Fort Causeway Farm - Attention Hunters Best Big Horn Base Camp
- Minimum stay:N/A
- Internet:Yes
- Pets allowed:Yes
- Wheel chair accessible:No
We have lived out west in Wyoming for only 4 years, and aspire to grow our 80 acres of flood irrigated farmland into a profitable family farm. We endeavor to do all the work with draft horses. To date we have 4 draft horses and 4 saddle horses on site. Agritourism options have become part of our plan to make this dream feasible, as we transition from construction into farming. Basically, we invite those interested to be witness to our farm activities as we try to live and grow our farm, and help those who come to Big Horn County to enjoy their vacation the best we can.
Our sustainable methods construction business has been our forte in the past, and the Fort was completed in 2010 built with insulating concrete forms, concrete rooftop patios, geothermal heating and cooling, radiant floor heating, and spray foam ceiling insulation.
The 3 bedroom, full bath, full kitchen, laundry on the upper level of the Fort, opening to the tower and a 4000 sq. ft. concrete rooftop patio, is showcased in this VRBO listing.
We are family friendly with child's beds available and an outdoor playset, and welcome your pets and horses. Dogs must be leashed at all times.
We have a large heated shop if you need to work on your ATV's or snowmobiles.
Many area attractions within 25 miles include Big Horn Mountains hiking and camping, Snowmobiling, Big Horn Lake activities, Devils Canyon, Pryor Mountain horse range, Porcupine Falls, Bucking Mule Falls, Medicine Wheel and more. Many in the area are proud to say that the beauty and splendour of the area rivals Yellowstone, without the crowds. There are many daylight activities to enjoy for little more than the cost of fuel to get there. Or just hang out on the concrete roof and watch or join in working horses on the farm. We also train horses, and teamsters on site.
We are 60 miles to Cody, and 80 miles to the east gate of Yellowstone.
Thanks for the opportunity to have our vacation rental option reviewed by you!
