We met for a family vacation (7 adults & 2 kids). The condo was perfect. Plenty of room. Everything was clean & newer. Great location - quiet & safe. 2 bikes in the garage and a bike rental shop just a couple blocks away. We enjoyed riding up to Santa Monica pier and shopping at the 3rd Street Promenade. Less than an hour drive to Disney. A lot of little details that just really made the condo perfect for us - nice beds & pillows, we fit 10 around the dinner table, 31/2 bathrooms, nice little balcony to enjoy the morning sun & a cup of coffee, rooftop deck to enjoy the stars at night, we used the grill down on the patio. We never heard any neighbors. The security is great, although we never felt unsafe in this neighborhood. We would definitely stay here again. I would highly recommend this condo to anyone traveling with a group. The owner made it so easy to book. He responded to our inquiry right away. Great accomodations for a very reasonable price.

We met for a small family reunion. Slept 3 families here (7 adults & 2 kids). Made dinner in the evenings - used the grill down on the patio. It was great. Very comfortable. Nice fireplace for the cool evenings. Convenient location. We never heard any neighbors. Two bikes in the garage and a bike rental shop just a few blocks away. Great security, although we never felt like we needed it in this neighborhood. Garage parking. Everything was clean and newer. Nice beds and pillows. We would definitely stay here again. We enjoyed biking up to Santa Monica Pier & shopping at the 3rd Street Promenade. Took us less than an hour to drive down to Disney. And only 30-45 minutes drive in rush hour traffic down to a LA Galaxy game. This was the first time we stayed at a condo versus a hotel. The owner made it so easy to book. When we inquired, he got back to us right away. I would highly recommend this property to others.

We rented this place to have our company meeting and it was fabulous. It is a really good place for family, for friends and even for a small group of work team that needs to get together. The apartment is very well equipped, the bedrooms are nice and big. The localization is great (close to the beach and close to good restaurants).

First of, the owners are very nice and welcoming. The condo is immaculate. They had everything we needed from towels, to shampoo, beach towels, washer and dryer, laundry detergent, beach bags, beach chairs, boogie boards, bicycles, everything you need in the kitchen they have, cable, pretty much everything. It felt like I was in my own home. Also, this condo is located in a nice neighborhood. 1 block away from what it looks like an exclusive part of Venice Beach which I really loved. Bring a volleyball because they have nets all over the beach. We ran every morning by Venice beach and it's really safe and refreshing so if you're in to running, you will have a nice running path. Restaurants, bars, Starbucks are a few blocks away so walking everyday was not a problem. So if you're thinking of renting this place, go for it! I promise that you will not regret it. We actually told Steve (owner) that we are renting the "Galleon" condo again next year...

All I can say is that this was an awesome experience! The owners, Steve and Judy made the rental process very pleasant and easy. We rented the penthouse condo on Galleon st. When we arrived, we were blown away. This surpassed our expectations. The pictures, reviews and emails with the owner were not exaggerated. This place was everything that they said it was. The location is also perfect. Close enough to all the action and fun of Venice, yet far enough from the crowds and unwanted element (if you know Venice, then you know what I'm talking about). The location is also a short block from a clean and secluded part of the beach. We are definitely going back next year! Thanks Steve and Judy!

We stayed at the Galleon St condo in early July -- 3rd time in 3 years that we've stayed at one of these units and again, it was a wonderful experience! Steve and Judy are great and helped to make our stay enjoyable. They provide beach towels/chairs, boogie boards, bicycles, etc. The whole family had fun going to the beach, taking walks or riding bikes to Venice to people watch and get ice cream from Coldstone, going to nearby Santa Monica pier. It was truly a home away from home and we can't wait to come back next year!

We came to CA with 6 kids, 1 grandma and had a blast!! The condo on Galleon was exactly as described and perfect for our large family. We loved the large living spaces, decks and toys and equipment in the garage that Steve had left for us. We were even able to get a truck and small SUV in the garage. It was close to the beach, reasonable distance to Disney, and easy to get home to at night. It was so nice to have beach towels and all there so that we didn't have to bring them and the washer and dryer were wonderful. The kitchen was well stocked, lots of serving pieces. We ran out of some things and though Steven was out of town, his cousin was great in getting things to us as needed. We have already told friends about this place and will certainly be back!

Description very accurate and very well appointed condo. Extra touches by owner such as shampoo and body wash in all bathrooms and clothes washing detergent noted by all and much appreciated. Owner met us at unit and went over everything . Great customer service. Condo in great location and walking distance to everything our group was interested in. Walked through Venice beach and Santa Monica. Not the normal VRBO condo. Much better. Definitely recommend and will be back.

We are a team of 5 coming in LA for an expo. We have spent a week in this house instead of taking hotel rooms. We have felt instantly at home here, thanks first to the owners who are incredibly charming - after 11 hours of plane and 9 hours of jet lag, this is much appreciated -, and then thanks to this house. The location is perfect, 300 m from the restaurants and animation of the Venice Pier, 50 m from the beach. You can live here without a car. The house itself, as you can see on the photos is really nice and spacious, and perfectly maintained. It is a perfect combination of comfort and design. We even had fresh flowers and I love flowers! The only thing to know is that you access by stairs. Good to know if you have an old person with you.

