We found George's condo very comfortable, beautiful, clean quiet in an excellent location. It was close to beaches, shopping and restaurants and a few minutes walk to the beautiful Grand Hyatt grounds, Everything was here to enjoy the beaches - and the kitchen was fully equipped. Centrally located to the major sight seeing spots like Waimea Canyon and Wailua Falls. Good snorkelling beside the Beachhouse Restaurant. Polynesian dancing at the Poipu Shopping Village. George was a pleasure to deal with and we would highly recommend his condo to anyone hoping to have a great vacation in Kauai.

Thank you George for another wonderful stay at your condo. It was our second and it was just as relaxing and fun as the first. The condo has everything you need for a wonderful hawaiian beach vacation. All of your gear is provided, right down to the towels, snorkel equipment, chairs, and ice chests. The beach is a 5-7 minute walk through the grounds of Poipu Kai, which are beautiful. The kitchen is fully stocked with cooking utensils. The pictures on the sight are true to what you can expect. The condo is a ground floor unit, which made it easy for my father who has bad knees to get too. Check in was a breeze and George is wonderful to work with. Will be booking another stay soon.

My family and I stayed at this wonderful condo. It was right by the pool and close to the BBQ's. It was fully stocked with boogie, coolers, etc. The condo was very large and well kept. We enjoyed our stay so much! George is the best to work with and is a wonderful host! If we needed anything, his response was immediate! The condo is beautiful and has all the ameneties need to go to the beach, park or just hang out by the pool. The neighbors were very friendly! We could have not asked for a better location, we walked to the beach and restaurants. We would love to come back again and again. This was definitely home away from home. We were sorry that we had to go...

After many vacations to Hawaii and staying at many different locations, we have settled on Kauai and this condo. We have stayed here the past few years. The owner is very accommodating and great to work with. The condo is spacious, clean and comfortable. Pool, hot tub and gas grills are a short distance from the front door. The beaches are a short 5 or 6 minute walk on a paved path through beautifully maintained gardens and lawns. Some restaurants are within walking distance. 2 shopping centers are nearby (one within walking distance). 2 major hotels are about a mile in either direction. All of this and it does not seem the least bit crowded. This is a very relaxing location in a very comfortable condo.....an exceptional value. We have already booked for next year.

This is an AMAZING condo!! My husband, 13-month old daughter, mother and I stayed here, and it was perfect for the 4 of us. With the beach just a short 5-minute walk away, the location is hard to beat. Also nearby are shops, restaurants, and Kalapaki Joe's (a restaurant/bar) is a 2-minute walk away. The condo has tons of beach/kid-friendly gear like beach towels, boogie boards, a pack n play for the baby to sleep in (which was FABULOUS...we didn't have to bring our own!), pails/shovels, snorkel gear, you name it! We loved having a full kitchen - we just went to Sueoka's (nearby local grocery store) and stocked up on fruit, veggies, eggs and pantry items, and we were able eat many meals at home (good way to save money and it's healthier than eating out all the time!). There is a washer and dryer conveniently inside the unit, and we used that all the time as well. George was wonderful to work with. Very prompt and helpful in responding to my emails and questions. I am looking forward to staying here again the next time we visit Kauai!

We are huge fans of this beautiful property. My husband and I, my cousin and her husband all truly enjoyed this wonderful tropical setting. The pool and hot tub are steps away from the front door, as are the nice gas bbq grills. The "sunset" beaches are a very short and very lovely walk away; 5 minutes if you wanna, but why hurry past all the gorgeous flora. The condo is clean and roomy with everything you need for a lovely "aloha" vacation. Both of our husbands are excellent cooks and found everything they needed to prepare awesome meals. There is a farmer's market every day of the week somewhere on the island and Poipu is actually quite centrally located for any of the huge selection of island activities. George was a dream to work with as were the contact people on the property. If you're fortunate enough to stay here, know that I'm envious!

Great location. Short walk to two great beaches, lush greenbelt. Close to restaurants, shopping. Having the pool right outside the door was so nice. Wonderful vacation. This is the perfect condo for anyone. I can't imagine anyone not being perfectly content and happy here. We were so happy that we are going back again! It's better then the pictures. We had some minor problems that George handled almost before I could end my sentence. George is a real people person and cares about your vacation experience. He is not in this just for the money. I truly believe tht if George got his money from me but thought that I didn't enjoy myself that he would be very upset. Aston was also there and very kind and helpful even though we weren't renting from them. The condo is very well equiped for a beach vacation. Everything that you could possible need on the beach and then some. We loved having baby bed and feeding chair. That greatly enchanced our trip traveling with two little ones. What more can we say. If George will have us we would love to stay in his beautiful home again and again.

