We truly enjoyed our vacation at Duck and this house was PERFECT for us.There are so many things I love about this house. First of all I would like to say that the house is SO CLEAN. I'm very particular about cleaniless especially the floors, furnitures, bathrooms, appliances, etc and this house gets an A plus! The beds are SO COMFORTABLE and I love the high thread count on the sheets. It's wonderful getting in to bed after a tired day at the beach and sightseeing. In addition, Jody provided us use of his bicycles, boogie boards, and beach chairs which we use daily. I also want to mention that Jody's kitchen is FULLY EQUIPPED! We were travelling with 6 teenagers and we had full use of all pots and pans. The view on the dock is spectacular, the kids fished and went crabbing back there. Jody was so nice to allow us to have access to his beachfront property so that we have access to the beach...getting there was not a problem to us and kids biked there daily! There are only two minor things that I can say negative about this house. First, the beautiful furniture is so bulky that it was tight for all of us to get around the living room and dining room. Secondly, the water pressure of the shower in the basement can use a little more "ump"...it was coming out slow and weak. This was not big deal to us and may not be for other people. We love our showers and he would've wanted a stronger pressure. Otherwise, we love love love this house and we truly enjoyed our week stay at Duck, NC. Jody is a sweetheart to work with and very accommodating. We can tell that he has put alot of love and care to this property. We will definitely come back again! We were thrilled when we arrived at our destination - this home is gorgeous, spacious and has a great layout. The photo's are beautiful, but, believe it or not - it looks even better in person! Whenever we rent a home, my goal is always to leave it in better condition than when we found it, but, that was not even possible. It was the cleanest house we've ever rented. Jody was extremely helpful - he answered any questions I had (and I had many) - he supplied towels, sheets and beach towels. The kitchen was well stocked with top notch appliances and more dishes than you could ever use. We enjoyed grilling on the lower patio where the hot tub is located. He even allowed us to use his bicycles and beach chairs! We were able to keep our Jet Ski in the garage and it was a very short distance to the dock. The sunsets were breathtaking from the balcony. We enjoyed the parade in Duck on the 4th of July. There are lots of fun little shops, grocery stores, restaurants and, of course, the beach close by. You only need to go steps from the house to enjoy the indoor pool. We went miniature golfing and raced go-carts. Kitty Hawk is just minutes away. Everything was perfect. I highly recommend this house to anyone who will be traveling to Duck. You will NOT be dissappointed! One more thing - our security deposit was returned within days of returning home. As mentioned earlier, it was great dealing with Jody!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.
