The Chalet Fortuna was built in 2006 with a very high standard. It is in a central and quiet location of Wengen, 5-7 minutes walk from the main railway station, the village centre and the Maennlichen cable car.
The apartment has a garden and terrace dining area with plenty of space for entertaining, BBQ or relaxing moments while enjoying magnificent views of the Jungfrau, Silberhorn, Breithorn and the other mountains of the Lauterbrunnen valley.
The bright and spacious apartment is stylishly furnished, has 2 bedrooms and an open-plan living, kitchen and dining room. The total area amounts to approx. 78 m2.
The main bedroom has an ensuite (including bathtub,shower,vanity, toilet). The second bedroom is furnished with a single bed and double bunk and has an ensuite (shower, vanity, toilet).
The open-plan living, kitchen and dining room has all comforts.The living area, furnished with a sofa bed, allows you to enjoy relaxing moments while overlooking the mountain scenery. The moderne kitchen is part of the living room and well equipped includes fondue and raclette dishes wich invite you to try the Swiss traditional cheese meals.
Wengen lies on a wind protected terrace overlooking the Lauterbrunnen valley and is at the foot of the Jungfrau, one of the world famous mountain range, the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau.
Wengen has a lot to offer, with a variety of exceptional hiking tracks, 30 km around the villlage and over 500 km of well sign posted trails in the Jungfrau region for all levels.
Numerous alpine railways will take you to the start of a wonderful hikes and stunning vantage points.
At the heart of Switzerland, Wengen is ideal for setting out on unforgettable trips, such as to the Männlichen, the Jungfraujoch, -Europe`s highest railway station (3454m), or the Schilthorn with Piz Gloria (2970m) the highest revolving restaurant made famous by the James Bond movie.
Wengen and its neighbouring areas have a wide range of sporting facilities. These include tennis courts, a mini golf course and a outdoor heated pool, to name a few.

Year Purchased: 2009
About the owner: We are a Swiss family with 3 children who live in Berne. We all love wengen with its beautiful mountain surroundings to enjoy going skiing, hiking, biking, climbing or playing in little mountain streams and we get great pleasure in building a fire and having a barbeque. We would like other people to have the opportunity to come and enjoy the beautiful environment and unique place to stay.
