautiful dishes in the kitchen to comfortable decks(the best views of the lake) and a fire pit with everything you need for the best evening smores. The kayaks and tubes were a big hit. Everything was so well appointed and clean. This house is beautiful and there was enough room to invite friends over and entertain. The owner was available for any questions and provided everything we needed.

Our vacation was everything we hoped for.
Your place is the epitome of what a house on the Lake should be. We had a great time, the only regret was the we did not stay for another week. With Glacier Park so close and Big Mountain, with all its adventures, and your beautiful cottage on the Lake, we had the best vacation ever. The August weather was so warm and the cool Lake and all the activity it provides could have kept us busy for the entire summer. The kids enjoyed all the water activities so much, I am sure we will come back. Our vacation at your gorgeous spot was everything we had hoped for.

My nieces and I had a lovely, relaxing, fun 4 days. What a beautiful spot. The eagles, ducks, great walking paths, the fantastic view from the deck and the deer that wondered on and off the property. We had a wonderful time. Thanks for sharing your home with us.

We will be back next year ! Send the contract.
Our family had an incredible time. We have been visiting Whitefish for years and this is the nicest location we have stayed. The home and property has everything you might want and the owner/caretaker helped us out with everything we needed. We will be returning next year and might even be bringing more of our family. If anyone is looking for a nice place to spend family time, the Lakeshore Cottage is the perfect place. We are even interested in winter as the pictures of the home and the surroundings in the snow are so inviting. We are doubling our reservation for next year and look forward next years summer vacation. We golfed every morning and played at the lake every afternoon and evening. What a great vacation place !

Gorgeous and Perfect!
Gorgeous and Perfect!
My family stayed there this summer for one week. We had so much fun. My kids were out playing on the lake from daybreak to sunset (which is 10:30 in MT), so NICE to have a private dock and lakefront space. We could sit on the deck and drink coffee or a glass of wine and watch them play. We got the best of both worlds..the kids got to play like crazy and the adults got to relax with a gorgeous view. The house is tucked down on the lake so there was lots of privacy. We saw eagles, deer and baby ducks all on our first day. A slice of heaven. The house was beautifully decorated and felt very comfy. We had everything we needed. The owner was very nice to work with also. I bet it is gorgeous in the Fall and Winter. We will be back for sure!

Perfect Family home
We call this house and location "Gods land". We stayed there this New Years for 8 days and had a fabulous time. The house is comfortable and the view is beautiful. From cozy blankets to everything you need in the kitchen this house is stocked. We spent endless hours at the dining room table playing games and enjoying the view. The loft upstairs is a perfect place for the kids to sleep, play video games and sneak away with a book. I highly recomend this house to anyone wanting a bit of paradise.

Year Purchased: 2006
About the owner: I always knew that someday I would live on Whitefish Lake. My grand parents used to run a cabin resort named 'Win-na-kee Cottages' during the 1950's, 60's and 70's. Most of the grand kids came every summer to spend weeks making beds, renting boats, cleaning cabins, mowing lawns and just enjoying being around the lake. I dreamed of some day having my own home on the Lake and now I do.My home was built in 2006. I love to share it with families so they can also create the same kind of memories that last for generations. I love it here ! All seasons are wonderful. I will do everything I can to make your stay the best vacation you ever had.
Why the Owner Chose Whitefish Lake:
The memories from my childhood lured me here my entire life. When you arrive in Whitefish you are engaged with energy from the beautiful surroundings and all of the water that surrounds you. The Whitefish River is just across the bay and is so fun to canoe or tube down. The ducks and geese and even an occasional river otter, are all along the banks. Use your imagination and explore all the rivers, streams, creeks, and especially all the lakes in the area. The eclectic town of Whitefish appears small but is large in what it has to offer. The privacy of the property lends itself to relaxing, picture taking and sharing experiences with your family in a spectacular setting.
The Unique Benefits at this Bed And Breakfast:
This cottage is on the East end of the Lake. It is withing walking distance to town and City Beach. It has a private driveway. The cottage is almost sitting on the lake shore. It is very private and the wildlife is everywhere. The furnishings and the things this house has to offer will help make your experience almost perfect. The large covered decks that surround the house, give you many ways to spend your vacation time. There are two picnic tables on the lawn. Move them around between the sun and shade. They are so fun to have for family use. Enjoy a game of horseshoes or even soccer. Just relax, and enjoy. Lay on the dock, listen to the water and nature noises. Take pictures of all the animals that wonder on and off the property. When you leave Whitefish, you will not have to take a vacation from your vacation. You will feel rested and renewed with all that you have experienced here.
