This is a 2 bedroom stone cottage, small, easy to maintain. The view of the valley west is wonderful and great sunsets over the valley out to sea. There is private parking. There is a 4 X 6 metre living and kitchen with 2 steps up to the bedrooms and bathroom. Good cupboard space in each bedroom, laundry facilities and full bathroom. Comfortable outdoor dining under the tree and a small pool to cool off, with a great view.
There are great walks in the valley and a deserted village below which is worth exploring. The sun sets over the sea in the summer months with the Greek islands in the distance and the most wonderful starry skies.
Up a 1 km dirt track it feels secluded but is only 5 minutes from the supermarket, 10 minutes to the sea and a big selection of fish restaurants and 20 minutes into Bodrum and all the shopping and nightlife that Bodrum has to offer.

Year Purchased: 2005
About the owner: When I came to Turkey for a holiday in 1986 I had no idea I would stay this long. I love it. One year became another and another and I am still here. I love the food, the people, the climate. I designed and built my home. In Turkey I have always enjoyed the mix of modern and ancient. And so in my home I have used the traditional with modern convenience.
Why the Owner Chose Yalikavak:
I found this area outside Bodrum with a friend and years later don't want to be anywhere else. The hills, the green, that sunset, the market, the view of the Greek islands. The best part in summer is the cool breeze coming up the valley. While the other side of the peninsula is stifling we enjoy that breeze.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage:
It took me a while to find just what I wanted in this property. It is 1 km off the main road but feels so private and secluded because the whole valley feels like ours. It is only 5 minutes to the supermarket, the village, the hairdresser, butcher, market, restaurants and 20 minutes to Bodrum. So I feel like I have it all. When I want nightlife, some music, concerts, cinema it is all close by but I can get away from it all in just a few minutes. This property is the 2 bedroom cottage, small, contained, easy and great view.
