Wildridge cabin has no TV, no clocks and no cell phone reception. Take that as a hint. Wake up when you like, do what you want, live in the moment. The outside world can’t touch you here.
Located in the Mayacama Mountains separating the Napa and Sonoma Valley “Wine Country”, Wildridge Cabin allows you a stay in “the country” only minutes away from shopping, wine tasting and some of the Bay Area’s finest restaurants.
Those interested in hiking, cycling and kayaking will find miles of trails nearby and access to rental kayaks on the Russian River during the summer season.

The kitchen is fully outfitted with dishes and glassware, pots and pans, a full sized refrigerator; everything you need to prepare meals and is also wheelchair accessible.

We stayed at the Waldbaum cabin for two nights, and had a wonderful time. The cabin is cozy, especially with the wood stove going, and is fully equipped for cooking and just about everything you might need. We loved the fact that there was no internet. The huge claw foot bathtub is perfect for lounging in a scented bath before bed, and the moon, stars, and silence of the night lull you to sleep. Thank you!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing, people with disabilities.

My wife and I stayed at the Waldbaums Wildridge Cabin for a few days for our honeymoon last winter. We were looking at pictures recently and remembering how awesome our stay was. We recalled being cuddled up in the romantic rustic cabin with the rain outside poring down, the fire crackling in the background and sipping on champagne just enjoying each others company. There were no cell phones ringing, emails to be checked or TVs Blaring. It was a great escape after such a hectic couple of weeks. The memories of our stay at the cabin invoked such wonderful feelings it drove us to write this review. The beauty of this cabin is you get a different experience than any hotel or motel. It's like your own home for a couple days and you really feel removed and tucked away from all stresses of the outside world. The scenery surrounding the cabin is beautiful with a stream and great redwoods, very relaxing. Yet several great wineries and restaurants are just a short drive away. If your thinking of going to Santa Rosa and having a great local rustic experience you should stay in the Waldbaums Wildridge Cabin cabin!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

My sister and I very much enjoyed our stay at this cabin tucked away in a perfect halfway point between Sonoma and Napa counties. We explored both areas in the day time and were happy to be back at the cabin in the evenings to catch up on some much needed quiet time without distractions. The cabin was immaculate and it was evident the owners take much pride in making sure visitors have a wonderful experience. I hope to return with my husband sometime.Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.

My wife and I came there for a silent meditation retreat and had an entirely successful and enjoyable time. Very private and quiet. An education in the local wildflowers as they are labeled and on display throughout the house. Lovely paths on the grounds up to the ridge and along the stream. It's got it all and did I mention it's quiet? The owners are amiable and accommodating. Thanks for everything!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children.

We rented the cabin to escape from the buzz and the constant noise in the city. It was wonderfully quiet, the cabin was comfortable and spotless, the kitchen very nicely equipped and great to cook in. The dog particularly like the welcome treats! The grounds are very pretty and well kept, with plenty of wildlife. It was secluded but not out of the world, a perfect getaway place!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

I was fortunate to be able to rent this cabin for myself and my dog for a very cold weekend in December. We were in town for an agility match which was outdoors all day. This lovely cabin provided us a warm and safe place to nestle in from the cold. The wood burning stove is awesome, as was the huge inviting bathtub. It was quiet and comfortable and just what we needed. I will definitely return and recommend this cabin to anyone visiting the area.Recommended for: Pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Wildridge cabin. We played Trivial Pursuit, cooked, and did a lot of lounging on the porch. The cabin is immaculate and features some nice antiques (including a hoosier in the kitchen!). The lay-out of the cabin was fine for four friends or a family, but be advised that to get to the bathroom from the living room, one has to go through one of the bedrooms. Both bedrooms did have doors to the bathroom. It all worked out just fine for us. This cabin is very convenient in terms of its proximity to St. Helena, Calistoga, Napa, but it is far enough away that you really feel away from it all. We were glad we picked up grub on our way up so that we could sit, stay, and play! The owners were there to welcome us (in fact, their house is within sight of the cabin), but they gave us plenty of space. We can't wait to return!Did you find this review helpful? My husband and I stayed at Wildridge Cabin on a last-minute holiday weekend vacation. From the moment we arrived and I found little jars of wildflowers tucked into every corner inside the cabin, I knew our choice was perfect. All of the basics are there - comfy bed, cozy living room, ample kitchen, everything spotlessly clean - but the little extra touches let you know that Ray and Laura really care about making their guests feel at home. The oak trees and rolling hills surrounding the cabin are the perfect setting for a relaxing vacation. We spent our mornings on the porch (remarkably comfortable patio chairs) listening to and watching the birds, and the evenings on the porch listening to the crickets and the toads (screened porch = no mosquito bites). For the afternoons - the cabin was a short and scenic drive from the Sonoma wineries. Wildridge will definitely be our first choice for trips to wine country in the future!Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing, people with disabilities.

I loved this place! I wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and spend a weekend wine tasting with some friends. The cabin was super cute with a rustic charm. The cabin is about 10miles off the highway tucked away up in the hills with a gorgeous drive through the wine country. The owners went out of their way to make the cabin feel like “home”. Before we arrived I emailed the owners and mentioned that it was going to be my birthday and was asking questions about limo/van services. When we drove up to the cabin the owners put out a personalized birthday/welcome sign. The layout of the cabin is nice and equipped with everything you would need to have a nice getaway(hot showers, fully equipped kitchen, clean towels, fireplace, etc). It’s a standalone cabin so you don’t have to worry about hearing others. The place was kept super clean and neat. After wine tasting we headed back to the cabin and sat out on the porch for a nice dinner. A few friends went for a hike before heading in and sitting by the fire. It was a great place to spend time catching up with some friends and celebrating my birthday.Recommended for: Age 55+.

My wife and I stayed over Memorial Day weekend with our 70 lb dog and had a great time. Ray and Laura greeted us upon our arrival and then retreated for our privacy. It was unseasonably cold but they had the fireplace stocked and ready to go, for some warm and cozy time after a long drive. Our second day there brought the kind of warm, sunny, beautiful weather we expected and the cabin was equally comfortable for that as well. The property is very secluded and scenic for a short hike around, including a nearby stream for the water-inclined. We saw two rabbits, three chameleons, and plenty of birds. We drove to Sonoma Sunday morning and came back in the evening from Napa/St. Helena with minimal traffic--something we had been concerned about. We enjoyed the rotating library (give a book, take a book). There was no TV, which was great, and we listened to the radio. The cabin was fully stocked with pots and pans, stove, etc for easy cooking. With an extra bedroom, it was a little larger than we needed for the 2.5 of us, but still worth the price of admission!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.
