  We stayed at the property over a long weekend in May 2012. The place is absolutely gorgeous. The house has a fabulous double height main living room with beautiful wood tones, lots of glass sliding doors onto a wraparound deck and a unique coral fireplace. We were met by the owner (who incidentally looks like a movie star!). He was extremely helpful and showed us through the whole house including giving us a history of the house and area. The master bedroom is beautifully designed and yet very comfortable. Bathrooms are gorgeous - master bath has travertine marble on walls and floor, large shower with rainforest showerhead and whirlpool bath. There are three good-sized bedrooms on the main floor along with second bathroom, also marble, and another large bedroom with ensuite bathroom on the second floor. There were seven of us for a family get together and the house and grounds are so spacious that we had plenty of room. The outside gardens and pool area are very lush and tropical. There is a gas barbeque near the pool area and a good-sized outdoor table with umbrella. We grilled out and ate meals outside most of the time, but there's also a beautiful wood-paneled large dining room inside the house. The pool is heated all the time and was very enjoyable. I would whole-heartedly recommend this house - the location is great - walking distance to the parks and marinas along Bayshore Drive. Fresh Market is a short drive away and is excellent. The house is also very close to the center of Coconut Grove but at the same time, very quiet and private. This house has a unique layout which allows for a lot of space within a group setting. All in all, a great experience! Thank you to the owners for sharing such a cool place!

  The listing is described accurately. The house is in a great spot in Coconut Grove, especially if you are sailors. It's very close to the Sailing Center and within walking distance to the Fresh Market. To be honest though, we were all disappointed in the condition of the house. This house is a bit run down, and not clean. The carpets and furniture are stained and feel filthy dirty. The beds and pillows were comfortable, but again some sheets were stained and although clean just made you feel a bit uneasy. As is probably typical in the Florida climate, the house smelled musty and showed visible mold in areas. We never went in the pool, and really there was not enough pool furniture to enjoy the patio area anyway. With all the foliage and trees not much sun reaches the area. We stayed for 10 days and upon arrival found 1 roll of toilet paper in each bathroom (one was a half roll), plenty of burned out lights, no soap, a broken toaster, and dirty dishes. Not what you would expect for the price. If the house were half the price I would recommend it and score my experience higher, but at the current price and condition, I can only rate my overall experience as fair at best.

  I researched a lot of rental properties before deciding on this property and it definitely paid off. Property itself is beautiful, with plenty of space and privacy. Heated salt water pool was perfect, and warm the entire weekend. Palm trees throughout the yard and pool area and wooden 8 ft high fence surrounds property. Inside of the house is spectacular! looked like something out of a magazine. Hardwood floors covering the common areas were pristine and entire house opens up with sliding glass doors to allow breeze through. Everything was prepared for our arrival and sheets and dishes were cleaned and house was spotless. Bathrooms were very modern, all stone and brand new top of the line appliances. I have no complaints about this house or the landlord, who was great to deal with and extremely accommodating! Great house to get away and very close to both University of Miami and center of coconut grove where the bars and restaurants are. I will be renting this house for any future trip to the area, strongly recommend.

  We loved our stay! Your house was the highlight of our trip. The house was pristine and bright. It was the perfect venue for our family reunion and holiday celebration. My family was so shocked with its comfortable set up that we spent the entire day at home by the pool. Normally on vacations, I insist that we explore off campus, but we were so excited and happy to be at your home that we were hard pressed to leave and go out to dinner. We are definitely interested in renting again in late september or Columbus Day!! Thanks.

  My husband and I rented this house for a week in March while he sailed in a regatta. There were three couples and we had plenty of room to spread out. It was a short walk to the yacht club, and a short drive/ walk to the anything we might need. The grounds are lovely, and the yard very private. We throughly enjoyed the beautiful weather relaxing by the pool and time out on Biscayne Bay. The owners were helpful and accommodating. We will recommend this house to others who want to stay in the area.

  Six friends and I got away for a girl's weekend and it was awesome!!!!! We had soooo much fun. The house is gorgeous, spacious, very well maintained and great if you just want to lay low by the pool and bbq. All the common areas are comfortable to relax and hang out. The owners were very accomodating and made great suggestions. I definitely recommend it.
