I can not say enough about our recent stay to the house. House is beautiful with nice furnishings. Enjoy very much stay this home.When we go back to Napa we will stay here longer time i hope.Thank you to owner Jeff . I would highly recommend this home. Home was very clean and well-maintained.

We rented this lovely home over the Thanksgiving holiday; all I can say is WOW! The home is beautiful and very well appointed. No details were left out. The owner was very helpful and answered all our questions. The home is a short drive to downtown Napa and the price was unbeatable compared to surrounding rentals. On our next trip to Napa we will stay there again.

Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This was my and my friend's second visit.We loved it so much she wanted to have a girls trip for her birthday and stay there again. As it was the first time still a stunning stay! The place is gorgeous, very comfortable with lots of wow factors! The location is ideal to Napa and Sonoma and surrounding wine country. If you like to cook, the kitchen is great! There are stores nearby for groceries as well. If you want a great place to eat in Fairfield, highly recommend Manka's. Easy to locate on the computer in the kitchen which is VERY convenient. There's so many great amenities like an Ipod docking station, chef kitchen, gas fireplace,great patio to just sit and soak in the beautiful, again full of wows! Great area to run or walk around if you want to get a little exercise as well. Highly recommend, will go back there myself, maybe since I did the balloon ride there the next outing will be wine and golf with the girls, we are making plans! Enjoy your stay this place gives lots of great memories!

70th Birthday

We were in Napa to celebrate our friend's 70th birthday. The home is lovely,clean & well cared. Our group of six adults enjoyed the outside patio & having our own bathroom/bedroom. Most of our "at home & awake time" was in the family room/kitchen/dining area. Some of our group are great cooks/bakers. The well appointed kitchen/well stocked pantry were enjoyed by all. Clothes washer & dryer are newer technology & user friendly. Neighborhood is clean & quiet with little traffic. Hiking trails are a couple blocks from your front door. Josh was great help when we checked in. Josh oriented us to the house, appliances & surroundings as well as sharing suggestions for great dining. When we return to Napa we will stay here.

Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

A Great Place to Stay!

We stayed at this home for three nights in mid-October. There were 5 in our group and we found it to be the perfect place for us! The home is gorgeous, very clean and well-maintained. It's situated in a beautiful subdivision about 20 minutes away from Napa. The home had so many amenities that made it comfortable: a lovely back patio, a TV room full of DVDs to watch, a kitchen outfitted with every imaginable appliance and kitchen necessity, a computer and printer for our personal use. The bathrooms were stocked with towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and hand soap. Blinds on the smaller bedrooms' windows seemed to be missing, but we managed without them. All in all, I'd highly recommend this property!

House exceeded all expectations. Great location, very clean, well stocked(to include spices, etc.),very spacious and comfortable for 8 adults. House was well located for a day trip into San Francisco, and a day trip, of wine tasting in Napa Valley. Castel Lodi Amorosa, a must see. This was a very pleasent 3 day stay, on our way to Hawaii. Great communication with Jeff/owner, quick return of voided deposit check, a pleasure to work with, and a most affordable rental. Would stay again, and recommend to family and friends(had most of my friends with me).

Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing.

Beautiful home in Napa area was clean and well maintained. It was a perfect fit for our family of all adults. Well equipped and luxurious. It was a little bit of a drive to Napa but we knew that going in. The only two concerns we had were that there were no working curtains/ window coverings in any of the upstairs rooms, and there was an overly friendly neighborhood cat that we suspect had been let into the house due to the allergies we all experienced. It was such a lovely home that we would definitely stay here again.

Owner response: Thank you for your response. The upstairs Master has blinds on all but the rear facing window. A couple of renters ago broke the blinds. They are a custom size and had been ordered. I don't allow pets in the home and have never seen signs of a cat or dog in the home. I am sorry you had your allergies act up. Napa is a "Hot Bed" for pollen. For all of you that have allergies and read this review response, please bring your allergy medications when traveling to the Napa area.

Our Napa Vacation

The house was as described. It was clean, well stocked, quiet, comfortable and in nice neighborhood. We loved the kitchen with all upgraded appliances. Great communication with the owner as he worked with us from the time we showed interest through the completion of our stay. Once we were guided through the house and its functions, we didn't hear from the owner until I called him after our stay. That is the way it is suppose to be. We will revisit this VRBO listing when we travel back to the beautiful Napa area.

Mcmansion way out of town

I had already written a review on the house but since then the property owner has refused to return to the security deposit and has threatened us with a lawsuit. First the house: It’s a McMansion in an anonymous subdivision 30 minutes outside of Napa, in Fairfield, not a “wine country” estate like the title would leave you to believe. Obviously the cost reflects the location but be aware it’s not a pretty little 15 min drive from Napa. It’s a solid 30 minutes on a two-lane highway from suburbia. Huge disappointment. The interior is nice but bland. Mostly garish traditional style furnishing and random pictures of some little girl peppered around the house –kinda creepy. Now onto the matter: We feel that the property owner was dishonest in his dealings with us. He claimed we scratched his hard wood floors by walking on them with rocks in our shoes and withheld our deposit. He refused to give us pictures or proof of damages. If you decide to stay here, buy the rental guarantee in case he tries to pull these tricks on you too…. Oh, and don’t wear your shoes inside.

