My family and I recently stayed at this property for a long weekend. The home was just as beautiful as the pictures indicated, with incredible art work throughout. We had an amazing visit! The property is about a 10 minute walk to the plaza, great central location--tucked away on a little street, which was true to Santa Fe form. There were loads of pamphlets and directions to all the sights left on the dining table, which we found helpful. I would highly recommend staying here for your next Santa Fe getaway!

My two friends and I were planning a "girls only" weekend in Santa Fe and booked this home to stay at. It turned out to be a great rental! Everything seems really new in this house and it was very clean. It was perfect for three people, or it could work for three couples or a large family too. (Although you do have to walk through one bedroom to get to the back bedrooms, but it wasn't an issue for us). The bedrooms and full bathrooms were all very spacious and it was nice to have a half-bath as well. The kitchen had everything we needed as well. There is only one TV with basic cable, but it was sufficient for us as we weren't there to watch tv anyway. The skylights in the house were beautiful and really lit up the place nicely. The location was very close to downtown Santa Fe. We drove to everything but I suppose you could walk if you had to. The private driveway was nice, but the gate seemed a little too narrow for our large SUV, so we didn't attempt it and parked on the street the entire trip. Marta, the property manager, was very nice and helpful when we needed her. We loved this house and we would highly recommend it!

Owner response: Thank you so much! It means a lot to us when our guests are happy and enjoy Santa Fe and their stay. Hope to see you again soon!

We arrived October 4, 2012 and the home was ready, clean and well maintained This home is well situated in Santa Fe. We walked to the plaza in the morning and came back to enjoy the home and walked again for dinner. It was great to leave the car and not have to look for parking. The home is located in a charmming older neighborhood. The interior is fully up-to-date while maintaining the architectural New Mexican style and very nicely decorated. There was lots of room to spread out with a great patio area to privately enjoy the outside and the great New Mexico air. My wife and I grew up in New Mexico and it had been many years since our last visit. This home provided a great place to rekindle memories of our past and enjoy what we feel is a true New Mexico experience. The owners of this home have put much effort to make it feel truely New Mexican. I would recommend this to any of my friends wanting to visit Santa Fe and feel the culture of living in the style of Santa Fe.

We would go back to this property again and will recommend it to others. The manager was very prompt in a needed repair and accommodated our requests. We visited during Spanish Market, a favorite time, and were able to hike, see opera, listen to chamber music. The variety of activities appealed to both adults and teenagers. The property inside was quite comfortable and attractive, and we walked the distance to the Plaza easily.

I stayed here with a group of friends for several days in February. All I can say, is that when I got home I have done nothing but rave about how great it was to stay in this house. The location is perfect (a ten minute walk to downtown Santa Fe) and the house is very cozy and spacious. The owner was very friendly and available to answer questions or concerns, and was very accommodating, providing a variety of teas, nice dishes and silverware, towels, and soap. The place was immaculate, with nice furniture, spacious bedrooms and bathrooms, and large/comfortable beds, and an awesome kitchen. There is a Trader Joes very close by to pick up some groceries for eating at home. I really enjoyed eating at the Atomic Cafe located in the plaza area of downtown Santa Fe. And of course, one will leave Santa Fe with an addiction to New Mexico Green Chile. Oh my gosh, Huevos Rancheros with green chile is pure heaven!!! If you stay at this house, you will forget that you are on vacation and feel that you it is your house and you are a citizen of Santa Fe. The only negative, is having to leave! :-)

The owners of this vacation rental aptly named it "Guadalupe Dream." This is the dream home I've always wanted and luckily, I was able to spend some time here for a girlfriend's getaway. The pictures don't quite do the place justice, because so much of the home's appeal are due to the varied textures and accents within the home. Upon entering, my mood was immediately lifted by the elegant music playing in the background to welcome us. My goddaughter immediately began to enjoy the feel of the super soft throw rug in the main room, while I appreciated the sun from the skylights all throughout the house, the bubbling fountain in the back, the light that poured through the glass doors, the elegance of the bathrooms and the open space within each of the bedrooms. Between the 7 of us who stayed there, we could not have filled up all of the closet space if we tried. We fully utilized the beautiful kiva fireplaces in the evening and enjoyed the sunshine in the back patio in the mornings. It was truly a luxurious experience. The home was a 10 minute walk to the plaza, but also near the Railyard District and there were some restaurants and stores in the neighborhood off of Agua Fria. We took advantage of the location to avoid the parking meters in the plaza area. All of the appliances were new and clean. The property manager was absolutely friendly and very responsive to all of my needs. Every detail was attended to from kitchen supplies, to various teas and coffees to music playing in the background upon our welcome. I would absolutely recommend this rental to my dearest friends (they enjoyed it also).

About the owner: Welcome to our private oasis! When we first saw this house we fell in love with its gorgeous Santa Fe style—and equally important, it FELT good. We purchased it immediately and proceeded to make it even better. We are travelers and writers who are currently working on 'Powerful Places in . . . ,' a guidebook series that includes Scotland, Brittany, the Caminos de Santiago, and others. You can see what we do by visiting our website called powerfulplaces(dot)com. Elyn is a fiber artist and anthropologist who studies pilgrimage and sacred places. Gary is a retired music professor and composer, whose current interests include eBook publication and having fun. We are presently living in Girona, Catalonia, Spain, and traveling around Europe, so we are making our beloved Santa Fe home available for short-term rental. In our absence our good friend Marga Friberg (whose photo you see here) is managing our place. Marga is an architect and neighbor, an experienced property manager, and an all-round good person. Come feel what it's like to live in an historic Santa Fe neighborhood walking distance to great restaurants, fine galleries, the Farmers Market, the Railyard District, and the Plaza. We love Santa Fe and think you will too.

The Unique Benefits at this House:
This beautiful home is a wonderful refuge in an historic neighborhood full of character. Relax in beauty and luxury after spending a day sightseeing and enjoying Santa Fe.
