- Minimum stay:Contact manager
- Internet:Yes
- Pets allowed:No
- Wheel chair accessible:No
Greet each morning by collecting shells on your own gorgeous island beach. In the evening, gaze over lush gardens to the Gulf of Mexico as you toast the sunset. Your condo is a corner unit on a raised first floor (above the garages), so you’ll have complete privacy with no foot traffic going past your door. This charming smoke-free condo has new appliances, big screen HD TV, DVD, stereo with an i-Pod port, Wi-Fi, washer/dryer and AC. The master bedroom features a king size bed, full bathroom, walk-in closet and a TV. The second bedroom has two twin beds and a private entrance to the condo bathroom.
The shelling is unparalleled on Gasparilla Island, and your beach is never crowded. You’ll be surrounded by bird life, sand dunes and sea oats as the sound of the surf recharges your batteries. Boca Grande is a laid back, old-Florida community in the Gulf of Mexico. There are no high-rise buildings, fast food restaurants, malls, or stoplights. But the island has all the amenities you’ll need; restaurants, grocery stores, art galleries, bike/golf-cart rentals, quaint shops, a hardware store and paved paths for your bike or golf cart. You’ll be enchanted driving through the tunnel of banyan trees as you explore the time capsule town of Boca Grande.
Your accommodations feature a screened-in porch with lovely, faux wicker table and chairs, where you'll overlook exotic, tropical foliage and enjoy the sound of the surf with your breakfast. Adjacent to this lanai is an open sun deck. Your kitchen and dining room contains everything you’ll need, whether your menu is wine and pizza or a five-course dinner.
Sea Oats Condos offer a lavish garden and courtyard with pool, hot tub, grills, chaise lounges, and two tennis courts right out your door. It is common to see anoles/chameleons, tortoises and exotic bird-life as you take your short stroll through the garden to the pool or beach.
Yes, you can leave your problems on shore when you cross over the bridge to your island paradise!

We had a wonderful time at the Cozy Corner. The view from the Lanai made us feel like we were in Hawaii. The elevator made it easy to move in and bring in groceries. The unit was clean and spacious. We ate at Patick's, sailed to Useppa Island on Boca Boats and had a wonderful lunch at the Collier Inn. The BBQ area at the condo was so lovely that we ate most of our meals on the Lanai. The BEST part of our visit were the other owners and guests....they were truly welcoming and made sure we had a great time. We would love to come back next year for 3 weeks.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, adventure seekers, people with disabilities.

We spent 8 days at this condo in early January. Although the weather was chilly (in the 50s) the first few days, the rest of our time was perfect--mid 70s. The condo itself was lovely. The furniture was comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. We especially appreciated the square footage (1400 according to floorplan provided by rental manager) since our previous experience with FL condos included some very small spaces. The landscaping was lush and beautiful and provided a tranquil setting even though the view of the gulf was somewhat limited by same landscaping. We LOVED Boca Grande. The village was charming and exuded the essence of "old Florida." We just missed being there at the same time as the Bush family, who had left right before we arrived. This is definitely a luxury location with many of the homes valued in the millions, but the atmosphere was friendly and casual. The only drawback was that we were quite a distance to anywhere else--our trip to see a friend in Ft. Myers took 1 1/2 hours. Also there was a $5 toll to cross the bridge to get to the island. There was plenty to do on the island, however. The beach was great. The pool was large and heated. There was plenty of opportunity for sightseeing and shopping. We took a cruise to Useppa Island with Boca Boats, which was a lot of fun. My husband finshed from one ot the local piers while I read on the large deck at the condo. We would definitely return to this location and the condo was everything we could have asked for--there was even an extra table in the great room where we set up our vacation "offices." sRecommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+.

Our family has vacationed in this condo on the quaint island of Gasparilla for the last two years. The condo is the perfect size for 6 people (we stayed with 4 adults and 2 children). There are two private bedrooms, each connected to their own bath. The living and dining areas are spacious. The kitchen is tiny, but suits you well for vacation-mode meal preparation! The balcony is bigger than many in the complex, probably because it's an end unit and on the first floor. The island itself is sublime. Lazy old-world Florida at it's finest! Enjoy shelling, swimming, strolling, reading, biking and shopping by day. Evenings can be filled with dining at the local restaurants, sunset cruises (dolphin spotting at it's finest), playing games and catching a breath-taking sunset. If you're looking for a place to relax, unwind and reconnect as a family, this is the place to be! Tips: (1) grocery shop on the mainland before heading to the island (including sunscreen) as island prices are steep! (2) reserve your sunset cruise early in the week. (3) plan on plenty of grilling! (4) lobster rolls at the deli in downtown Boca Grande are to die for - save a couple of lunches for this! Don't miss out on this opportunity - you won't be disappointed!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

Year Purchased: 1984
About: I'm Jan Stroup and my parents and aunt and uncle originally purchased this condo in 1984. We've had many good times here over the years, and I'm so happy my wife and I were able to buy it in 2007. We have done several renovations, but have left a little of the vintage old Florida charm here too. My family loves the shelling and bird watching on Boca Grande. There are many reference books at the condo for identifying shells and birds, if you are interested. We are also avid readers and have a large, wonderful library there, so if you're a reader, you'll probably find something you're going to like on the shelf. I have an unusual combination of jobs; I am a community banker and a guitar player. These are two jobs that seldom share the same sentence, but I feel lucky to have two such interesting and challenging jobs, and I love 'em both. I live in Minneapolis with my wife who is a teacher, our teenage son and our dog,Ivy. Every time we come to our condo, we find new things to do. We always love kayaking with a little picnic lunch over to nearby Bird Island. We have seen a number of manatees and dolphins in the area. The Englewood, Sarasota, Port Charlotte area offers just about anything we would like to do. There are many wild-life sanctuaries in the area that we enjoy. We enjoy an occasional all-day trip to Orlando as well. We also enjoy spending much of our time on the beach and just hanging out. I hope you get the same relaxed feel from our condo that we do.
Why Boca Grande:
My parents and aunt and uncle owned it, so I knew it was a great place in a great location, with everything we wanted. I am happy that we can keep adding memories to this legacy.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
We particularly enjoy the break this island offers from a hectic pace; with fewer people and more privacy--even during spring break the beaches are not crowded. We love and appreciate the opportunities to enjoy the ocean and the island flora and wild-life.
