This property was better than described in the listing. The photos were great; however, being there is so very much better. The property was extremely well maintained and the entire house was immaculate. The owner was exceptionally helpful. We talked a few times on the phone and he sent special instructions on getting there. He is so personably and we will definitely plan on staying there again. The house was so large with lots of space in all areas. The indoor heated pool was so enjoyed by all of us. Our grandchildren played on the Foos Ball table, pool table and ping pong, challenging all of us to the games. We have all agreed that this was one of our best vacations ever, and one of the reasons is because of this fantastic place we stayed. We were 5 adults and 3 children and there was so much area for us to enjoy. The front and back porch are incredible. We kinda wanted to see a bear, but that did not happen. Maybe next time!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

This cabin was a great escape for the family. The pool was a hit with the kids and having them in the next room allowed for relaxation without worrying or the need for someone to take them down the road. The cabin was clean and the furniture was very comfortable. The master bedroom was huge and would be great for a family to stay in together if vacationing with others. The kids loved the bunk bed room and were able to stay entertained in the cabin. The owner suggested a ride in through the foothills parkway which was beautiful with the changing leaves. The unit is about 20 minutes from the main areas of Gatlinburg which made it convenient but quiet. The unit is at the end of the road and was therefore pretty secluded with only a couple of neighbors. The family had a great time and loved the unit. The owner was very responsive and a true pleasure to deal with. I would recommend this cabin to anyone. The photos were accurate and the wifi worked throughout the cabin...we have had problems with other cabins and getting a signal. The door to the swimming pool locked via a keypad and was great that the adults and older kids could have the code and the younger ones could not. There was a slight issue with the door lock latching each time, but pulling the door forward while pressing the lock button ensured success every time. Also, not apparent in the phots when I looked, but there is also a door from the pool room to a half bath, great feature to avoid getting water all over the floor when getting out or needing a restroom break. The washer/dryer worked great as well as the dishwasher. Again, the family had a great time, I would highly recommend this cabin to others and the owner was very easy to work with All in all a great place for a get away.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Wonderful cabin to rent when you want to be away from the hustle and bustle of the busy Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area. Beautiful paved roads lead to the cabin which makes the 20 minute drive from town pleasant. The cabin is placed at the end of a cul-ta-sac which makes there little traffic. Pictures don't do the cabin justice as the bedrooms are spacious and easy to manuever around in. Kitchen was nicely stocked with all the top chef could want but could use a basic fry pan!! The swimming pool was the main focus and highlight of our visit. Nicely sized and very warm for many people with ease of access for senior. Homeowners are easy to work with and very accomodating as they placed a ramp at the front entrance for wheelchair accessibility. Would HIGHLY recommend rental of cabin for relaxing vacation.Recommended for: People with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, families with young children, girls getaway.

I rented this cabin on a recommendation of one of my clients/friends, they have bn telling me about it for almost 5 years and I finally decided this would be a great way for me to surprise my wife for her 50th birthday. It was a little last minute, but the owners were gracious enough to accomodate me for this special occasion. My wife and daughter went up on Friday, my son and I had to work on Saturday and couldn't get away until after work, but I had invited a few of her relatives as a surprise to her, and it really was a surprise for her! The "cabin" (in reality, more of an upscale, spacious private log-home) had all the luxury ammenities you could ever want and we only wish we could have been there longer to take advantage of every one of them! The owner set up access ramps for my wife's Aunt who gets around in a power chair and who also travelled 700 miles to be there. We served food on the kitchen table that was capable of seating at least 12 people (I would more accurately describe it as "fit for a King!"), the house was stocked with everything you would need except for your own food & drinks. It was very clean and had a washer & dryer, dishwasher, detergent for both, along with a fridge with ice-maker, oven and a microwave. We went in the indoor pool, the hot tub on the back deck, played a little ping pong, & being an avid pool player, I had to shoot a little pool as well while I was there and ten watched a movie with the family before retiring for the evening. Close enough to the multitude of activities and restaurants offered in Gatlinburg, but far enough away from all of the hustle-bustle, this cabin is an ideal family get-away destination as well as a wonderful family re-union type rental and I could not personally recommend it any higher to family or friends! Like my review title, there is only one word that can sum it all up, WOW!!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