Owner response: What as an owner can I say. The first review from these people had a 4 star rating. They knocked me down 1 star because I didn't provide them with an iPod docking station and didn't provide them with bath mats next to the soaker tubs. Now since I rightfully kept their damage deposit, they change their rating to 1 star and insult the home. Of all the people I have had rent my home these people were a nightmare. What they failed to mention was that they and their guest got drunk and threw "Party Snaps" at the hardwood floors. A "Party Snap" is a small amount of gun powder and a rock, wrapped in tissue; when thrown at the ground they go off. The marks from the gun powder I was able to polish off. It was the small rocks that they never cleaned up and then ground into the floors. They put at least 100 dents and deep scratches in the hardwood. I did send photos to the Allens. I have an email were he tells me what "he" thinks the damage should be, and how I should fix it. They did way more then their damage deposit would cover. It is people like these that cause homeowners to stop renting their homes, raise their rates and increase their deposit amounts. Please read all my reviews and you will get an idea of the validity of these renters comments.

The house was very nice, comfortable, very clean, fully equiped kitchen with spices and cooking utinsels, very comfortable beds, beautiful views, can't think of a thing i didn't like about it! We were all so pleased.. There was a grocery store locally were we bought food to cook. Everything, right down to the water pressure in the showers was fantastic!!

Our family converged in Green Valley for a long weekend and we enjoyed 2 days of wine tasting. This home is beautiful and elegantly decorated, and its very comfortable for a getaway weekend. Very close and easily accessible to Napa and Sonoma areas (20-25 min drive). The pictures do not give the house enough credit. Upon check-in you realize how big, spacious and how nice the home really is. Would recommend to any other family or friends. Thanks to the owner for the great communication before-and-after check in.

Ditto...the other reviewers said it all, but we agree. We had 3 couples spending a long weekend to go to wine country. We didn't spend a ton of time at the house, but it was more than comfortable and beautiful to come "home" to each night. Everything about the description was true, the photos don't do it justice and it was clean and inviting. The owner was very helpful and hospitable. We would highly recomend this property, we loved it! Thanks!

Couples Weekend in NAPA!!!

This home was AMAZING!! Seriously, the pictures do not do it justice. The floor plan is spacious and the interior comfy. There are two master suites and two other bedrooms that were perfectly decorated. The owner had everything we needed from eye make-up remover to a coffee maker. Each of us felt right at home and we will definitely return!

Seven of us stayed there in late October 2011 (two couples and three singles). The home is even more beautiful, comfortable and elegant than the photos show. Sooo much better than staying in a hotel! Jeff, the owner, was extremely nice and helpful with suggestions about golfing and places to eat. Our only small issue is that two of the bedrooms only have double beds, which was a bit uncomfortable for two people. Overall, our trip was so much fun, we're planning on making it an annual excursion, and the house will be a key component.

Girls Napa Weekend! A Win!

We were very much looking for a house to rent for our girls Napa weekend and we searched long and hard and came across this property and the search was over. The pictures online are nice and sold us on the house, but the home in person is fantastic and lovely. Very clean, welcoming, comfortable and gorgeous.4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms was perfect for 5 girls. We loved the everything about the home. The kitchen and family room was where we spent most of our time and was perfect entertaining. The owner was great and answered all our questions either on the phone or via email. His son met us at the house on the day of our arrival and gave us a tour and answered any questions we had. If we are ever back in Napa, this is absolutely where we will stay.

Our family attended a wedding in Napa and chose this property for a long weekend stay. Everything was perfect! The accomodations were amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed the gourmet kitchen and spent most of our time gathered around the kitchen/breakfast area. The neighborhood was very quiet with easy access to shopping, Napa and the freeway. We found a great hiking trail about 6 minutes from the house. Jeff, the owner was extremely accomodating and easy to work with. We're now looking for another excuse to go back as it was very difficult to leave! This property is highly recommended.

Great Girls weekend in wine country!

What an absolutely great place to come to when you land and about to embark on your girls 5 day weekend. The pics are as good but when you enter it has even more of a wow factor. The backyard is beautiful to sit out in and take in the garden and beautiful view. I am our resident pseudo chef and I loved the kitchen and we had every evening in as it was great to work in. The place was clean and very comfortable. A couple of us are runners and found great running that the owner told us about as well as some new places to explore, great flowers and nature abound! There were places to shop and eat nearby, we however spent our days in the Napa and Sonoma wine country and you can read my blog, foodiefitness net to see some fun places to eat and visit there as it is a really short trek up. Highly recommended, we will be back! Ask the owner for local plum tidbits, he was very helpful!

Perfect Getaway

My husband and I with 3 other couples stayed at the house for a week. Everything that is pictured is even better in person. Everything was beautifully set up and ready for us when we got there. The owner was really nice and helped with whatever we needed. The location was really close to downtown Napa. I would definitely recommend this property to other people.

The owner was very polite and accommodating. When we got to the location we were greeted nicely by an attendant and was given a tour of the home. The kitchen was warm and inviting, as well as the two living rooms. The interior was very artistically designed. The two masters had wonderful bathrooms and even separate vanity mirrors, which is always a plus! The drive to downtown Napa varied depending on traffic conditions and weather. But it never took us longer than 20 minutes. We were all very pleased with our stay at this vacation home!