We stayed at Regency Poipu Kai for two blissful, relaxing weeks. The condo is very large and had everything we needed. We used the large kitchen everyday. One night we dined at Keiko's Paradise which is nearby, delicious and had great island atmosphere. I love the way the green belt can take you in two different directions to two fabulous beaches. Everything worked out perfectly and will be returning as soon as we can!

Had a great stay at the condo. Our family of 4 had lots of space to spread out and never felt crowded. The pictures are very true to what you get. Very clean and comfortable. My husband and son enjoyed having the pool just steps from the front door. The hot tub was a life saver after our 8 mile hike to the Alakai swamp trail. We used the BBQ almost every night, cooking fresh Ahi, Marline, and Chicken. The closet filled with chairs, umbella, ice chests, towels, snorkel gear, and boogie boards was a great extra. Poipu beach is about a 5 minute walk. We saw sea turtles there 2 days in a row. Shopping and restaurants are just minutes away. We have stayed in Kauai before and this is the best condo so far. We will be staying here again in the future.

The condo is perfect - close to a perfect beach for boogie boarding and morning walks- and close to everything else that matters. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. You can tell it has been newly remodeled with new furniture - very nicely done. Fans in every room to keep the air fresh and circulating. We also enjoyed getting up and going to the pool for a morning swim.

We loved our 3rd visit to Mr. Winquist's beautiful condo! We're ready to book another trip, but have noticed every date we're wanting to come back is booked. Maybe we shouldn't have let anyone know of this wonderful paradise!!! :) And darn that Travel Channel for voting Poipu Beach as the best beach in 2010! :) Our 10 year old twins think this is their "home away from home". Great Condo Great Location

This place was very nice and well kept. George was great to work with and made sure you had all the info you needed. The condo is very open and spacious, plenty of room, I really did love it!! The grounds were gorgeous and the pool area was very well kept. I would definately recommend this property to friends and family, in fact I already have. The goody closet in the master bedroom has so much stuff for you to use, boogie boards, snorkel gear, a large cooler, a medium cooler and a smaller soft cooler, baby high chairs, pak n plays, etc. One thing I would recommend, the bed in the extra bedroom is a little hard, but there is a foam thing in the master closet that was amazing and made the bed much more comfortable to sleep on. So about the location, there is a beach within a 5 minute walk and it is amazing, great snorkeling!! You walk in waist deep and there are crazy fish to see, and sea turtles and monk seals were on the beach each day. Along that beach there is a quick little deli, where you can get drinks and food for pretty cheap. With a very nice restaurant above it. Then there is Kalapaki Joes within a 2 minute walk from the condo. Great food and drinks, and a fun atmosphere, we went there 3 times, since it was so close. There is a general store just a couple minutes away and grocery stores about 5 minutes away. It took us about 25-30 minutes to get from Poipu to Lihue (which is where you fly into). And I would recommend going to Hanalei Bay and Ke'e beach one day. It takes about an hour and a half, so make a day of it, but well worth it!! And I would also recommend doing a Na Pali Coast tour, we went out on a catamarran through Blue Dolphin charters and it was the most amazing thing I had ever seen in my life. I plan on going back again next year and staying at the exact same place. Thanks so much George!!

We stayed in here for 2 weeks in January and had a wonderful stay. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the beach. The condo was very comfortable, clean and peaceful. It had everything we needed. Having the pool and BBQ right outside the door was great. The complex grounds are just gorgeous and it felt as if we were staying in a rainforest! It was our first attempt to rent through VRBO listings, but the condo turned out perfect for our stay. George was so easy to work with through the whole process, and always responded immediately when I had questions. It was great to have all the snorkeling and boarding equipment right there, the accomodations were very comfortable, and the kitchen was a super nice surprise for having impromptu family meals. We would choose this condo in a flash for a return trip to Kauai.

We've rented many condos in various locations, but have never had such an accommodating owner to work with. We stayed here for over 4 weeks. The condo is beautifully furnished and equipped with lots of beach equipment, boogie boards, chairs, coolers, snorkel gear etc. It is conveniently located right next to the pool and outdoor barbeques. George takes care of any problem immediately and satisfactorily, e.g. the coffeemaker quit working while we were there. I highly recommend this property. You will not be sorry.

