Taking a late season ski weekend at Crystal, we enjoyed a cozy and comfortable stay at Deborah's cabin. The cabin is nicely situated to offer quiet and privacy, yet is loaded with large windows which allows you to look out to the large trees and open foliage. The furnishings are very comfortable and we spent evenings reading, watching shows on the large TV via our iPads, and enjoying the snowflakes floating down outside. Just as Deborah described, the neighbor dogs came calling and our dog enjoyed playing with them. Two large elk showed up Sunday morning as if on cue and stayed a good long time allowing us to take pictures. Highly recommend staying at this wonderful cabin if you have the chance.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

We spent 3 days at the cabin enjoying some spring skiing at Crystal Mt. Everything was wonderful! We grilled out, had a campfire and watched the elk on their daily visits. The cabin is very clean with a well stocked kitchen for your cooking needs. The beds are comfortable and we were surprised with a king bed in the master bedroom. The cabin is nestled in the woods yet there are other properties within site so you don't have the feeling of being completely secluded. The appearance of the elk was the real "bonus" for us! We were even treated to some bugling! I would definitely recommend the cabin to others. Deborah was most helpful and accommodating and we look forward to spending more time there in the future.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

My two sons and I spent 3 days skiing at Crystal, and staying at this delightful home in the woods. Rental properties can be cold, rather sterile and sparsely equipped, but not in this case. We definitely felt we were staying in a home, not a rental property. The accommodations were great, just as described on the website. Good beds, soft towels, fully-equipped kitchen and lots of room to spread out after a hard day skiing. We were even lucky enough to watch the local elk herd browse through the yard one morning! You won't be disappointed!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

We booked a last minute trip for the New Year here. Th owner was easy to work with and quite flexible. We went skiing at crystal mountain which was an easy 20 minute drive away. We also did a day hike to a water fall which was a 10 minute drive away. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking meals. There was a good amount of bath towels available and the house was stocked with toilet paper and paper-towels, there was even small bars of soap in the bathroom which was nice. I wish there was a real fire place inside but there was a fire pit outside and the owner had a nice pile of wood for us to use. The beds were nice and the whole place was clean. We did see the elk 3 of the 4 days we were there which was awesome!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

My family and I rented the cabin over Christmas so we could ski at Crystal Mountain. We had such a great time. The cabin was very comfortable and clean. It had everything we needed for our stay. The location is great. It is tucked away in the woods so it is very private. It is not to far from Crystal Mountain so it makes for a perfect ski cabin. The owner is very friendly and responsive. I felt really good about renting from her. We would definitely rent again.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

A cozy cabin in the woods outside Greenwater. In the winter perfect for skiing at Crystal Mountain (though we don't ski). We did ride up to Haller Pass (logging road 74) and sled (along with all the "rural" elements of Enumclaw it would seem). We loved hanging at the cabin in a beautiful setting. Very very dog friendly, comfy; a great time away from it all. We loved having Thanksgiving here.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, pet owners.

My family and I stayed in Deborah's cabin last Christmas and since then I just couldn't wait to get back there!! So we rented it for this year for 4 days over New years eve and we are so excited about spending our time together as a family up at the cabin, again. My review though that I'm writing about is for this October. I had a weekend invite to go on a midnight hike with some girlfriends up around tipsoo lake and couldn't resist asking Debera if we could stay in her cabin.....though it was VERY last minute, she was so absolutely wonderful and accommodating. She welcomed us to stay with open arms and to enjoy her wonderful cabin. This is the type of place, that when you walk in, it just feels like your home away from home. I've stayed at a lot of vacation rentals through the years and though there have been some great ones, I have never worked with someone as easy as Debora.....she seems to really be sharing her cabin for the right reasons.....not just simply money.....she really wants people to create memories here. Back to our stay.....we did our midnight hike and came back to the cabin and got cleaned up and into the PJ's we went.....curled up on the couch for a movie and a BIG glass of wine and out like a light we went!! The next morning we woke up and cooked a yummy breakfast and made some mimosa's and back on the couch we were again......this was going to be a relaxing weekend and it was just what I needed. All my stress went out the window and I owe my thanks to Deborah for allowing us to stay, even though it was last minute : )Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

I have two kids who ski on the CMAC ski team and trying to coordinate the races with a cabin rental or hotel is very challenging for those of us who are not as fortunate to own at place near Crystal or have a motor home. If you have been up to beautiful Crystal, the accomodations there are sparce, run down and way way too$. I can't tell you how affordable, efficient and charming this cabin is. It fits my family beautifully, allows usto bring our special lovable black lab, who loves to sleep near the fire place and just works for coming home, unloading, cooking a meal and getting a good night sleep only to get up early and repeat the schedule. We have repeated many weekends here and always find it better and better. The owner has asked me several times to write a review and the only reason I have been reluctant, is because I don't really want to let my little secret out. Enjoy.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway.

We stayed in Deborah's cabin for 2 nights in the summer time. Deborah gave us clear directions to the cabin as well as detailed instructions for when we arrived. The cabin was exactly as shown in the photos - we loved how cosy it felt and instantly felt at home. The location was perfect to explore Mount Rainier - a short, pretty drive to the entrance to the park and then a bit further to Sunrise and all the great hiking in the area. We will remember our trip to Mount Rainier NP fondly, in part thanks to the great time we had at Deborah's cabin.Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway.

This cabin was a great launching point for exploring Mt. Rainier National Park. We did some nearby hikes and went up to the National Park during the days. Spent our evenings sitting on the deck, reading, cooking, and watching the 17 (!) elk walk through the property. Just incredible! A great trip, we'd definitely return again!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners.

About the owner: Hello, My name is Deborah and I have had my cabin since 1989. This cabin has been so special to my family and we have shared so many wonderful times at the cabin. I have been a hardcore skier most all of my life and have skied at Crystal Mountain for years. I truly hope that anyone who stays at the Cabin will enjoy every moment they are there. There are so many activities to enjoy and if your not up for a lot of activities the cabin is the perfect place to just hang out and unwind from the crazy city life and spend quality time with your family and friends.
Why the Owner Chose Greenwater:
For skiing at Crystal Mountain. Crystal Mountain is the best mountain to ski at in the state of Washington. In addition we have enjoyed so much more over the years hiking in the Rainier National forest, biking, snowshoeing, golfing in Enumclaw and just hanging out and relaxing at the cabin reading books, playing games and watching movies. You will love it here.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
This property is located in Crystal River Ranch, which is an Elk Sanctuary. The last time I counted the herd there were 43 elk. It is almost impossible not to see these beautiful creatures milling around the ranch or just poking there snouts in the window of the cabin. Beware however not to feed them or get close to them.
