The Lewis and Clark Caverns is a 45 minute drive away. Hyalite Lake is a 45 minute drive. 'Mystic Lake' 'Bear Creek' Walking Trails are just up the road.
Our five bedroom, two bath, ranch home, is newly remodeled, and outfitted with everything that you will need for a vacation experience that you will never forget. We boast 2,400 square feet of Western Hospitality. Our kitchen and expansive dining room table will seat your entire family. Two slate rock fireplaces, leather sofas, Western, Wildlife and Native American decor take you to another time, reflecting the herritage of this Montana Territory.
We have been in the vacation rental business since 2002, with two other properties, Bear Creek Log Cabin in Bozeman, and, Cottage by-the-lake in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, and, we know how to treat our guests and many return to visit, year after year. Please visit our 'review' sections for these rentals.
Bedrooms are well appointed, high quality (brand new) mattresses, luxury bed and bath linnens, for a great nights sleep. We have used log and barwood materials in our furniture; art work, and amenities blend together to give you a comfortable 'at home' feeling.
Our furnished covered dining patio out back, and the gas grill, will be the evening focal point of your intimate or larger family gatherings while you watch the wildlife; deer, elk, wild turkeys, eagles (Golden and Bald Eagles), moose in the back yard.
The Ranch overlooks a working black angus ranch; if you are lucky, you may witness the bi-annual cattle drive up Bear Canyon Road to and from the Gallatin National Forest.
The kitchen at Bear Creek Ranch Home makes us proud; all new fine dishes, silverware, cookware in our sparkling clean and well stocked with the things like spices, cork screws, etc.. that you will need to make the most simple or the most elaborate meal.
The lower level has its own 'Family Entertainment Room' with a large comfy sectional, wide screen TV, and its own oak table and chairs for playing cards and board games by the fireplace.
The upper, main level has the master suite with king bed, plenty of closet space, and its own sitting area for reading or napping.
Another, smaller bedroom is on the main floor, outfitted with a log frame bunk bed and plenty of storage also. The lower bunk has a special comfy mattress in case you ring your mother or grandmother along and they need a great room on the main floor.
The lower level (NOT a basement) has three bedrooms, two are larger ones with one queen sized bed in each. The third bedroom has log bunk beds like the ones on the main level.
We can't wait to finish the remodel, so that we can take and post pictures of the interior of the home. If you want to see the quality and style that we use in our vacation rental homes, please visit
our other VRBO listings, Bear Creek Log Cabin in Bozeman, Montana, and, Cottage by-the-lake in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
Our Grand Opening of this fine vacation rental home will be April 1, 2011. We are now taking reservations for your next trip to Bozeman.

Fantastic Vacation Rental
Fantastic Vacation Rental
Bear Creek Ranch Home VRBO pictures are completely accurate. The house was superbly clean, well-maintained and totally organized with fantastic decor throughout. Can't help but mention the ever so comfortable king size bed, the great layout of the fully equipped kitchen and such great views of the Montana sky and pastoral setting right out the expansive windows of the living room. The covered patio was also fantastic with the exceptional BBQ grill and table/chair area providing many relaxing cook-outs and sit-outs during the day plus night time counting the stars. The yard layout was perfect for ball throwing for our dog and the picnic table area provided beautiful views of gorgeous sunsets. The 2 car garage was also a plus for coming/going/loading/unloading. We had a great stay with fly fishing adventures on the Gallatin, Madison and Hyalite areas on our many day trips, plus reading, visiting friends and enjoying the cooler mountain air. We also enjoyed meeting Jim and Marie and appreciate that their Bear Creek Ranch home was a wonderful vacation experience for us.

True Western Hospitality
True Western Hospitality
A truly quality property to enjoy for a family getaway. The views of the cattle ranch and the Bear Creek expanse from the living room are breathtaking & relaxing. The "home" is very comfortable, roomy, yet unobtrusive. It was perfect for our 2 extended families who have different schedules. Both levels of the home are equally well furnished. The yard immediately around the home is landscaped & groomed to accomodate playful dogs & children. Trailheads are minutes away. Yellowstone, Big Sky, Gallatin Valley & Bozeman are only short drives away from the home, so it is an ideal home base. A real local gem (Hyalite Canyon) is one of Bozeman's jewels & about a 30 minute drive. Jim & Marie Clore are warm, personable hosts/owners who value both their guests & their property. They are only minutes away if you need anything. The Bear Creek Ranch Home is just as Jim & Marie post it to be - clean, comfortable, fully provided, & a home away from home for a memorable family vacation.

