Welcome to your next vacation get-away! Our gorgeous, quaint, remodeled cabin is perfectly located 20 minutes from St. Cloud and only an hour from the Twin Cities. This spectacular cabin has something for everyone. If you are a couple looking for a romantic getaway, this is the most relaxing, tranquil cabin you will find and it even comes with its own private point. For families with children, the parents will the able to relax and the kids will never be bored. We even have accommodations for babies and have hosted several family reunions.
With a huge level lot only 20 feet from the water's edge you have the perfect view of our picturesque sunrise and sunsets. Our cozy cabin comes complete with a fishing boat with motor and gas and a paddleboat or bring your own Power boat and jet skis. The boat access is a stone’s throw away! Our sandy beach and lakeshore are perfect for sun bathing, swimming and all kinds of watersports and our cabin comes complete with a swimming raft and a tire swing right over the water.
Wake up in the morning to the sounds of our local nesting loons or sit on our beautiful deck overlooking the water and watch the bald eagles and osprey fishing for their breakfast. We are also routinely visited by white pelicans, otters, beaver and families of Canada geese.
Like to fish? Throw in a line and catch a huge bass right off the dock! We routinely catch pike, bass, walleye and pan fish and have some of the best fishing on the lake. If you have kids that like to fish, this is your perfect cabin. They can literally catch a fish every time they put a worm in the water.
If you like to ice fish, the best spot is drectly in front of our cabin. You can literally watch TV and your tip ups at the same time. We also have excellent ice skating and cross country skiing. Powder Ridge Ski and Tubing area is only 5 minutes away.
If you are bringing the family, we have a wide variety of toys and family games, Direct TV, wireless internet, a DVD and book library and free phone service. There is even a toddler swing for the little ones.
Like to eat out? Within 2 miles there is an excellent, affordable family restaurant, Mom's Cafe, as well as a gas station and bait shop. If you enjoy shopping, visit historic Annandale only 5 miles away for their quaint downtown shops or visit the Wright County Swapper's Meet flea market (open Sat and Sun) for that great find. This is one of the best flea markets in the state and excellent for antiquing or just looking for that special item. I love to go there on the weekends to look for everything from kids toys to vintage cookbooks.
In the evening, cook sizzling steaks on the gas BBQ, grill or toast hot dogs and marshmallows around our huge fire pit, completely equipped with complementary firewood. There is a large dining room table inside and an 8 person picnic table overlooking the lake.
Our beautiful cabin is the perfect family retreat and we have hosted several family reunions. Our huge lot is big enough for volleyball and croquet or even tents. We own the adjacent, private treed lot perfect for parking an RV.
With two bedrooms and a large double bed fold out futon there is plenty of room for 6 adults. Have a baby? We offer a portable playpen and high chair as well. All furnishings, linens, cooking utensils, and kitchenware are also included. Want to bring your dogs? We have two dogs that LOVE the water and welcome pets for a non-refundable $150 pet deposit. Please note that smoking is not allowed inside the cabin.

Open YEAR ROUND; $135 per Weeknight or $675 per week. Our week runs from Sunday at 3:00 PM through Friday at noon.

We require a $400 security deposit and an additional $150 non-refundable pet deposit (if applicable) due at booking. Half the rent is due 8 weeks prior to the rental date and the balance is due 4 weeks prior to the rental date. We accept all major credit cards,.