We stayed at condo end of Nov. Plenty of room for 5 adults .We cooked and kitchen is fully stocked with every thing you'd need.Plenty beach towels and beach stuff. We used hot tub couple of nights. Condo is easy to get to, and not too far from everywhere we went. private too. The helicopter ride is well worth the money. Also catamaran up the coast was fantastic. Price is affordable. WONDERFUL WEEK

We just returned from our fourth trip to Koloa Hawaii (you could say we're addicted!) - and the best condo we ever rented. Although we previously had ocean views we liked George's condo best - it certainly was the nicest, the most economical and provided comfort and privacy for two couples. We loved being in walking distance of several restaurants that don't break the bank! Try KALAPAKI JOE'S on Saturday and Sunday for a delicious $3.99 breakfast, but don't miss Joe's on the Green as well. And, it's a short walk to Brenneke's Broiler where you can sit by an open window with an ocean view for Happy Hour and yummy appetizers. Every morning my husband and I walked the beautiful path to the Hyatt and sat in a swing overlooking the sea watching the gorgeous sunrise. The pool is inviting and we had it all to ourselves most of the time as well. George is a gracious host. Thanks for your hospitality.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the condo. It truly felt like a home away from home. The pool and hot tub is only steps away. What a wonderful way to spend the evening after a long day of touring the island. The property is very comfortable. The grounds are well maintained and about a 10-15 minute walk to the beach. I've never done a private condo rental before and was unsure at first, but after speaking with George, I was reassured. He is very nice, honest, and very easy to work with. We didn't do any cooking but very well could have since the kitchen came equipped. There was a washer and dryer in the unit which was very convienent. There were also plenty of beach/snorkeling gear for guests to use. I had a wonderful time in Kauai and staying at the condo really added to my experience.

Spacious condo just a short walk from the beach...

We loved our stay. The condo was spacious and the beach was only a 7 or 8 minute walk away. The condo was also well stocked with snorkeling gear, body boards, and beach toys for the kids. The pool and whirlpool were just a few steps from the door. The internet access was fine. We didn't make use of the tennis courts, but we walked past them on the way to the beach and they looked very nice. The condo was very clean and well maintained. All in all the condo was even better than the desciption in the listing. We spent a good part of our week on Kauai on the south side of the island at Poipu Beach. The surf was up so we had a blast body boarding at Brennacke's Beach (immediately adjacent to Poipu Beach on the left side as you face the ocean). We also snorkeled on Poipu Beach and saw a monk seal resting on the beach. We ate more than once at Kalapaki Joe's which is located right next to the tennis courts. They offered some great happy hour specials and we took advantage. The food was a good value and the view was excellent. All of this was within a 7 or 8 minute walk of the condo. The only thing missing is being directly on the beach with an ocean view, however, for the price we really thought this was a great deal. We felt the condo was a great value and we'd definitely recommend it to a friend or relative. We would stay there again ourselves if the opportunity ever presents itself.

We took our family of 6 and spent the week. The place was very clean well kept and maintained.Each room has a ceiling fan. The condo was very centrally located. Park was very easy in the front of the condo. It was very convenient not to have to bring beach towels, they were already provided, including snorkeling gear, boogie boards.We have already referred several of our friends already.

The condo was in very good condition and the furniture,bedding dishes pots and pans and appliances are very nice. There was also a washer and dryer that was wonderful. Fantastic Summer Getaway

This condominium can't be beat for the price, especially near Poipu Beach. This place was large in size and had a lot of small extras that you can't find at a hotel. We really enjoyed being near the pool and barbecue area. There is no view of the beach, but you can get there on foot within 5-7 minutes and by car in 2 minutes. If you like to run, this is a great place to be and you can also run the grounds of the Hyatt. There were five in our group and we had plenty of space. There is no A/C, but there are ceiling fans that keep it breezy. We were there at the beginning of June 2010. If I go back to Poipu Beach, I would definetly stay here again. George was a great person to work with and he was very accomodating.

I found this place last minute and made a request. The owner contacted me immediatly to let me know it was available. He handled the details sending me confirmation and check-in instructions. I called to confirm a week prior and to arrange for a late check-in. The woman was very pleasant and assured me that security would have a key and a welcome packet. We arrived in Poipu after dark and followed the directions from the owner. Before locating the unit we ran into security and he instructed us to follow him. He verified my identity and escorted us to the unit, showed us where to park and ensured that we were safely in the unit. Upon entering the condo we were excited to see the spacious and elegantly decorated interior. The bedrooms were consistant with the theme and the king size bed with what seemed to be a temperpedic mattress was quite welcoming after a long day of travel. The condo was equipped with snorkels, boogie boards, beach toys, and a crib. The kitchen had everything you would need to make gourmet meals, and had a dishwasher and refrigerator with an ice maker. The unit was poolside and I took my morning coffee on the patio looking out on a luscious well kept garden listening to the birds and the coconut trees rustle in the light breeze. We would walk a short distance through the grounds to beautiful beaches or shops and restaurants. I would recommend this place to anyone and it will be my first choice everytime I go back.

