Salem house description
Enjoy both Lake Keowee and mountain views from this beautiful home featuring 3 floors of living space (with elevator to all levels). The main floor features a family room with stone fireplace and 52" plasma television, full kitchen with high end stainless steel appliances and stone counters; powder room, indoor dining for 8 and outside dining area for 6. There are two full balconies on this level, each featuring sitting areas with rocking chairs and the back balcony has a gas grill and outdoor dining. The front balcony looks over beautiful Lake Keowee, while the back balcony offers view of both the mountains (don't miss the mountain sunsets) and Lake Keowee.
The top level offers a spacious master with king bed, sitting area with 32" television and fireplace. That level has a private balcony off the master bedroom for star gazing and/or relaxation.
The master bath on that level features a two person jacuzzi tub, double sinks with vanity area, walk-in shower and walk-in closet. There is a spare room/office on that floor for additional sleeping area if required (inflatable queen bed tucked into window seats). A washer and dryer is located on that level.
The lowest floor offers three bedrooms and two full baths. An additional master is located on this floor with a king bed and adjacent full bath, a balcony is located off that bedroom overlooking Lake Keowee. Two bedrooms featuring twin (trundle) beds are also located on this floor connected by a jack-and-jill bath offering two sinks, vanity area, and separate toilet/walk-in shower area. An additional washer/dryer is located on this level too for convenience.
The house features a two-car garage as well as a circular drive for plenty of off-street parking.
You will enjoy views of the mountains and/or Lake Keowee from every room in this house. This home is located in a gated private community that offers 24 hour security. Boating on either Lake Keowee or Lake Jocasee is only minutes away. Hiking is a popular activity, as the area has more than 50 waterfalls (including one in the community itself) and nearby multiple state parks offer scenic trails. In addition to enjoying beautiful views, this home allows you to fully relax and unwind in a quiet tranquil setting.
Boats can be rented from the Jocassee Outdoor Center and because the home is located close to both Lake Jocassee and Lake Keowee, you will have the option to explore both. Kayaks and canoes are also available for rental. Community docks allow you the option of keeping a boat available throughout your stay.
When the sun goes down, enjoy our video library, playing ninetendo or a board game. Everything you need for family fun is at your finger tips.
IThe Market at Keowee Towne is located just outside the front gates of the community and offers a full grocery store as well as a very good cafe. Venture up to Aunt Sue's (located on Hwy 11 just north of Table Rock State Park) for ice cream, a family friendly southern restaurant and several unique shops (even a sing along on the front porch).
A must see is Whitewater Falls, located only 15 miles away and the largest waterfall east of the Mississippi. Nearby Cashiers and Highlands, North Carolina are quaint and picturesque mountain towns with unique shopping and several top restaurants. Clemson University is approximately 30 miles away (geat location for Clemson football gatherings), and Greenville, SC (offering a gorgeous downtown park and trails) is located approximately 45 miles away. Asheville, Atlanta and Charlotte are all located approximately two hours away. Take a day trip along the Blue Ridge Parkway, which is especially beautiful in the spring and fall.

We had a wonderful stay at Lake Keowee in your house. The house was beautiful; the mattresses comfortable. Especially enjoyed having the beds made before we got there :) The lake is pristine and we rented a boat and enjoyed the mtn views from the boat. We will come again.

I recently stayed here with my wife, 2 kids and aunt. It is a wonderfully huge home conveniently located near both Lake Keowee and Jocasse. We had a birthday party for my daughter and her great grandmother (same b-day). The elevator really helped the great grandparents get around without problems. The decks were a great place to relax. The neighborhood is quiet. Thanks again.

We rented this house for the weekend after Thanksgiving! Drank my coffee rocking in the front porch chairs and watched the beautiful sunrise! We had 3 other couples with us and had PLENTY of room! The elevator made luggage and groceries a breeze! The photos do not do this house justice. Great amenities! I cannot wait to rent this beautiful house again.

We spent a month in this lovely home. It is well appointed and very comfortable. The three bedrooms on a seperate level make it ideal for hosting guests. We liked it so well we have set up an additional rental for late summer...need I say more.

We had a lovely time at the home. We visited in December and did a lot of hiking around the Cashier's and Highlands areas. Lovely, peaceful, and very relaxing.

Great For Clemson Visits!
Great For Clemson Visits!
We recently stayed here for our son's graduation from Clemson and wish we had used it for football weekends. It's a big house that comfortably holds a crowd. Clean, roomy, and remote! It takes about 35 minutes to get there from Clemson so pack all your groceries. We would love to come back next year on a football weekend. Thanks for having us.

We Will Return!!!!
This house is truly everything that the owner advertises. Clean, well stocked and furnished and the views go on forever. It is hard to pull yourself inside and leave the rocking chairs on the porch. We found everything to be as pictured and look forward to returning in early summer to enjoy the lake more. I also anticipate a later rental to include the children and grandchildren. This place will please all ages and offer privacy for larger groups. The elevator makes moving luggage a breeze. Thank you.

About the owner: We are a family with 2 older teenagers, one dog and two cats that live in the northern suburbs of Atlanta. We enjoy boating, golfing, tennis, and hiking, but most of all we love this house for the quality family time we enjoy when we are there.
Why the Owner Chose Salem:
We fell in love with the tranquility and beauty of the upcountry area of South Carolina. As that area is located with two hours of our residence, we built this home as a weekend retreat. The community that the house is located in offers multiple golf courses, tennis, pool, marina and equestrian facilities.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
While there are many things we love to do while visiting this home, probably the activity we enjoy the most is boating on either Lake Keowee or Lake Jocasee. Both lakes are picturesque with mountains surrounding them and waterfalls along the shores. We also love hiking, especially discovering the multitude of waterfalls in this area. If you get tired of hiking the equestion center offers another way to explore the area. The Market at Keowee Towne is located just outside the front gates of the community and offers a full grocery store as well as a very good cafe. Venture up to Aunt Sue's (located on Hwy 11 just north of Table Rock State Park) for ice cream, a family friendly southern restaurant and several unique shops (even a sing along on the front porch). You have to see Whitewater Falls, located only 15 miles away and the largest waterfall east of the Mississippi. Nearby Cashiers and Highlands, North Carolina are quaint and picturesque mountain towns with unique shopping and several top restaurants. Clemson University is approximately 30 miles away, and Greenville, SC (offering a gorgeous downtown park and trails) is located approximately 45 miles away. For Clemson fans, this house offers a getaway close enough to enjoy the game and all pregame activites, but away from the crowds and noise once the game is over.