I rated this 3 stars because the amenities get 5 stars and the cleanliness gets 0 stars. I hope the cleaning/maintenance company is replaced soon because the owner is getting a raw deal. Immediately upon arriving at the cabin, we found a very small pipe on the floor still reeking of marijuana. No towels were hanging in any of the bathrooms so we had to search for them (not a big deal, but after renting many cabins, this was unusual and not very welcoming). The other bedrooms had a lamp on both sides of the bed, but not mine and I had to crawl to turn it off. The other bathrooms had a rug on the floor, but not mine (again, not a big deal, but little things do make a difference). Upon retiring for the evening a couple of us had trouble breathing, then discovered that: the ceiling fans were so covered in dust that it was actually hanging off of them, you could sit on the bed and see where the vacuum had been run hit-or-miss and under the furniture the dust was so thick that the burgundy carpet was white, and the dust in the bathrooms was sticking to the walls. A couple of us are allergic to dust, so it did cause us problems. When I got cold, I pulled a blanket out of the closet and began to spread it out on the bed, then noticed several brown and red fresh-looking stains and immediately threw it on the floor. The shower curtain had mildew on it and the bathtub had a dirty bathtub ring. We found a pair of child’s underwear in the washer, which made us wonder if the last things run thru the washer were really the bed linens and towels after the last renters left. At one point we noticed that many of the windows were open at the top. When we tried to push them up to close them, it pulled the bottom windows up with them, so that the windows couldn’t be closed. Several light bulbs were burned out. When we first arrived, the dishwasher was running. We put those dishes away and as we used dishes, we put them in the dishwasher. Then as we were leaving to come home, we were going to run the dishwasher and discovered that no dishwasher detergent had been provided, making us wonder if the dishes we had used were run thru with only water. All of the issues we had can easily be corrected by a decent cleaning/maintenace company, so I do still say this cabin is a good value for the money. There are many amenities, the neighborhood was quiet while we were there, the beds are comfy, the pool is awesome and the drive to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge isn't bad at all.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, pet owners.

My family recently stayed at this cabin, and it was a wonderful experience. The home is beautiful & clean. (The cleaning crew does an especially nice job on the pool & hot tub.) The game room / theater was a great place to relax at night, & the large TV downstairs was very nice with many more channels than I am used to. Perhaps my worst complaint about the house was that the theater's DVD player was not very friendly & made me put in each DVD several times before it would read it (even with new ones). The bedrooms are huge and really could fit as many people as they say if you used the pull-out sofas. We especially liked the kids' room with the two sets of bunk beds (2 queens & 2 twins). While another reviewer complained of noisy neighbors, we had the opposite experience. The house across the street is for sale & vacant. The one next to that is nearing completion & is also vacant. Woods are behind and to the left. We never heard from our neighbors on the right, although we did see cars there. There is a decently thick row of trees & vegetation between the two homes... not enough to make it comfortable to walk around naked in the back yard, but plenty to keep you from feeling like you're on display when you're in the hot tub. The location was both a blessing and a curse to us. The Cosby entrance to the park is less than a mile from the house, so getting into Smoky Mt. Natl Park is fast! Our kids (ages 3-9) played for hours in the creek there. A few of us adults also took the 4-mile round-trip hike to Hen Wallow Falls. While there are many trails that connect you with the rest of the park, the Cosby entrance is just one road that eventually dead-ends into the campground. To take some of the hikes that we wanted to take, we were forced to drive through Gatlinburg. Although it takes only about 20 minutes to get from Cosby to Gatlinburg, it can take another 20 minutes just to get into the park through the Gatlinburg traffic. You should definitely research alternate routes to get through that awful stretch of 321. Ugh! One bonus of the drive from Cosby to Gatlinburg is that it is very pretty. It also has a decent amount of geocaches. I cannot imagine anyone not enjoying this place. It is beautiful & even better than it is advertised. If we lived closer, we would definitely consider buying the home across the street!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

The owner's of this property are extremely friendly and helpful. Prior to our stay, I had several questions and the owner was able to answer back to me both via phone and e-mail. The home is adequately stocked and we never ran out of paper towels, toilet paper, or any of the other ammenities that were included in this reasonable price. Safety was one of our biggest concerns with this rental, and the pool has a keycode and can be locked at all times. The furniture does not have any sharp edges, and our kids were able to play freely throughout the home. I would recommend this property to family and friends in the future.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.
