Serendipity Cabin sits high on the bluff of Birch Lake with a beautiful sunset view of the water. Birchwood is the BlueGill capitol of the world and avid fisherman sneak into the cove near our dock often, as it has the reputation for being a sweet spot on the lake. Birch Lake is part of the Chetec chain of lakes, so you can enjoy the excitement of Big Chetac, but the tranquility, great swimming, kayaking and pontooning on Birch Lake. Fish right off the dock or just sit and enjoy the eagles, loons and other wildlife. Boat in/out of nearby stops for your beverage of choice or a homemade burger. The sandbar on Big Chetac is a traditional stop for boaters enjoying a nice cruise and wanting to cool off in the clean lake water. Head back to the cabin after a day on the water, or a day on the ATV trails and enjoy a bonfire, gourmet meal off the grill and luxurious amenities and ultra comfortable beds. Winter months are also a treat in the Northwoods with Christie Mountain skiing and tubing only 20 minutes away. Cross country skiing and snowshoeing are all available in the nearby area, many trails only minutes from the cabin. Generous off road parking makes it easy for boats and trailers. Central air conditioning, full laundry, and all the conveniences of home with a vacation feel. Take advantage of the screened in porch for morning coffee or late night chats when the fire has gone out. Small fenced yard for your dog so he doesn't run off chasing the deer. Ed's Pit Stop and downtown Birchwood offer great restaurants and fishing license and anything else you could need or want just 1 1/2 mi away. If you want a rainy day adventure, head to Hayward's wonderful shopping area and enjoy homemade fudge and yummy treats. We had a delightful visit with my brother and his wife and two kids staying on Birch Lake at Serendipity. A spacious cabin more like a home, fully furnished with all you need for a Northwoods getaway. I grew up vacationing in northern Wisconsin so this was a trip back in time and Birch Lake did not disappoint. Great fishing, beautiful scenery and campfires at night. There were a lot of activities we did not get around to doing so there is plenty of reason to return!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children.

Serendipity Cabin was amazing!!! I enjoyed so much of the tranquility and charm of this cabin. Mornings on the screen porch with coffee and a good book ... the feeling of tranquility with the birds singing and soft breezes blowing... I loved every minute of it. The cabin had everything that we needed to make for one of the best weeks ever! Thanks!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

We loved Serendipity! We spent marvelous 3 days with our girls (9 and 7 years old) and my parents. Everything about the cabin and the area was so beautiful...the cabin has a deck that takes you to the lake...For the first time in my life I got to walk on a frozen lake!! a huge excitement for us, "city slickers". The cabin was very clean, cozy and comfortable. I loved that the owners have kids...as my kids enjoyed playing with their toys and watch their favorite movies. They thought about everything...every time we were thinking "oh, I wish we brought xxx" there is was in the cabin! We cannot wait to go back in the summer and see how beautiful the place is when its all green and we can take the boat fishing.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

Very nice home. Clean and spacious...plenty of room for 4 adults, 2 kids and 2 dogs. Owner even left treats and dishes out for the dogs. Quiet area on a quiet lake...perfect for relaxing. We grilled out several times and then enjoyed a camp fire. Surrounding area very nice for biking/running if you want to get in a little exercise. Owner responds quickly to email.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, pet owners, families with young children.