Very quaint and well maintained cottage! Great for small children with sandy beach outside front door! Owners are great & very hospitable, ensuring all needs were met. Lots of fun for all. About the owner: Hi Everyone. Anne-Marie and Dennis Anderson here. Our cabin was built by Dennis's grandfather in the 1950s and we completely gutted and renovated it in 2004. I am from Michigan and Dennis was born and bred in St. Cloud, MN. His entire family still lives in St. Cloud and Brainerd. He is a third generation builder and we own Jeremiah Johnson Log Homes in Colorado. Dennis and I, along with our three children Miya, 6, Dennis Jr. 3 and Mikayla, 2, have accumulated such wonderful family memories at our cabin. They caught their first fish, frog and turtle right off the grassy point. If you are a cook, we also have apple and cherry trees as well as wild blackberries and grapes abundant for the picking. Unfortunately, we just can't get out to Minnesota as we would like. Our cabin has always been the place where the entire extended family gathers because there is literally something for everyone. Adults can ski, fish, play or just relax and have a romantic weekend. Kids of all ages will play all day long. Our lake is warm with a sandy bottom and a great swimming raft. Pan fish, bass, pike and even walleye can be caught right off the dock. Kids will catch a fish every time they put their worm in the water. Our huge flat grassy lot can accommodate every game you can think of and there are great places to go bike riding. We even have a fishing boat and paddleboat to enjoy. In addition to our lake loving kids, we also have 2 water loving dogs. They will literally play all day long and have even learned to jump off the dock into the lake. If you have dogs, bring them too! I just can't say enough about how much fun we’ve had over the years! It makes me want to move back to Minnesota! We welcome you to experience all of the laughter and fun that we have had at our “tranquility point'.
Why the Owner Chose Annandale:
There are so many reasons we choose to purchase our vacation home in the Annandale area. First, my husband grew up about 20 minutes away in St. Cloud, MN and for years we owned a cabin across the street from this one as well as the vacant lakefront lot adjacent to the cabin. The family still lives nearby and our cabin often hosts everyone.
In addition to being a family reunion destination, we love the fact that our cabin is only 11 miles from St. Cloud and 50 minutes to the cities. Instead of spending all day driving when we get off the plane, it’s a quick trip to our little slice of heaven!
Another great thing about our beach house is the peacefulness. We own over 300’ of lakeshore with a private peninsula and adjacent treed lot. Unlike many touristy lakes in Minnesota, our lake can be very quiet especially during the week. This makes it so nice and gives us the opportunity to see abundant wildlife!
We have an extended family of bald eagles living on the lake. They dive for fish right in front of our dock. We also have a family of about 10 otter that play in the lake all year. I also love to wake up in the mornings to the sounds of our resident loons. There’s nothing like their calming call to wake you up. In addition, we also have our share of beaver, turtles, deer, white pelicans, geese, and ducks as well as an occasional mink and wild turkey
I can’t just say enough about what we love about our cabin. The kids are never bored and everyone who visits finds something that they like to do. In addition to all of the outdoor activities, there are some quaint shops in downtown Annandale that I love to walk through. I’m also big on antiquing and we have one of the best weekly flea markets in the state as well as numerous excellent antique stores nearby.
I could go on about the many local festivals etc. but you get the idea. It’s just plain good family fun!
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage:
There are many benefits about our chain of lakes. One of the things I like best is that half of Lake Louisa is undeveloped park land. When you boat to that side of the lake, you feel as if you are on a private lake. I often take my kids to the “park” for a picnic in the woods. There is a bald eagle’s nest there and the kids can see the baby eaglets.
Our lakes are about 2 miles long and on the opposite end there is a park featuring an old mill and a walkway along the Clearwater River. If you like to fly fish, this is a great area to catch some lunkers.
I’m not a big celebrity person but our lake is unique because Jesse Ventura has a cabin nearby and often boats past our dock in his pontoon. We also have a couple of other celebrity wrestlers that live on the lake so you never know who you are going to run into.
One of our yearly traditions has always been to light fireworks over the lake on the 4th of July. It has become somewhat of a competition and all of the neighbors now try to outdo each other. We could easily drive to Annandale to see the show but we have one just as good or even better right outside.
My husband and I also have a couple of nice customs. We wake up early each morning before the kids get up and sit out at the end of the dock with a hot cup of coffee and just enjoy the splendor. (Although with all the fish jumping, I can’t help but put a lure in the water). At night after the kids are in bed, we always relax outside in front of the campfire. There have been a few times that the northern lights have been out and we would just sit for hours and watch them.
During the day, a couple of my rituals are to kick back in our lakefront hammock with a good book and relax. When my kids discover where I’m at, I take all three of them on the paddleboat and we troll for croppies. (My secret weapon is a gold 1/12 oz Kastmaster lure).
There is so much more but I leave it to you to create your own traditions.
