Dear Cindy & Jim, "Next to the Best" has been our home away from home for three winter seasons. Each season we have extended our stay and we couldn't be happier with our choice. The location of "Next to the Best" in the Village of Siesta Key, is very convenient and allows us to walk just a few steps to get to the beach, or the Siesta Market, or the drugstore, or to enjoy a great meal. Although we are right in the Village, the property is also quite private with very little foot traffic or noise - a big plus for us. As owner/managers it is plainly evident to us that you care about the property and want tenants to have a good stay. The property is clean, well maintained, and well stocked with everything we needed. Hot water is plentiful and everything is in good working order - ceiling fans, A/C, WiFi, TV, appliances, etc. In the rare instance we have needed something you have always responded immediately. In addition, because we have returned for several seasons, we have been on the receiving end of the upgrades you have made- tile floors, new windows, exterior painting, new appliances, etc. It makes a difference to us that you live on Siesta Key and are close by. Your honesty, integrity and competitive rates are also greatly appreciated by us. We meant to author some comments for you last year (and the year before that) but somehow the time got away from us. My husband and I just spent 10 days here and loved every minute of it! Unit was very comfortable, clean and had everything you needed. Pool was wonderful. Having a washer and dryer was a plus! Location was perfect - walk to beach, shops and restaurants. This was our 11th vacation in Siesta Key. We have stayed in other rentals, but this is now our favorite. Will definitely be back next year and will stay longer! Cindy and her family could not have been nicer. Even when our car battery was dead, she was there in 5 minutes to jump us off. Only negative . . . we had to come home much too soon and it rained all the way home!Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, tourists without a car, girls getaway, sightseeing.
