Situated on a 1.5 acre penisula, this 5-bedroom house has breathtaking views from every window. With glass walls on each end of the house, you will be awestruck by the spectacular sunrise over the Swan Mountains from the east, and the majestic sunset from the west. The architecture of this home enables you to be a participant in nature, not a spectator.

Newly remodeled with reclaimed barn wood and hand-picked stones, you will not want to leave the property. The kitchen is equipped with custom cabinets, stone counter tops and the latest appliances. Everyone will enjoy family meals around the hand-made, 9-foot kitchen table complete with tree knots still intact. Every bedroom is complete with down-filled pillows, cotton blankets from Germany, and flannel duvets. After a restful sleep in the master bedroom, wake to wondrous views of the Swan Mountains and a heated floor in the master bathroom. And, in case of a rain, the family room on the first floor is equipped with a 42' flat-screen TV.

Although the amenities will comfort you, this natural backdrop will create memories and experiences of a life time. As the eagles search for their morning breakfast, take the kayaks out and explore the wonders of this gorgeous alpine lake. Afterwards, set your chairs on the dock and swim in the warm, clean, spring-fed waters---no wetsuits required. Bike to Bigfork with the horse farms along the Swan River as your guide. As the sun begins to set, start your grill and let the kids try their hands at ping pong or badminton on the grassy green yard. And if you're here to fish, Echo Lake is known for its Large-Mouth Bass and Northern Pike.

This home can be enjoyed during the winter season too. Ice fishing, cross-country skiing, and dog sledding can be enjoyed by all. And if you're here to downhill ski, Whitefish and Blacktail Mountains are only 45 minutes away.

This house has been a gift to our family and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do. Thanks for taking a look. We hope to hear from you.

The home was perfect for us and faciltated family dinners so nicely. The time spent relaxing at the dock and the water was divine! Kayaking was beautiful and the proximity to Glacier National Park was perfect.

We spent a terrific week on Echo Lake. With three young kids, the warm lake temps and fishing, and nearby access to hiking in the Jewell Basin were valuable. Even more so were campfires on the point and relaxing on the deck. The house also comes with many additions, from ping pong and table games to fishing rods that the owner graciously let us use. I'd recommend renting a small boat as you'll want to get out on the lake, and/or a ski boat if that's your thing. The house is clean and has a nice layout. Lots of bunkbeds enables many sleeping arrangements, master suite and office allow for peaceful places for the grown-ups. Close enough to town to make last-minute grocery shopping not very difficult. The owner was very helpful in getting us situated. Very comfortable, and very pretty views. We can't wait to go back next year!

What a remarkable property. We had the time of our life. The cabin was top notch and the beds were so comfortable. The Lake was full of small mouth bass. Even my 8 year old son was catching them. We would go back in a second and hope to return next year. I highly recommend this rental!!!!!

Our family had a fantastic time here! The location of the house is amazing; it is on a point and surrounded by water so any window you look out of has a gorgeous view of a lake, trees and/or mountains! The furnishings are really comfortable as well as beautiful. There are two wonderful decks on which we enjoyed breakfast and dinner, with the beautiful scenery as a backdrop. Our kids (6, 8 and 10) enjoyed the ping pong, badminton, and running around on the grassy yard. We took the kayaks out on the pond which was great; they had space for an adult and a kid, life jackets included. The house is a short drive to Big Fork, and Glacier National Park is not far at all. This is truly the ideal vacation house - the owners have thought of everything! We all dream of going back again!

Our Bigfork vacation was absolutely unbelievable! I could not get over how beautiful that mountain view was. The house is set up perfectly for a group and it is beautifully decorated. Lots of beds, kids family room, ping pong, huge dining room table, great kitchen, great decks on the front and the back of the house and the fire pit out on the point makes the perfect ending to the day. Great swimming and kayaking in Echo Lake. Flathead Lake is cold year round but Echo is perfect for swimming. We also ventured out to Glacier National Park. Some wonderful hiking and the most beautiful scenery ever. My husband and I love this place, our teenage kids love this place and we will definitely be back! This was a fabulous getaway!!!

About the owner: It was love at first site. The moment we saw this property (which was in February 2004), there was no turning back. It is a unique location with views of nature that we have not experienced anywhere else. Living on the East Coast with four children, we are not able to spend our summers here like we did in the past. We hope to share the magic of this property with like-minded people who want their families to re-conncet with each other while experiencing the gift of nature.

The Unique Benefits at this House:
You get the beauty of the mountains and the warm alpine lake with the comforts of fine dining, art and theater 3 miles away. Bigfork is home to the Bigfork Theater and many fine dining establishment. We also enjoy walking 1.5 miles to Echo Lake Cafe for breakfast along a biking path. And just down the street (less than a mile) is Swan Mountain Yoga located in a remodeled barn. This place really has it all.
