Property description

Located in the picturesque west side of Victor, Montana, this extremely private 80 acre, end of the road home, with Gash Creek crashing through the property, is a rustic elegant retreat. Featured in many magazines, and at almost 8,000 square feet the home is a reclaimed 1790 Amish barn with an 1880 original Montana Log Cabin attached. If you pictured yourself sitting on the porch in “Legends of the Fall” this home is for you. (see second video link near bottom of page to view video of home)

Four large bedrooms, 2 King and 2 Queen, four bed bunkroom with 3 full baths, three distinct and large family rooms, as well as a billiard room give everyone room to stretch out and find their own peaceful space within the home. There are 3 full sized couches throughout the home with plenty of extra linens for additional sleeping space, and a baby bed, or any other baby necessity is available upon request. For the adventuresome adults or kids in tow, there is nothing like sleeping in the converted late 1800’s Sheepherder’s Wagon, which contains a double bed and wood stove for chili Montana nights.

The gourmet kitchen offers Sub-Zero, Viking 8 top stove, and plenty of space for cooking gourmet meals for a crowd. There is also a 20 x 25 outdoor kitchen, complete with sink, 3 grills, refrigerator, and seating to enjoy outdoor dining. High Speed wireless internet services the entire home, flat screen TV, with a private office located in the 1880’s log cabin. Sit by the firepit and enjoy the crashing creek that runs through the front yard.

A resident Elk herd occupies the property all year round. Moose, deer, and 12 species of large birds, including Eagles and Osprey call the property home. National Forest may be accessed through the rear of the property.

For those who enjoy outdoor adventures, you never need to leave the property. Fly fishing gear, a skeet range, ATV’s, Snowmobiles, Float Boats, and other recreational supplies are here for your enjoyment, and available upon request. The favorite pastime everyone raves about is sitting on the peaceful rustic porch, watching the wildlife across the expansive pasture looking east to the Continental Divide, listening to the wind and enjoying their favorite beverage along with a captivating book from the well stocked library.

This is a private home, completely stocked with everything you could possibly need. A Chef is available for daily cooking or special occasions. Fly fishing guides, horseback riding, hunting guides, kayaking, white water rafting, or any other recreational need can be coordinated upon request.

About the owner: I am a Management Consultant that spends long periods of time out of State with a grueling schedule. Montana is where I come to re-charge. I have owned a home in Montana since 1993. This is a private home with every amenity and more that you can find in your home. I hope you will treat it the same as you treat your home.

The Unique Benefits at this Lodge:
This home is one mile at the end of a road. Nobody can see you, and you can't see anybody except the resident wildlife that is prolific on the property. Fabulous views of Gash Peak to the West, and views of the Sapphire Mountains to the east are unobstructed and soothing. There is a trout stream that runs through the property, as well as a gashing creek and pond located in the front yard. There is plenty of room to stretch out in the large home, offering privacy for every guest, or large common rooms for big crowds. There are all of the 'toys' that an outdoor crowd would want to use: float boats, fishing gear, ATV's, Snow Mobiles, Skeet Range, etc. And for those looking for downtime, the porch always has a cool breeze blowing across it. The rustic nature of the Amish Barn and casual furnishings create a welcome and relaxing atmosphere. The entire home is built using reclaimed barns, cabins, bathrooms, and other unique historical items. The timbers in this home were harvested in the 1790's, and the log cabin that is attached was one of the first homesteading families in Montana. Access to the Stock Farm is an easy drive.
