My family has been going to Grayton Beach each summer for 15 years and have stayed at the OASIS East in Gulf Trace for the past four years. We have stayed at many homes in this area, but will continue to first try to book at the Oasis East as we have come to love this particular home. The owners spend much of their time in the area, so the house is well maintained and if you ever need anything they will respond almost immediately. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay. What we love about the house is the view of the Gulf to the South and Alligator Lake to the East. We all spend many mornings watching the sun rise over the lake and gulf, and many evenings on one of the many decks watching nightfall. If you like spending time on the beach, this house is situated close to the beach which makes it convenient for an early morning walk or run, an easy trek back to the house while you are on the beach, or a night time stroll. Highly recommended destination for beach loving families.

I had such high hopes for our stay here. The screened porch is nice with a great view of the water, the AC worked well and the property had a separate ice maker. So from a location standpoint, this is a great place. That said, however, this property is quite outdated, except for some updates to the kitchen. It needs a deep cleaning and general overhaul. The furniture and rug in the living area needs to be replaced. There are only two TVs in the unit: a small TV (maybe 32”) in the living area and tiny (12 inch maybe) TV in the MBR. This is a disadvantage in general, but especially with small children. We had plumbing issues from the previous renters, which the owner took care of. Using the microwave the second night, the breaker in the kitchen blew and left us unable to use any small appliances plugged into an overloaded outlet in the kitchen. The breaker box is practically inaccessible in a locked closet outside. We had to call the owner and then crawl through over 8 feet of furniture stored/stacked five feet high to reach the breaker box. The porch screens are torn, nails sticking up on the floor boards and some of the frame boards of the porch were loose, making it unsafe for small children and many of the windows need to be replaced because of condensation. Overall, we wouldn’t go back—despite the location.
Owner response:We have a property manager that monitors any maintenance work that needs to be done. We provide his number to our renters in the confirmation letter so that they can contact him directly at any point during their stay if they need assistance. Unfortunately he never heard from this renter regarding an issue with nails or frame boards on the porch being loose. Safety is of utmost importance to us and when we are notified of an issue we take care of it immediately!

We just came back from our long week stay here and the memories just wont go away of the serenity of this place. We rented both sides for our extended families and it went so smooth with eaveryone having their own privacy. My kids enjoyed the wrap around covered porches and the sand dunes infront along with the creek where every morning kids would practice their surfing moves. The view and sound of the ocean from the balconies and porches was breathtaking! I woke up everymorning to greet the ocean and fell asleep to the sounds of the waves. If you want a true private beach house then this house along with Gulf Trace properties is the one to pick! We already are planing to go back to the area next month. We will drive from Dallas every year to experience this all over again. Thank you for the house, The Leal and Torres family!

Location was fabulous. View of lake on left and gulf to front. Furnishings could be updated a bit. Any concerns we had I have addressed with owner. Owner is quite accomodating and easy to work with.

This is a place we return to each year. The views and beach are exceptional; the decor is artistic and creative. We appreciate the thoughtful touches that make our stay comfortable, creating an ambiance for entertaining friends and relatives. Our favorite restaurant is "Goat Feathers". Nearby shopping is great.
Owner response:We have absolutely loved having you as guests in our home! We trust that Oasis East has been the perfect place for your family to join together each year! Gulf Trace is one of the most private areas on 30-A and it is surrounded by wonderful shopping and incredible restaurants (The Red Bar, Cafe Thirty-A, Another Broken Egg Cafe, Bud and Alley's, Caliza, Old Florida Fish House, Wild Olives and so much more!)
