A fully renovated, single family home with garage in short walking distance from Union Square and All San Francisco attractions.
We’re not talking a short drive from all that San Francisco has to offer; we’re talking a short walk! Just a couple of blocks from Union Square and around the corner from the beautiful Clift Hotel, this is practically the only single family home in the neighborhood. A 15 minute stroll to Moscone Center.
What’s more: It’s undergone a recent (2011!) renovation to provide the most stylish, up-to-date accommodations available. With Restoration Hardware colors and brand new beds including a Cal king, queen, two twins, a queen size sofa bed in living room along with a large sofa. A tub for soaking away those city days, up to 8 people can call this their comfy sanctuary.
Enjoy staying in and cooking from the local farmers market while watching a movie on one of two brand new flat screens, or take it out on the streets to the innumerable and diverse array of goings-ons for diners and doers - literally just steps from you.
From the MOMA to the Metreon to the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts and the theatre district and China Town, with shopping and art galleries abounding, yoga studios, spas and gyms - everything you could imagine is at your fingertips. Take a stroll to the Cable Cars running to Telegraph Hill, Ghirardelli Square, Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39. Don’t feel like walking a block? The highly-acclaimed Millenium restaurant is ten steps away, and if that’s too far, the new Jones Restaurant and Bar is only seven. And the Redwood Room for those times you just need a cocktail in some swanky lighting.
For you business folks, enjoy close proximity to the Moscone Convention Center and the Financial Distict.
The remodeled kitchen with newly-tiled travertine floors and granite countertops comes fully equipped for gourmet cooking and includes a range, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, blender and an outdoor seating area with a barbecue. Enjoy the comforts of a washer/dryer, wireless internet, cable TV, DVD/CD player, hairdryer, and iron/board – everything brand new.

This place was over-the-top fantastic, far exceeding my already very high expectations. Frankly, I don't see how it could be any better. The location was plenty convenient to the Moscone Center where I and others in our group attended a conference, and it is literally surrounded by great restaurants, easy public transportation, and every kind of shopping you can imagine. And.....just a few blocks off of Union Square--fantastic!! As mentioned in the property description, It has just been completely remodeled and to an incredible high standard--marble bathrooms, beautiful rock kitchen counter tops, stainless appliances, hardwood floors, and really, really comfortable furniture, especially the beds. It comes stocked with most common condiments and a complementary bottle of excellent wine was there to greet us. We liked it so much, we've already booked it for the same conference next year!!! JUST WONDERFUL!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

The house was a delight. Furnishings are of good quality and in good taste. It was great to cook meals for friends in the kitchen. We were between 3 and 6 and had plenty of space. Bedrooms in back more quiet than one in front. Well located close to Union Square, Moscone Center, and Nob Hill. A splendid and welcoming place to return after roaming the city.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

611 jones street is a fantastic rental house. the house is even bigger than it appears in pictures. The house owners have covered all the bases to have the house prepared for your visit. The decor is beautiful, furniture is high quality and comfortable. Everything worked as it should and it was just a gorgeous house to spend a week in. Our only issue was the area (which obvously the owners can do nothing about). We found it to be a little distressing with the amount of homelessness and general roughness. we were never bothered, but there were people hanging out on the front step of the rental almost every night and the girls on the trip never went outside without the boys. It is not a neighborhood that we felt comfortable walking around. Depending on where you are from you may not be bothered by it. We are from a medium sized city in Canada. But again, the house was awesome, the owners sense of pride and attention to detail made it a great rental stay. if the house moved to a new location we would definitely stay again.Owner response: It is a well known fact that San Francisco has a homeless issue which no politician wants to deal with it drastically since it becomes a hot political potato. On the other hand we have learned to live and we should live with all the other people around us including the homeless and the mentally disturbed that refuse to get the help the city provides to them. The Union Square area due to its proximity to the Tenderloin and the amount of tourists who are willing to help with some change, has become a place for some homeless to hang out. They are not aggressive or dangerous. They look badly and smell worst but they only hassle people for a couple of quarters. If you are going to visit San Francisco, go to Union Square, go to Moscone Center for a convention or stay at the Hilton or the Sir Francis Hotels you are going to be surrounded by all kinds of people including some homeless. 611 Jones is in the same area and has the same crowds. The house provides shelter due the fact that there is a step and the front door is three feet away allowing people to sit down and hang out there away from the rain and the cold. To change this situation we have just ordered a metal/iron gate which will prevent anybody from sitting in that area by the front door. We can not move the house but this will help big time. Please keep in mind that this is the ONLY single family home left in that area and dealing with a few unfortunate people is a small price to pay for the product that you get and its proximity to best San Fran has to offer. All are guests are ecstatic to have discovered 611 Jones St. and many are back already.

