San Francisco (San Pancho) villa description
Villa Violeta - Our private boutique villa sits atop a granite recess with stunning views of the northwestern coastline on the Pacific Ocean. It is nestled amongst twenty-five private acres of soaring palms and boasts over 350 feet of beachfront on just under 1 acre of land. We offer quality services with a good cook who provides food and beverage shopping, prepares and serves 2 meals a day with daily housekeeping and spa services. By car or taxi, only 45 minutes from the airport in Puerto Vallarta and 15 minutes from the popular town of Sayulita.
It is the perfect destination for those who seek seclusion, privacy, tranquility, and luxury, and yet is located just 40 minutes north of Puerto Vallarta with its international airport, world-class dining, great shopping and nightlife. It is 2 miles from the quaint, unspoiled village of San Francisco, 15 minutes from the bustling fishing and surfing village of Sayulita, and a short drive to the Four Seasons Resort at Punta de Mita.
The palapa roof soars to over 60 feet creating a dramatic backdrop for this unique home. There is a whisper of Indonesian style in the decor and dramatic touches of India in the architectural details. The 40 foot living room is open wide to take advantage of the soft Pacific breezes and coastline views, while milky, marble floors cool your bare feet. Ancient carved Indian arches frame the king Master suite with its comfortable seating area, air-conditioning, satellite TV, VCR. Twin vanities, and a stunning outdoor shower that complete the Master suite. The large, charming kitchen is fully-equipped with a microwave, toaster oven, coffeemaker, you name it...but best of all, a wonderful local cook to tend to all your needs! Just steps away is an outdoor terrace overlooking the pool, beach, and gorgeous Pacific coastline.
Follow the stone steps around the house to the private, spacious, second-floor king Palapa Suite with a shower. This room also includes an annex with a queen futon bed and open closet. The open-air palapa stretches up another 30 feet for a dramatic effect. The beds are draped in flowing white nets and have fans for a cool breeze all to give this room its own exotic/tropical personality. It's the perfect romantic hideaway. There is a comfortable garden/spa lounge, (perfect for kids/teens or adventurous adults to sleep) overlooking the manicured gardens and pool. The perfect spot for a massage, afternoon siestas, reading your favorite book or just whiling away the hours in paradise. Must use powder room at main entrance. No full bath.
You can relax all day on the sands of your secluded beach, pass the hours beside the sparkling, sapphire pool, or take a gentle ride in a hammock while overhead the palm trees dance to the ocean breezes. Rustic, private steps will carry you down to the sands below, while your chariot awaits to take you back up --- this villa has its own railway-style tram! If Villa Violeta sounds like your idea of paradise, then we invite you to reserve your place in the sun. Perhaps before you know it, you´ll be tucking your toes in the warm sands of this storybook cove, sipping margarita's by the fading light of the sun, and all the while the rustling fronds of the coco palms whisper...'Paradise found!' I loved the food at Villa Violeta. I loved everything, but I'm a foodie and the staff cook provided excellent cuisine for breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner. Fresh fish, caught that morning transformed into ceviche, plus buttery fillets for the evening meal--the most savory traditional Mexican recipes, easy gringo eggs and bacon, everything I could have asked for and more. Plus tasty and perfectly potent cocktails with top shelf liquor served in noteworthy authentic ways. Dining at the outdoor deck was beautiful and the service was excellent. The kitchen staff was professional and courteous and helpful and friendly. They even created a special celebratory evening of cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and fireworks at the beach one evening topped by kick-ass mariachis! Gracias A Dios! What a fiesta! My beds were extremely comfortable. I stayed in the large casita on teh main floor and also in the adorable and cozy El Nidio. Soft, plush, elegant, rich bedding plus a mattress that made me sleep like a queen. I reveled in the cocoon-like tent netting around the bed in the casita. As well, the enclosed nature of El Nido comforted a deep sleep. The beach was a treat to share with the hot French neighbors on Sunday and then they were gone Monday-Friday and that was nice, too. Our party made use of the hammocks, the shade structure, the lounge chairs, the sand the surf and the sun. Its an easy jaunt to the local artisanal market on Sunday. Jessica, the helpful and gracious concierge, took us there and helped us navigate anything we inquired about. We surfed one day in Saulita and the waves were prefect for the beginners in our crew and also for the intermediates. Boards were easy to rent and at a very fair price. I plan to return in 2012.
