Up one flight of stairs in a quaint mid-19th century building, the Paris holiday flat itself is sleek, light, spacious and charming. With a queen size bed in the bedroom and a double size pull-out sleeper sofa in the living room, there’s easily enough room for 4 adults. The flat is furnished in a chic modern style with classic French movie posters on the walls, and there is a bookshelf full of Paris guidebooks as well as an extensive library of great DVDs in case of a rainy day. One of the great features is the extra large kitchen, with its distinctive red floor, high counter top with four bar stools, full oven, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, and so on. You can happily eat breakfast and lunch here, or cook an evening meal if you are so inclined. There are incredible gourmet food shops moments away on rue des Abbesses and rue Lepic. The bathroom has a WC, sink, and a shower with plenty of hot water. There are several windows both on the street side and the courtyard side, giving cross ventilation to keep the flat cool in summer; the unobtrusive heaters make it toasty in winter. The place has a natural serenity that makes it a sanctuary after a hard day’s sight-seeing.

And if you want to buy a pint of milk...just go three doors down to Amelie’s grocery store, possibly the best corner shop in all of France!
