  Ski and Glee certainly exceeded our expectations. The house itself was impressive, but all of the extra amenities; pool, hot tub, mini golf, game room, sauna, and horseshoe pits made the place mind blowing. In fact a couple of us are going to build horseshoe pits modeled after Rick's. We had a group of 8 adults and 5 children and we hardly saw the kids. They were in the game room most of the weekend and the rest of the time they were in the pool. I, myself, did not leave the property the entire three days we were there. No need to. I cannot immagine a better more responsive owner than Rick. I called him several times upon arrival with small questions about a few things. Each time he was professional and encouraged me to contact him with any questions or concerns no matter how small. We have rented many times at Deep Creek and I beleive this was the best place. We will be back!!

  I could gush for hours about Ski & Glee but I will make it clean and simple. Born in 1983, this house appeals to every single one of my senses. In a two day span I went skiing, watching NCAA basketball on a 73" TV, soaked in a hot tub, played pool, went swimming, BBQed, played Off Road, Simpson's pinball and Cruisin' Exotica. If you want to have a good time, stay a house Rick owns. You won't regret it or forget it!

  Our ladies weekend trip was absolutely wonderful. Ski and Glee was a terrific find there was so much to do to entertain us during our stay. The arcade games, the pool, the hot tub and sauna but what made our trip so wonderful besides our time together was being able to contact Rick and get immediate response to our needs. Thank you Rick for everything you did for us. You have an amazing home we enjoyed ourselves so much.

  We rented this property for a spring break getaway with two other families. The house's layout was ideal for keeping an eye on the kids but giving them their space to play. We were able to go snow tubing, skiing, and hiking at a state park. Wisp is only a few minutes away, and the kids loved the mountain coaster there. Once back at the house, it didn't take long for everyone to find something to do - hang out at the large kitchen table, play in the arcade or swim at the pool. The owner was very easy to work with, and he even visited the house during our stay (after I sent him an email) to fix a problem with one of the arcade games. We all enjoyed this property, and one of the kids even declared that the vacation was "better than Disney World!" We plan to return for another stay.

  I've been using VRBO / HomeAway for years, and this is hands down the best place I've ever stayed. The price for value would have been fair even without all of the plus-ups, like an arcade, sauna, indoor pool... but there they are. Rick was easy to communicate with, and we felt very well taken care of. I can't recommend this place enough, and can't wait to get back there in the Summer.

  My wife and I, and our two boys, have stayed at Ski and Glee several times. I've written about it before, and I wondered whether I'd exhausted the legal limit for superlatives. However, the circumstances this time were a bit different, and allowed me the opportunity to say a bit more about a place that my family and I really feel is a 'home away from home'. Our extended family has a Christmas tradition dating back several decades, where we get together on Christmas Day --- usually just for the day, coming from nearby states --- at one of our homes to celebrate together. My immediate family has been the host these last few years, and had planned the same this year. However it became apparent, a few weeks before the holiday, that our home renovation was not going to be completed in time for Christmas, despite our planning. Rick (the owner) was kind enough to allow us to rent Ski and Glee for the occasion. There was a bit of trepidation in planning to spend Christmas at Deep Creek, in that, as an extended family, we'd never celebrated Christmas outside of one of our homes before. Christmas felt like a tradition (at least with our family) that was different from a regular 'vacation', and, as nice as we knew Ski and Glee was, we weren't exactly sure how the whole thing would go over with some of our elderly relatives. No surprises here, though; We all had a *spectacular* Christmas celebration! My wife and the boys were able to arrive a few days early to "prepare" (read: enjoy the pool, play in the arcade, etc., etc), then everyone else trickled in from Christmas Eve through Christmas Day. Over the years, we have become quite used to Rick's *legendary* attention to detail; however our relatives were newly impressed with the countless amenities that Ski and Glee provides. There were comments about the excellent acoustics -- several kids screaming their lungs out in the pool, yet just barely audible in the kitchen and living room. The gourmet-level kitchen, the really, really nice mattresses, great sheets and high-end towels (really!). The moment that I realized that it was "all good", was 1 a.m. Christmas morning, when I helped my elderly in-laws navigate the pool-to-hot tub-to-sauna, then back to the pool, circuit. We were having such a ball on Christmas Eve that everyone forgot about the time! What happens when you combine a peerless owner like Rick, with an awesome resort/home for Christmas? A truly memorable and special holiday for this family.

  Just returned from our trip to Wisp and staying at Ski and Glee. We had a wonderful time. The owner has done a tremendous job creating the perfect getaway. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was fully equiped. We took full advantage of the arcade, the full movie list, the hot tub, and unfortunately for a ski trip, the mini-golf. The views are amazing and the location is perfect being near the top parking area for the resort. Most importantly the owner was quick and thorough in his response to all questions and comments. This was an easy trip to plan... already looking ahead to next year.

  What an awesome vacation house. There is so much to do right at the house for everyone of all ages. It was great seeing the Grandparents play pinball. It was an experience being in the hottub while snow was falling from the sky. The house met all my expectations and more. It was nice having meals in the kitchen and everyone being able to sit at the same table and enjoy each others company. Many memories were made at Ski&Glee and can't wait to return.

  This house has everything a family/ freinds get away could want. We had a Grandparents with adult children and grandchildren during our stay and everyone had something they enjoyed doing. The grandkids LOVED the arcade and said that was their favorite part of the weekend with the pool coming in a close second. We didn't get to enjoy the mini golf or horse shoes thanks to hurricane Sandy dumping 3 feet of snow and covering them up, but we did enjoy all of the other amenities. The dart board has a heckle mode which livens up any dart game. A good time was had by all, we would definitely come back to this house or any of this owners other properties. The attention to detail really shows.

  Our family reunion was almost canceled due to a power outage compliments of Hurricane Sandy. But, power was restored a few days prior to our visit and we were thrilled to find several feet of snow on the ground! Ski and Glee was by far, the most beautiful, amenty filled home we have ever rented. From the quality of the bedding and towels to the variety of games in the arcade, this home was top notch. Although we couldn't access the mini golf course, we were able to shovel our way to and take advantage of the hot tub, sauna and fire pit, all quite enchanting in this winter wonderland! The kitchen was built for entertaining and preparing large meals while the dining table provided ample seating for our early Thanksgiving dinner (the double ovens were perfect for the turkey and sides!) Overall, the house was very updated and extremely clean, something you don't ofen find in most rental homes. We had several questions for Rick while at the house and he responded within minutes of our emails. Because of all the things to do at the house, we didn't leave except to get more firewood! This house is perfect for any type of getaway....family, girls only, romantic. Thanks for everything Rick!