This vacation rental was amazing. The owner was extremely helpful. He picked us up at the airport and drove us to the house. He gave us a small tour of the city along the way. The house was clean, large and everything we could have asked for. Walking distance to many attractions. We will definitely stay here again next time the our family meets on the west coast.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

I stayed at this property recently while in San Fran for a conference at the Moscone Center. I had a very pleasant 15 minute walk to and from the convention each morning and afternoon. I quickly learned to avoid one particular street (don't remember which one) during my "commute" as it contained some type of public service building for the homeless. I never felt unsafe or threatened, and no one ever approached me for a hand out, but i preferred to avoid that location nonetheless. The property itself was wonderful. We stayed with my parents and my 3 month old daughter. All were perfectly comfortable and the accomodations for my baby were excellent. I will certainly stay there again if my travels take me back to San Fran.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, tourists without a car.

location was great, just a few blocks from Union Sq. apartment is as beautiful as it looks in the photos. very clean, spacious and comfortable. fully-equipped kitchen, probably better than what i have at home! hot water works, no complaints at all. wifi works. full TV channels. all in all, i'd definitely stay here again if i had a similar-sized group. some things people should definitely know though: it's on the fringe of Tendernob so you do see some sketchy characters esp at night, but no worries at all on safety. not so good that there's a bar across the street so it's pretty loud at night over the weekend. garage is small -- could not fit in my Chevy Impala so had to park in a garage. my bed wasn't very comfortable (cheap spring mattress) but not sure about the other beds in the apartment. only two bathrooms, so some coordination required esp for big groups. but all things considered, this is a really good choice to stay at.Did you find this review helpful? This was the perfect home base for our stay in San Francisco. As a family of five with adult size children, we take up two rooms in a hotel, and even then things get cramped and people get crabby. This charming house offers plenty of sleeping and living space for a family or group. There is a comfortable living area with room for everyone to relax and visit. The wonderfully equipped kitchen made it easy to fix breakfast and lunch so that we could splurge on dinners, and the dining room is perfect for family meals and snacks, or maps and paperwork. Once you have experienced the famous SF cable cars, you won't need another form of transportation to explore downtown San Francisco. We walked to Ghirardelli Square, Maritime Pier and Fisherman's Wharf, Chinatown, Jackson Square, Union Square, and to the Farmer's Market in the Ferry Building. Shoppers beware: Union Square is so close that you can easily return again and again. The central location also made it easy for family members to strike out on their own explorations. We made good use of the laundry facilities, and having a parking spot in the busy, expensive downtown area is practically priceless. We definitely recommend this rental property!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

GREAT LOCATION!!! We absolutely loved our week in your beautiful home. After sightseeing all day we looked forward to coming back to your comfortable house. It is large enough that everyone could have their own space or congregate in the dining or living room. Your suggestions of Dottie's for breakfast or Osha for Thai food were great. We walked to Union Square, Chinatown and the cable cars. You have a great attention to detail as the house is beautifully decorated and well equipped with everything you could need. Thank you again!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, people with disabilities, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners.
