The Shooting Star Cabin 6810 is situated within the Shooting Star Resort developed in Jackson directly next to the Teton Mountains and ski area. The resort contains an acclaimed golf course developed by Tom Fazio, and the amenities available to this cabin through the clubhouse and related facilities are of a “world class exclusive resort” standard. The clubhouse contains an enormous and well appointed gym, a superb spa, swimming pool, Jacuzzis, a beautiful dining area and, of course, complete golf amenities for the golf hobbyist.
The property is situated next to a stream and is surrounded by native grasses and foliage with expansive views of the Teton Mountains and open ranch land. The property has easy access to mountain walks, extended bike rides (both on and off-road), Grand Teton National Park, Roosevelt Park and, of course all of the other facilities associated with the Jackson Hole area. The cabin provides four bikes and helmets, snowshoes and other gear.
Cabin 6810, which is really a spectacular house, is designed by architect Jonathan Foote and constructed using reclaimed barn wood. It has the look of a traditional Wyoming homestead, coupled with modern attention to detail. The house is exquisitely appointed. High ceilings, warm tones and traditional fixtures are featured throughout the house. There is a stone terrace, an outside Jacuzzi and spectacular views of the Sleeping Indian range across the valley and of the Grand Teton to the north.
This home, which enjoys tremendous attention to detail, features 4 bedrooms, but can also be rented as a 3 bedroom home as one of the bedrooms is completely private and can be locked off.
The great room includes a gourmet kitchen, dining area and living space. The French doors from the great room open onto the terrace providing great views as well as easy access to the beautiful surroundings. The lush furnishings provide comfort for relaxation in a luxurious setting. The kitchen is equipped for a catered meal or a home cooked affair. It is complete with a Subzero refrigerator, two refrigerator drawers and a wine fridge. There is a Wolf range and oven as well as a wall oven and microwave. There is plenty of counter space to make a great meal or a quick snack. The flat screen TV disappears into a purpose built cabinet and is backed up by a great DVD collection.
A den, separate from the main living space, provides a quiet getaway to watch a movie, listen to music or a comfortable place to read a great novel. It contains a sectional couch, cushy ottoman and flat screen TV perfect for relaxation. This room is also perfect kids.
The master suite, also on the first level, offers huge walk-in closets and a large master bath with his and her sinks, jetted tub and separate shower. There is a king-size bed and a sitting area with serene views. Overstuffed chairs provide his and her relaxing while watching the fire or flat screen TV.
Also found on the first floor is a powder room located off the hall, tucked away from the living space to provide easy access for guests.
The second floor has three bedrooms and an office.
The first upstairs bedroom has one set of twin bunk beds and another twin perfect for kids. There is an en-suite bathroom with tub and enough space for a board game before tucking the kids in for the night.
The second upstairs bedroom, decorated in rich colors, offers two twin beds that can also be converted to a king size bed. There is an en-suite bathroom with a glass encased stand up shower.
The upstairs office has a great place to work using the Wi-Fi internet with a built-in desk and plenty of space to spread out. There is also a chair for reading and a collection of books for guest use.
The third upstairs bedroom is a separate suite over the garage. There is a king size bed with a sitting area, refrigerator and microwave. This suite has a separate entrance ensuring privacy and solitude. A sofa provides a spot to get away and snuggle in with a movie on the flat screen TV or a great novel.
Finally, the 2 car garage has plenty of storage area for summer and winter recreation gear as well, of course, as the four bikes.
Located just 25 minutes from the town of Jackson and a short walk to Teton village, Shooting Star is idyllic and beautiful. The perfect retreat for a family or a group of friends, Shooting Star is all you will want and more.
