Great location and great place! Caught 24 inch Northern's right off the pier. We were very comfortable in this cottage! 2 wine glasses would have been nice, but I always had the ONE :). Bunk Beds were perfect! Very comfy! No complaints! Would definately return! The sunrise on the swing was amazing EVERY DAY!Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.
Owner response: Thank you for the positive response and for letting me know about the wine glasses - they will be replaced soon. Hope to have you stay next year. The Craig Family

I was a lone dad with five kids ages 12 to 18 looking to create some special memories in a cabin on a lake in the north woods. This cabin fit the bill. In the day we played in the water, swam off the pier and fished. The canoe and row boat enabled some great experiences we shared. In the evening we played numerous games of cards and Monopoly at the large kitchen table. Sometimes we watched a movie on a huge flat screen TV with 5.1 surround sound. That doesn't seem like roughing it does it? The week we were there it was quite hot and humid so the cabin's air conditioning came in quite handy. Hmmm...definately not roughing it! The summer heat made the pristine waters of Bass Lake all the more enjoyable and refreshing. The Craig's are very easy to work with and most helpful. The cabin, albeit small, was clean and perfectly served our purposes (to share wonderful experiences on a lake) very well indeed. The kitchen had everything one needs for great meals. Just outside the door is a picnic table on a slate patio next to a fire pit for evening samores. There was another fire pit down by the lake frontage as well. Fishing was abundant right off the pier. For a simple low frills getaway in a perfectly located and simply beautiful cabin on an pristine lake, this one is a keeper!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

This is our second year staying at this cabin and we plan on coming back next year. The cabin is nice, clean, comfortable and has a very well equipped kitchen. We felt right at home as soon as we walked in the door We are constantly fishing and boating (we brought our own trolling motor and used the provided fishing boat). My kids have learned to fish up here and love it. Apparently, there is only so much quiet and relaxation kids can handle, so I am happy town is a short drive away. There is plenty to do in town and good places to eat. We also brought our bikes and plan on exploring near by state parks. As I write is review, I am sitting on the deck/patio area drinking my coffee, looking at the sun rising over the lake, watching my husband and 7 year old fish in the boat, and enjoying watching a male and female bald eagle sitting in a near by tree. I think they call this lake home because we have seen them several times. When we are on vacation, we are ready to go home on the last day. That is not true with this place. We never want to leave.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
Owner response: I am so glad that you feel the way we do - we never want to leave either. It is such a joy to hear that you love our cabin. We try very hard to make your stay as comfortable as possible and we are glad that you consider this home. I pray your children will look back on these days with fond memories and choose to have the same experiences for their own children. Have a Wonderful Vacation!;) Chris

The property was absolutely perfect! The view of the lake was beyond beautiful, and the peace and quiet were exactly what we were looking for. The property had everything we could possibly need. It was clean and very relaxing and cozy. It was also nice that the trip to town was only a 5 minute drive, so we could easily go do something, and then travel quickly back to "our retreat away from the world". It will be a treasured memory forever and we look forward to going again next year. The owner answered any questions promptly and wanted to make sure we had the best stay possible. I would highly recommend a stay at this very beautiful place.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.
Owner response: Thank you for your response. It is so nice to hear that you enjoy being at our cabin. We are glad that it was a haven for you to relax and just be... We are looking forward to your visit next year.
