  This was our first trip to Kiawah, our first of many! The apartment was beautiful, well maintained, and very clean! My wife and sister-in-law are very critical people and are never satisfied with anything, but even they were happy with this place! Kiawah is a beautiful island and just a nice place to get away! We live in Hilton Head, visit Asheville many times a year, and just returned from Key West. I would reccommend Kiawah over any of these places. The apartment has everyhting you need to enjoy your stay, only steps from the beach and a great place for families or couples to just relax and get away from the hustle and bustle.

  Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

  Hi Denise, we just wanted to write and say how wonderful our stay was at your villa. It was perfect for our first time down and we'll definitely be coming back! Kiawah Island is so fantastic, this has been one of our best vacations ever, albeit shorter than normal. Thank you again for working with us on such short notice, you have been wonderful through the entire process! The new pools were just about finished and we'll be back to enjoy them soon!

  We can't thank you enough for all your help with our family vacation. You went above and beyond what was expected, helping us make reservations for golf, telling us about restaurants in the area, describing activities that would be available. Your guidance helped us fully enjoy a visit to a new place without missing out on any wonderful opportunities -- we loved lunch at the Ocean Course -- you were right -- it was unbelieveably gorgeous. Your villa is beautiful, Kiawah Island is magnificent, and you were a delight. Your professionalism and warm demeanor made our vacation planning a pleasure. Thank you for all that you did to help.   I can't express strongly enough how much we enjoyed your gorgeous villa. We were looking forward to enjoying a lovely, relaxing week at the beach and your villa exceeded all our dreams. From the moment we opened the front door and saw the lovely details till the moment we left with wonderful memories of our family visit, we totally, totally enjoyed every minute. Your villa is beautiful and the location can't be beat. We loved walking out the door and on to the beach -- it was so convenient. Everything inside the villa was top rate and everything outside on the island was beautiful. We will definitely be back and you will be the first person we call! We're also telling all our friends -- Kiawah Island, and your lovely villa, are real gems!

  This was our second visit to Kiawah Island and our second stay in this beautiful condo. Much to my surprise, I think everything was better this time than it was on our first trip! The condo had some nice additions, including a big flat-screen TV in the master bedroom, and I can't say enough how nice and well maintained this condo is. Its location couldn't be better with just a short walk across the boardwalk to the beach and a short bike ride to the chilled pool. If you're looking for a nice, quiet place to relax and forget all your worries, look no further.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, people with disabilities, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

  We are finally getting settled in after returning from our vacation at Kiawah. Quite simply, the vacation was fantastic. It was easy to get to Kiawah, there was no meaningful traffic, registration went quick, the grounds and landscaping were Olmsteadesque, and 2277 Shipwatch exceeded our wildest expectations. Your condo is great. Beautifully appointed, modern conveniences, quick beach access, etc. We loved it. Kiawah also had nightly programs that our children loved, e.g. carnival and magician. Without embellishing, it was probably one of the best vacations I've ever had.

  This was such a special vacation for us and we could not have done it without all your kind and thoughtful help. Everything you told us about your beautiful home was true -- and more! We loved your delightful villa and the convenience to the beach was tremendous. Our teenage daughter (and my husband!) loved the convenience of having wireless internet right in our villa. Both emailed friends and business colleagues every day -- and we used the internet to make some dinner reservations at the fabulous restaurants in the area. Your home is so clean and comfortable -- the kitchen and bathrooms are magnificent. We will tell our friends and hope that we can be back again next year to enjoy the beauty of Kiawah Island. Thank you so very much for a truly great time.

• Location, Location, Location!

  While the villa itself is charming, the star of our Kiawah adventure was the Beach! It is litterally only a few steps from the foyer of the building on to the Boardwalk over the dunes, and a two minute walk on the Boardwalk (if you dawdle a bit to look at the wildlife) until you hit the Beach itself. We saw daily sunrises and sunsets, and moonrises and moonsets....plus some happy hours in the noonday sun. Wonderful. The villa offers all you could ask for to make it a carefree vacation...comfortable beds and furniture, an exceptionally well equipped kitchen, large baths, handsome decor, and for a delightful finishing touch, 3 large Audubon prints in extraordinary frames. The oh, so welcoming leather sofa is another great touch. It's all tastefully well done, clean and inviting. And did I mention the Beach! This villa is somewhat removed from the more trafficked and congested areas of Kiawah and the new Sanctuary hotel, to the absolute benefit of the vacationer. The beach was uncrowded even in midday, and gorgeously empty in the moonlight. At dawn - a particular favorite of ours, there are probably more dogs splashing about than people walking and shell hunting. If you are lucky you wil see baby turtles crawling to the sea, (or nests of recently laid eggs, deer up close and personal, and even bobcats. Yes, we intend to return!

  It was very lovely! The condo is beautiful and very comfortable. We had such a great time and were so very busy. My brother & sister in law had every detail imaginable planned to perfection for their wedding. We were Blessed with beautiful weather just 1 hour before the wedding and throughout the remainder of the weekend! My parents were very happy with the accommodations and it was so easy for them to come and go. They are in their 80's and it was very important for them to have accessibility. When we first arrived there was a deer in the parking lot of the Shipwatch villas waiting for us to get there. He walked across at a very leisurely pace and was not at all disturbed by us. We saw plenty of wildlife and a couple of gators on the golf course. I must say that I enjoyed strolling on the beach as much as anything! Thank you again and I will definately check out the availability at Martha's Vineyard and will recommend your "HOMEAWAY" to my friends!

  Less than an hour away from Summerville, we felt like we were a million miles away. This is a lovely place, wonderful atmosphere and well maintained. The grounds are beautiful and walk to the beach - a piece of cake! The night heron pool was heated and drinks by the pool... fantastic. Everyone on Kiawah was incredibly nice (not easy to find these days). A quick drive to Freshfields will find anything you need. Heges restaurant FANTASTIC! The Santuary is a real treat to see and dinner by their pool was charming.
