Come enjoy a wonderful weekend getaway at our vintage 1932 Big Bear Lake cabin on a 1/4 acre of forest. We are located just a short walk away from Snow Summit Ski Resort, but you feel a million miles away from anything. We have a large yard and also an enclosed back yard for your pet or small children to play. The cabin is situated in the Summit Estates area of Big Bear Lake. All of the neighborhood houses are on large parcels of land and are immaculately kept. You can simply go out the front door and walk down our quiet street and be swept away.
Decorated in classic cabin decor, our cozy cabin has two bedrooms with queen size beds and two full baths for your convenience. It is perfectly suited for two couples or a small family. The living room has a twin size bed and a couch making it possible to sleep 6 people total. There are tv/dvd players in both bedrooms and also in the living room area. A pack and play is available if needed. We have sleds available for your winter enjoyment. There is even a small hill in the front yard to test out your sledding skills.
Relax on the deck in our front yard and enjoy the experience of being in the outdoors far away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The property has 3.5 acres of undeveloped land right behind it. There are also vast expanses of empty land just across the street. Nowhere else in Big Bear will you find a quaint little 2 bedroom cabin with this much land and open space and yet be so close to all of the major attractions (Snow Summit, The Village, the lake ). So come visit us at the 'Summit Cabin Escape'.

This was a wonderful place for our family of 4. It was just enough room. Not to big and not to small. So close to the slopes as well as town. Not much snow for us but there was plenty of other things to do in the area! Owners were very easy to work with as we had some last minute changes. Will look forward to returning any time of year.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children.

We had a wonderful stay at this delightful little cabin. Our kids enjoyed sledding in the front yard and loved building a snowman. It was quiet and very comfortable for our family of four. The wood burning franklin stove and vintage range were a nice touch. Beautifully decorated. Can't wait to go back again. Owner was very easy to work with.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We spent only 2 nights up at the cabin, but it had everything we were looking for--cute cabin decor, close to Snow Summit for some great skiing/boarding, easy to find, yet removed a bit from all the crowds. We wanted the 'nestled in the woods' feeling and this cabin provided it! My toddler son enjoyed gathering pine cones and exploring out back. At night we enjoyed the wood burning stove, the beds were super comfy, and there was plenty of room for the 5 of us. Doug was so very helpful to us as we had a big storm headed towards us, and he provided lots of information and quick replies. Definitely turn UP the water heater (hotter than you might back home) as it was tough to get water that wasn't just 'warm' for awhile. Overall, great experience and we hope to return next season or during the summer!Recommended for: Pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.