This condo is nicer than the pictures can relay. It was perfect for two couples becausse each bedroom had either a king or queen bed, not twin beds as in most other condos. The kitchen and living room area is very large and four adults never felt crowded. Just about everything you needed for the beach is there and you are just a hop from the pool. It is quiet and very clean. George is very helpful and the price is so very reasionable. I already have told many friends about this place and I would not hesitate to stay here again. You can't loose renting this home away from home.

We loved this condo! We felt it was perfect in every way, quiet, close to everything, spacious, had everything we needed for a wonderful vacation. Perfect quiet Condo

If you are looking for a spacious, quiet, comfortable, close to the beach condo, this is it! We just got back last night and already miss it. Kauai was unbelievable, we left early in the morning right after making a nice breakfast in the fully equipped kitchen and usually didn't return until supper time. Pool was great, nice and refreshing. BBQ were cleaned daily, maintenace staff were there every day quietly doing what needed to be done. The tourists in the condos around us as well as the people who live there year round were respectful and lovely to chat with. The fans throughout the condo were perfect, kept the space cool during the night and the large windows throughout the place kept the condo cool during the day. We won't even look for another place when we go back, we will only call George! Thank you!

Amazing stay

We stayed in this unit April of 2010. It was nicer than the pictures show. The pool is literally outside the lanai. The pull out sofa is a queen which was nice for the kids. There were 6 of us staying there (4 adults) and we never felt like it was too tiny. The walk to the beach could be as short as 3 minutes or you could make it longer if you are looking for nice walks or runs. The grounds are amazing - so much beautiful landscaping, foliage, and beauty. It was a pleasure getting to stay somewhere as nice. The condo was well priced for how much we spent on it. I would come again and recommend to any of my friends (which I already have). George was a pleasure to deal with and when we had issues with the water heater (not turning on) the front desk at the condo place handled it well. Poipu is the place to stay - we had the nicest weather on all of Kauai.

We would give this property an "Ono" (excellent value). The condo is roomy, handsomely decorated and very clean and comfortable. Kathy loved the big well equipped kitchen. It is only about a 7 minute walk thru beautifully landscaped lawns and gardens to Poipu Beach. We had the privilege of meeting George and his wife Jerry who were here making sure everything was up to their standards. They are very nice people and very customer oriented. We hope this property is available the next time we return to Kauai.

Our family has been to Kauai 3 times. This by far was the best trip ever & we owe a debt of gratitude to George Winquist for his amazing condo. 1st- the condo is absolutely beautiful & brand new. 2nd- it's so close to the pool/jacuzzi. (our 9 yr old twins went to bed around 9pm & we were still able to enjoy the jacuzzi as we were only 100 feet from it as they slept on the sofa-sleeper) 3rd-it was so close to the beach & even better yet was the beautiful walking trail that takes you to Shipwreck Beach, Brenneke Beach (the awesome boogie board beach), and Poipu Beach (the best snorkeling ever). 4th- it had everything in the condo you could possibly want including 5 boogie boards, a large & small cooler, at least 20 beach towels, 4-5 sets of new snorkel gear (don't bring any as we did & wished we didn't) & more!!! 5th-Mr. Winquist was so kind to work with and very trustworthy. We rented George's condo in Kauai for 3 nights at the end of October. We wish we could have stayed longer. It had more than enough room for 4 adults. It was very clean, & had all sorts of things to make our stay more enjoyable. It had a cooler, beach towels & all sorts of beach toys & chairs, as well as booster seats etc. for young children to use at the condo. The grounds were well kept, & being right in front of the pool area was extremely convenient. Poipu Kai Resorts in the south of Kauai is convenient to do what you want on the island. The beach was beautiful, & the shopping plaza with shops & restaurants, down the street. We truly enjoyed our stay at the condo & on the island of Kauai.

My son and his wife and 2 1/2 year old as well as my wife and I really injoyed our stay in George's condo- it fit our needs exactly- had a crib- excellent accomadations- pool and hot tub right out the door, tennis courts nearby as well as a great beach. I heartly recommend anyone wanting very good accomadtions on Kauai to consider this condo.

