After the contract was signed and we paid the rental in full I had to CHASE him down via the information provided on the contract, FB, and his work information (I pulled off of Facebook) threatening to have payment cancelled by American Express and PayPal for not providing confirmation information for the reservation. I called the 'resort' myself 10 days prior to our scheduled arrival and was told there was no reservation under our name OR Greg's (and/or wife's) name for our dates. This was unacceptable and Greg's lack and delayed response was more unacceptable as I requested this information at signing of contract and when both deposit and final payment were made. Got the dirty booking feeling from this experience. Now, the property itself... WARNING: This is not a resort for relaxing and enjoying the pool and onsite restaurant. This is a full week of hard dirty sales pitch trying to get you to buy a timeshare! The stock photos Greg posted make the resort look beautiful and clean. HA, it was so dirty I had to have my sister, who lives locally, bring me a vacuum cleaner to vacuum the nasty floor and used a tub of Clorox wipes to wipe the nasty place down. For $30 more per day you can get maid service, but seeing how poorly 'cleaned' the condo was when we arrived it was easier for me to clean and have cocktails on that $30 each day. I'm posting pics to the internet. Also, the pool(s) and outdoor restaurant are so small and shared by 2(!) resort towers you can't find a table or lounge chairs! Not only did we find the rooms to be dirty, but the beds were exceptionally uncomfortable. The under window air conditioning units in each room are not what you find in a high end resort. They made it very difficult to control the room temp and were very loud and disruptive of good sleep. And finally, in addition to bringing your own vacuum cleaner I recommend bringing your own towel rack! As a BEACH resort you would think there would be places to hang your bath and beach towels, but NOPE. There is 1 towel rack, over the toilet, in each bathroom. That's it... really?!? Just not worth the money. Oh yeah, towel refresh will cost you too. And Greg's room description of (2) flat screen tvs... never found the second one! I mean really, how can a newer property have those under window AC units and TUBE tvs?!? Greg said it's like home away from home for he and his wife. Well, my home is far cleaner than this hole! Listing dates are incorrect - although I was assured in more than one email that the dates were 8/13-20/11, and those were the dates listed in the contract I signed and returned with my deposit, I received an email today (3/9/11) that the dates are wrong, that my deposit check is being returned, that I can rent 8/19-26 for a little less-basically, the deposit amount, and that they are very sorry. More than 3 times, I confirmed the dates and each time I was told the dates are 8/13-20 - and then, after everything is signed that includes these dates, I'm told the dates are wrong. Not very professional. I would be very hesitant to rent off this group as you can't be assured your reservation will go through even if you signed a contract specifying the dates. Scary.Owner response: While there was an unfortunate error with the original listing, the dates listed are correct. This is a great vacation resort, first class and not to be missed. Come enjoy an end-of -summer special vacation. Every effort will be made to ensure you have an incredible time!
