We enjoyed our stay in this apartment. It is close to shops and restaurants. I really appreciated how easy it was to reserve (via email) and pay (via paypal) for this apartment, and how easy it was to find and get into when we arrived in Paris from the USA. After our departure, the deposit was returned within 1 week, again via paypal. The apartment has everything you need (appliances, cookware, &c) to prepare meals, and a good entertainment system. It also has 2 wifi connections, a landline and lots of outlets for plugging in laptops and chargers. It also has trash and recycling facilities onsite. The team was easy to reach via email - before, during and after the trip - and was also helpful when we had questions about the apartment, the neighborhood, how to get to the apartment from the airport. I would definitely consider renting this or another property from him if I'm lucky enough to take another extended Paris vacation someday...

We stayed here for ten days in November, and decided the best thing about the apartment is the location. The Isle Saint Louis was an area we'd not lived or stayed in before, and we were surprised how much of wonderful Paris is within walking or Metro distance. The Isle itself has excellent shops and restaurants, so you don't need to go to the mainland to enjoy the visit. The apartment was exactly as described, although it seemed smaller and ceiling higher than we expected. The furnishings were a bit tired - listing lamp et al. The manager, Myriam, was extremely helpful in helping us to settle in and returned phone calls promptly. The bed was very comfortable and as others have noted, the bedroom was on the courtyard side of the apartment so it was quiet. The bells of the church in front pealed merrily several times a day, and on Sunday night we overheard a concert. Now that is living in Paris! The apartment has numerous books available for restaurant/sightseeing research or just novels. Everything in the galley kitchen worked well. (The washer doesn't have a dryer, so you need the rack on the mezzanine to dry things.) The towels were a bit worn. The reservation, payment, and refund system was very efficient. The only thing to be aware of is that the mid- and full-season rates aren't posted, only those for the low-season. It was a nice home base for exploring Paris, for checking out restaurants, and for discovering which croissants to get for breakfast. We had friends for drinks one evening by fireplace and candlelight. Could you do that in a hotel?

Perfect location for a vacation or business, and exactly as described. I was met on-site at arrival and received a helpful orientation to the property and the neighborhood. The apartment was very clean and all appliances worked flawlessly (including the wireless internet). Everything needed for eating in or out was close by. Several restaurants, a beautiful bakery, a wine and cheese shop, ATM, markets and a variety of other shops were all within one or two blocks. A Metro stop was a few minutes away. While the apartment was located on a street bustling with people during the day, it quieted at night. The bedroom was located facing onto the courtyard, making for peaceful and restful nights. Very important! And a lovely, lovely choir of church bells each day at 6 PM. I would rent this apartment again and again, and recommend it to anyone visiting Paris.

For our needs this was the perfect rental. We are an active senior couple who have had enough of pricey hotels and no wish to drive or be driven around Paris. For sight-seeing the location is ideal, the apartment is clean and well-furnished, the price is a bargain and the owner's descripton was accurate. We were suprised to find the apartment so quiet and the neighborhood so appealing considering the number of visitors it receives. Bakeries and cheese shops are a few steps away, as is the best ice cream in France! We have recommended the property to family and friends.

My husband and I enjoyed a week in this apartment. It was close to just about everything and convenient to dining options as well as shopping for food for the apartment. Myriam was very helpful and even helped us by phone a couple times regarding transportation. They have wi-fi which was helpful. The room was very quiet and easy to sleep in (oops!). There weren't too many tourists traipsing up and down the street making you feel you weren't in the city. Loved being able to do laundry before we left. Having a local phone was also helpful on a couple of occasions. Bed was comfortable enough for two. The apartment is close to restaurants, but you can easily walk to cheaper ones on either side of the Seine. We loved being able to say good night to the river each night and good morning to Notre Dame. If you can, bring ice cream back form Berthillions and have it ready for a late night snack. The small room/loft would be good if you had a child. The whole building seems safe and quiet.

My husband, daughter, and I spent a week in this apartment. Myriam did a great job showing us the place and made it very clear that we were to call her if we had any problems. The apartment was maybe a little smaller than what I expected, but it was very comfortable. Our week in Paris was cold and rainy most days, so we greatly appreciated the more-than-adequate heating system and the deep bathtub with plenty of hot water. As mentioned in another review, if you are over 6 feet tall, this is probably not the spot for you. We had no issues with ceiling height, however. Our 10-year-old daughter loved the mezzanine and really enjoyed having her own private area. We were within close walking distance of food shops, restaurants, and a post office. We especially liked being so close to Notre Dame and being able to see it night or day. My husband ran the marathon and he was able to easily get to the starting line. My daughter and I walked over to Rue St. Antoine to watch the race. Easy, easy, easy! The only difficulty we had was our approach from the airport. We were instructed to take the RER from CDG to the Pont Marie metro stop. The metro was very crowded during morning rush hour, and we had to switch lines at Chatelet Les Halles. This is a MAJOR transfer station, and we walked through many tunnels and up many stairs to get to the correct line. It was tough to do with our luggage and in such a crowd. I would suggest using instead the St. Michel line, which is what we did on our way back to CDG for departure. It was a slightly longer distance above ground from the apartment, but getting to our correct line was much, much simpler in the metro itself. Overall, we had a wonderful time and I so miss being in Paris. Merci, Jean-Noel, for an easy business transaction, and thank you, Myriam, for making us feel welcomed once we arrived. I hope to work with you again on a future visit!

Dear Jean-Noel, Thank you for the prompt refund of the deposit. Per your request, I'm delighted to pass along a review of our stay at the apartment in Ile St. Louis. My wife and I enjoyed staying in the apartment on Ile St. Louis. It's in a prime location within close distance to many top sites in central Paris (including Notre Dame Cathedral, which is only about a 10-minute walk away), and some nice shops and restaurants are very close by. Ile St. Louis is a wonderful neighborhood to explore anytime of day, but especially for evening walks. We found the apartment itself to be comfortable and incredibly charming. The apartment was exactly as described. It is surprisingly quiet, given its central location. The loudest noises came from the church bells across the street at the top of the hour and occasionally from young children playing at the nearby school, but we found those kind of noises to be charming. Myriam was very helpful and thorough in showing us the features of the apartment and giving us the keys on the day we arrived. A minor negative point - we found the bathroom ceiling to be a bit low. (If you're over 6,3 ft tall, you won't be able to stand up straight in the shower/tub.) Not a big deal for us, I am 6,2. Overall, we were pleased and would definitely recommend that other travelers consider staying here, especially those who are looking for a very central location in Paris. Thank you, Steve