We had a wonderful stay on Kauai. We loved the proximity to Brennecke's beach. We used the available boogie boards and took them to the beach almost daily. Of course the kids loved having the pool just outside the front door as well. The condo is well furnished and very comfortable. We took advantage of the beach towels, snorkel gear, mats and other beach supplies. It was very nice having them available. George was great to work with. We'd definitely stay here again. This was our first trip to anywhere in Hawaii, Kauai impressed us to know end. This was also our first time booking a private place online........George was great & made it simple & hassle free. The condo is great, very spacious, clean and very convenient to the pool & BBQ. All the furnishings are sturdy quality & beautiful. I would recommend anyone to stay here, we are a family of four, we had plenty of room....great layout. We hope to be back soon! PS for families like us with little ones....the playpen is in great condition...but bring a playpen sheet with ya!

Our stay at George's Kauai condo was fabulous! It is very clean and neatly decorated. The master closet is stocked with several items from snorkels and beach equipment to a baby's high chair. The location is perfect. Bottom floor access in a beautiful garden setting. The pool and BBQ's are conviently located right outside the front door. Most days we had it to ourselves. Thank you George for making our family vacation a success! We look forward to returning ASAP. Mahalo!

We had agreat time in Kauai. George's condo was great. Plenty of room for five of us. The pool is right next door which was very handy, easy to catch a little swim before dinner. The location seemed to work out for day trips to both sides of the island. George is easy to deal with and very helpful in making things work. It is a good place to hang while in Kauai. Aloha Gabe

We stayed here May 2, 2009 through May 10, 2009. This condo is excellently maintained and equipped. The first floor location was a big plus during arrival, departure and grocery trips. We were glad to find all the snorkel and beach equipment in the closets. The resort area is great and this unit is located adjacent to the BBQ and pool to make things convenient. At first we were a little concerned thinking that people would be loud at the pool in the evenings but it was not a problem at all. The unit is modern, clean and well furnished. Just remember that most of the units here are not air conditioned and occasionally, if the breeze dies down, it can be a little warm. All the rooms have ceiling fans though to keep the air moving. We enjoyed ourselves very much and if we ever make it back to Kauai would love to have the opportunity to stay here again. George is great to work with and I can highly recommend both him and this condo.

We had a great time at the condo. I only wish my own home was so immaculate. It was spacious, had all the amenities that made easy (dish soap, bath soap, etc.). When I was looking for somewhere I found some other places, but many of them are plagued by roosters that wake you up all hours of the night, there were NO roosters here (or bugs either). Though bring some mosquito spray as they are out at night all over the island so we did get bit. The beach is conveniently located, pool steps outside the door, tropical setting that is well kept. George was easy to work with. Lots of extras (beach chairs, boogie boards,towels). Enjoy this great vacation!

We had a wonderful stay in this condo! The location was ideal because it was halfway between the east side and the west side. The condo was very clean and nicely decorated. The landscaping was meticulously maintained and gorgeous. It was so nice to have the pool, jacuzzi, and bar-b-que grill so close to the condo. We used three of the snorkels and fins and they worked great. There were also towels, beach chairs, beach mats, boogie boards and a cooler to use. And best of all George was great to work with. If we have the chance to return to Kauai we will stay here again. This place definitely gets an Ono!

This was our first trip to a Hawaiian destination, Kauai is the best island! George's condo only enhanced the beauty of our trip. The Poipu location, is one of the best beaches on the island. Our condo was just minutes from the beach, snorkeling (that was just phenomenal), and golfing! The condo was beautiful! We found it stocked with some extras that were a plus; beach towels, boogie boards, snorkel equipment and beach chairs. It was so nice to be able to go to the beach and not have to take a white hotel towel. Also a plus, the pool just right outside the condo's door. If you're looking for the trip of a lifetime, Kauai is hands down it. Thanks George!

The condo was great and there was plenty of room for the 6 of us. The toys and kid things (booster and crib) were especially handy. There are tons of dvds but no kid ones which was surprising, but not a problem. The other equiment like snorkle gear and boogie boards was great to have. Some of it is missing parts, like broken staps on some of the fins or missing leashes on the boogie boards, but there is so much of it that you can find something that will work. George was really easy to work with and it is an extra bonus that he provides us with all the fun gear to use so I hope guests will continue to take care of it.

This was our first trip to Kauai and we had a great time staying at he regency #211 condo. It is a beautiful place. Everything is close by and it has all the amenities you need for a fun time. We enjoyed the pool and BBQ just 10 steps from our door. The short walk to the beach for beautiful sunsets was great. Thanks George for making our stay great and being so easy to work with. Our first trip to Kauai. We have bounced around the other Islands but,nothing felt better than being Kauai. The condo is in a great location it was perfect for us very clean and roomy. Everything was as George described. Nice pathway walk to the beach, couple steps to the pool and BBQ. Felt right at home the moment we walked in. We are all ready planning next years stay.