Owner response: Thank you, Joe, for taking the time to post a heart warming review of the Bear Creek Ranch Home. We are blessed to have the best guests renting our two Bozeman Properties. We are thus encouraged to keep up our efforts, as it is our desire to not only make our living this way, but, to enrich the lives of others as they come together with family and friends, to nourish and cement lifelong relationships. Our 'mission' is accomplished! We are allowing our nearby neighbors, Dennis & Anna, to graze their Alpaca & Llama herd (8 total), through November , 2013. They live ij an protected barn and are grass and grain feed during the cold winter months. The animals will be back around April 2014. They will be in the lower pasture below the Ranch Home. Guests will be able to pet them, over the fence, as they are so friendly to humans, and possibly feed them food pellets. I know kids and adults alike will get a kick out of this. We hope to see you again in the near future. Maybe, the whole family will come next time. You can also occupy our nearby (one mile away), Bear Creek Log Cabin, so that the whole family can enjoy the creekside log cabin, hot tub by the creek, and the outdoor campfire pit. We had some pretty good sized Brown Trout in the Bear Creek this year, as Jim cleared the brush next to the creek allowing access to a fishing pool. So awesome! Jim placed a new picnic table next to the creek so guests can read, and have their coffee or lunch by the creek. We look forward to seeing you again! Warmest Regards to you and your family! Best Family Vacation Ever!
Best Family Vacation Ever!
My family stayed at Bear Creek Ranch for a week. The home is truly beautiful and the scenery out every window and door is breathtaking! Everything that we needed was available to us including a Hikes Around Bozeman book that we used to plan our days. This is an excellent location for hiking, as we were able to drive short distances and then walk for hours. We went to Big Sky one day and to Yellowstone on two other days. Yellowstone is a beautiful drive and not to be missed. We were entertained each night by the sassy cows across the way and had one visit form Jake the dog! This proved to be an amazing trip for all of us and we would love to Montana again.

Owner response: Thanks so much, Cassie for taking the time to post a review. We are blessed with extra ordinary guests like you, and, we look forward to seeing you again. Don't forget about our nearby Bear Creek Log Cabin, www.bearcreeklogcabin.com, in case you have a larger group next time and need to accommodate more guests. If you rent both properties, you will have the best of both worlds as the Cabin has Bear Creek running through it by the Cabin, a hot tub by the creek, and a forest setting with lodgepole pines and aspen trees. In any case, we look forward to seeing you again. Marie & Jim Clore, Your Hosts 406.556.0201
We had a long weekend getaway. This is a wonderful home with a lot of room and beautiful views. The two separate floors and living areas would be good for privacy when needed with a large family or two groups. Another bonus is the nice trail down the road!

Owner response: Thank you for taking the time to write a Review of our Bear Creek Ranch Home. We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay and were able to use the play 'n pak for your baby. We are always trying to have 5 star ratings at our two rentals in Bozeman. I am guessing that the glitch with the dishwasher gave us 4 instead of 5 stars. The Bosch dishwasher is new; we changed detergents & rinse agents, so now the glasses are crystal clear. The well water in rural areas is hard sometimes. We hope to have you stay with us another time! Marie & Jim, Your Hosts
Wonderful family vacation!
Wonderful family vacation!
Our family of four stayed at the Bear Creek Ranch home June 26th - July 25th. We had a wonderful time. We have many fond memories of the home. We thought because we would be there for a month that we would have to buy some kitchen items, but the home had everything we needed. The home was very clean, and tastefully furnished. All the beds were very comfortable - even the bunk beds! We enjoyed sitting out on the swing in the yard and watching the sun set. We saw a herd of Elk from the front yard - every day. We enjoyed the birds and the neighbor puppy and adult lab would come visit us every day. Our kids enjoyed playing with the dogs. We played wiffle ball in the yard, and hide and seek tag many times. I would ride my bike into town a few days a week. There are some great mountain bike trails a short distance away. With the Bear Creek Ranch Home as our home base, we made many day trips. Yellowstone is about an hour and half away. Downtown Bozeman is just great. There are some really good restaurants, and cute boutique shops. We would definitely stay at the home again, if we ever get the chance. Marie and Jim are such wonderful hosts. They really want you to enjoy their home, and went above and beyond to make sure our family had a great vacation.

The Unique Benefits at this House:
Bear Creek Ranch Home has a great feel to it. Even when it was vacant, when we first saw it, we knew that nice people had lived here. Lots of deer and other wildlife frequent the property. That has to tell you something about the place. The views and wildlife and the cattle ranch adjacent are so peaceful. We feel really secure, comfortable and inspired in and outside of Bear Creek Ranch Home. This place is in the very heart of this wonderful place to live and visit.
