Sugar Beach is a beautifully decorated, recently remodeled home in the gated community of LaValencia on the desirable west end of Panama City Beach. This home has 4 bedrooms, a bunk area, & 3 bathrooms spread among three floors. The main living area is on the first floor, which includes a comfortable living room with a 42' flat screen LCD TV with a blu ray player, a dining room table that seats 10 (We have two additional stools, which would allow you to expand seating to 12 for special occasions.), and a gourmet kitchen with all the conveniences of home, including a cappuccino machine!
There is a spacious second master suite on the first floor with a king bed and private patio with a view toward the beach. This is ideal for those who prefer not to climb the stairs. The master suite, kids' bunk area and a second queen guest bedroom are on the second floor. The master suite has a king bed, private bath and a balcony with a view of the beachside pool and Gulf. The guest bathroom is a Jack & Jill bath that serves the guest bedroom, bunk area and third floor room. The third floor bedroom has a queen bed and private balcony. The views from the third floor balcony are fantastic!
Sugar Beach is just minutes from Pier Park to the east and Rosemary Beach, WaterColor & Seaside to the west. We are in a great location on the desirable quiet west end of Panama City Beach. There are two grocery stores less than a mile from the house. The Sunnyside Grill, a quaint local favorite, is just a one minute walk away. It is famous for its southern charm and country breakfasts and we can attest that you won't leave hungry.
If you are a golf enthusiast, there are multiple golfing opportunities within minutes of Sugar Beach. Camp Creek is just across the Walton County line a few miles to the west. In Panama City Beach there are several choices at various price points and levels of difficulty including the Nicklaus designed course at Bay Point, The Hombre, Holiday Club and Signal Hill.
If you enjoy shopping, Pier Park, which is just 5 miles to the east of Sugar Beach, is a perfect starting point with several large department stores and multiple specialty shops. There are also many restaurants, sweet shops and a 16 theater cinema at Pier Park. Another option is the Silver Sands outlet mall, which is about 25 miles to the west on Hwy 98.
Whatever you enjoy on vacation, you can be there in minutes from Sugar Beach. If you are looking for a comfortable & safe place to take your family for a beach vacation, Sugar Beach is the place. Our stay at Sugar Beach was beyond perfect. The house was beautiful and in wonderful condition and provided all of the necessary amenities. The location was wonderful, right across from the beach and far enough away from the main drag of spring break.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

The home was very comfortable. Loved the view and the private beach access. Close to grocery stores, restaurants (even though we cooked in almost every night), and Pier Park. We liked how the house is on the West side of Panama City Beach. We went bike riding through Alys Beach to Watercolor. Beautiful! The house was in a great gated neighborhood. A bit smaller than I thought. The kitchen was lacking in cookware. Overall was comfortable and close to the beach. Nice decks overlooking Gulf...comfortable beds. Only real negative was day one I called and told them the icemaker was not working....frost all in the freezer. We were told they would send soneone to fix the problem, but never did. We had to make an ice run every morning we were there!Recommended for: Families with young children.

This house was great! Exactly what we were looking for. Very spacious and well equipped. The neighborhood was very exclusive. It's a bit far from the action but would be great for a family. Will rent again!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We had a wonderful week at Sugar Beach. The home is conveniently located on Front Beach Road. We had several teenagers for Spring Break and the house was very comfortable, giving everyone adequate space. We would rent here again. Lovely home, conveniently located.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We enjoyed our stay at sugar beach very much. We were in contact with tom while we were down there and he was both helpful and accommodating. Also, before our trip his office supplied me with a list of area activities upon my request. As you are booking for spring break, and as a former spring breaker, I should tell you that this is on the far west end of pcb and thus not walkable to downtown. It was such a wonderful time no words can really describe... you have to see it to believe it.. truly a beautifully furnishes home with all amenities and the sugar white beaches with a pool on the beach ... amazing.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

About the owner: My business partner and I are Ophthalmologists in the Thomasville, Georgia area. In our free time we love the beach and enjoy planning our return trips to Sugar Beach. We have traveled the world and have not found a beach we enjoy more than the sugar white beaches of the Florida Panhandle.
Why the Owner Chose La Valencia Beach:
We bought Sugar Beach because of its location and the amenities of LaValencia. We really liked the idea of a gated community and we were sold on the beachside pool and clubhouse. There are times when we enjoy being in the middle of all the activity but when we are ready to relax at the house we appreciate the relative peacefullness of the west end. We would much rather hear the sound of the waves rolling onto the beach than the sounds of the party cruising the beach, which is common on the east end of the Miracle Strip. If you agree, Sugar Beach is for you.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Our main attraction is the beach and the beachside pool and clubhouse, which are directly across the street from our house. We are so close that it is not an inconvenience if we forget something or have to walk back to the house for any reason. The beach club and pool are private for LaValencia owners and guests so we don't have to worry about it being overly crowded.
When we are not at the beach we enjoy riding our bikes along the 30-A bike path, which starts just on the other side of the Phillips Inlet Bridge just a four minute drive from our house. We park at Barrett Square in Rosemary Beach, rent the bikes right there and cruise toward WaterColor and Seaside. The bike rentals are surprisingly reasonable. We combine exercise with siteseeing and always feel energized and relaxed after a cruise along 30-A. When we finish we stop by the coffee shop for an iced coffee and snack. Sometimes we treat ourselves at the Sugar Shak, knowing we burned just enought calories to warrant a treat.
In recent years we have also enjoyed our visits to Pier Park. On Thursday eveinings in the summer we take in a free concert in the park amphitheatre. Afterward we enjoy walking around Pier Park. We also enjoy going to the movies at The Grand Theatre.