We rented this condo for seven adults and had a great time. Plenty of room for everybody. Unit has a nice, spacious roof deck. About a ten minute walk to Venice Beach, multiple restaurants, bars, bike rentals, etc. Owner was a very nice guy. He promptly resolved a minor issue that we had with the washer/dryer unit. We will stay here again when we travel to this area.

We had a lovely time at the Galleon St. condo. It served as a home base for our family as we celebrated a college graduation. We found everything to be just as advertised. The location near the beach was family-friendly, with good restaurants a stroll away and a well-stocked grocery store a short drive away. Comfy beds, lots of space for gathering and spending time together, plenty of beach accessories from bikes to balls, and internet access for those who just can't be without -- all the ingredients for a happy family vacation. Owners were very welcoming and helpful.

Our experience here was over the moon! Steven was easy to work with and every detail was attended to. How nice to have a garage to park our rental car in! We walked to Starbucks each morning, the beach, boardwalk, restaurants and shopping. After a full day, or between activities, we'd relax on the rooftop patio. It was everything we'd hoped for - and then some! This was so convenient for the whole family to be together and yet there was plenty of privacy. Can't wait to return to Marina del Rey - and Steven's condo.

We have rented two condo's on Galleon Street for our stay in LA in March 2011. The booking, arrangements with the owner, the hand over of the keys, and the condition of the condos were simply excellent. We had great time at Marina Del Rey, walked in the mornings to Venice Beach, visited Starbucks which was just few blocks away. This was the first time we rented a condo during vacation, and the experience was truly rewarding. Everything that was described about the condos were true, the bedrooms, the living rooms , bathrooms and kitchens were in superb condition, sparkling clean. We had all the comforts of our homes- big TV screens, ironing board, washing machine and drier. We highly recommend these condos, and we look forward to renting them again in the future if our plans bring us back to LA again!

Me and my girlfreinds(a total of 6) went to LA for the first time and this penthouse condo was pefect. The location was close to the beach and the neighbood was very quite. The 34 steps were not bad, even in heels. We did not have a problem finding eateries, market and other stores in the area. We was also able to get downtown without using the 405 freeway. We had a minor problem with a leak due to the rain, but Steven was very concerned if it continued(but it didn't). We even rode the bikes to the beach and walked the neighbood. We enjoyed this place so much that we left a gift.

We have never stayed at a nicer rental than the Galleon Street condo. The condo is gorgeous with every possible amenity. The owner is very helpful and available. The location can't be beat. One block from the beach, a 5 minute walk to restaurants, cafes, Venice Beach broadwalk A very safe neighborhood. Also if you have a car it is accessible to all of LA and surrounding towns. We would highly recommend this condo to anyone visiting the LA area for vacation or business. You will love it !

We spend a wonderfull time in this property. We were a group of 9 adults and we all have enough space to be around the house. It´s great that it´s so close to de sea (one block) so in the morning we could spent some time in the shore. The neighboardhood is secure and nice, and there are restaurantes, coffe shops, and supermarket nearby. The property was clean and well-maintained and the amenites were great for a large group of people. The owner received us with all the details about our stayed in the house and provides us a good customer service. If you want to enoy L.A. you will need a car to visit Hollywood and Downtown L.A. but if you enjoy to be near the sea this is the perfect choise. I will definitely come back to the property and i´ll recomend it to all my friends and family.

I recently rented this condo with a group of family and friends and each one of us absolutely loved it. From the location, cleanliness, spaciousness and amenities, we didn't have any complaints at all. We were pleasantly surprised by all of the small touches we found around every corner and each time we opened a drawer or closet that made our stay there very enjoyable and relaxing. The house is on a quiet street which is a very short distance away from the beach. If we were looking for a little bit more action, we walked up to Venice Beach which was only about 10 mintues away. It really was the best of both worlds. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to rent a house in this area!

The condo is clean and classy. Equipment and fittings were all the quality you'd want at home and not cheap holiday home stuff. The beach is only a couple of hundred yards away and we walked down there with nothing but shorts on and carrying the boogie boards (which were in the garage waiting for us). Plenty of restaurants in walking distance - it's a high quality neighbourhood. Only 20 minutes from the LAX and a perfect place for a family (or even 2 families but may be too crowded) to base itself near the beach but handy for the tourist sites too. Landlord very easy going to deal with and honest in all aspects.

We came from England for a family wedding and Steve(the owner) could not have been more helpful As we left LAX we called and he was there waiting for us on arrival There was everything you could possibly need provided ( enough for our party of 8) Plenty of space even for 8! The condo was very clean and in a lovely quiet area but only a short walk away from restaurants, bars and the beach needless to say I will definitely use again!

This condo more than met all our needs/expectations! Beautifully maintained with many nice extra touches--such as games and books for the children. (There was also a pretty yellow blank journal which inadvertently ended up in our car and which we tossed back into garage just as the door was closing; hope you found it, Steve!) The owner gave us helpful tips on our arrival, and the space was very well suited to our group of 5 adults + 3 children ranging from 3-10 years. Location is perfect, just a short walk to beach and town. I would definitely recommend; only thing to be aware of is--lotsa stairs!

The Condo was completely loaded and exceeded my group's expectations. It was clean and the description was accurate. It was a great value because the overall cost was less than other smaller condos and comparable hotels. The location is a block and a half walk from the beach and a 10 minute walk from bars and restaurants. I would rent this condo again.
