Great Location and view
Great Location and view
We are ready to go back!! Great unit, remodeled, clean and very comfortable and unlike the other places on South Kihei Rd away from the road yet still allows a breathtaking Ocean view. The proximity to both laid back South Kihei and the upscale area of Wailea makes it ideal. So if you are looking to enjoy Freds on Taco Tuesday or go to the Four Seasons for dinner the choice is yours. If you are someone who wants to sleep late then this you will have to take up with the birds who beckon you each morning to rise with them, something we found enjoyable and helped us to get up early and drive to Hana, a journey not to miss. If not close your bedroom window!! I know we will be back,

Great location and great price
Great location and great price
The listing of this unit is very accurate. The location is perfect in regards to it's proximity to Wailea and all the great Makena beaches. The photos are true to it's description and the recent renovations are very nice. The only complaint we would have is that the unit is slightly noisy being on the end of the building and many residents do wake early to go to work. The owner was so helpful in giving us suggestions for activities and we were so pleased with all of her recommendations (Taco Tuesday at Moose's, breakfast at Fred's, Luau at the Marriott, 5Palms Happy Hour, Snorkle Bob's gear rentals, sunrise on the volcano and many more). She was also very prompt in her response to my initial request and lives in the area in case of any problems. All in all, best location and great price made for a wonderful vacation!

Owner response: So glad you enjoyed your stay. It is a wonderful location and we have done everything possible to ensure that our guests have an enjoyable stay. After her stay this is what this guest wrote to me. Hi Sandy, I wanted to thank you again for responding to my initial request. We had a wonderful time in Maui and the condo worked out perfectly. It is such a great location in regards to Wailia and Makena. The weather was great and we had a wonderful ocean view where we were able to spot many whales from the living room! Thanks again, Andrea
Nice place, but very noisy
Nice place, but very noisy
We enjoyed the condo and in general didn't have any complaints about it (the decor is a little uninspired and hotel-ish, but the place was clean and the kitchen was well-equipped). However, this unit is extremely noisy. It's located at the top of the drive (as pictured) that leads into a very large complex of condos, so every car that comes or goes passes by ... and slows down to go over the speed bumps -- including the aggravatingly noisy motorcycles of some of the condo residents. (We would literally have to pause movies every evening and wait for them to pass because the noise was so deafening we couldn't hear dialog for 15 seconds.) It was a real downer because my memories of our last trip to the islands involved lots of bird calls and the sound of palms in the breeze -- not at all the soundtrack to this trip. The other big drawback was that the person in the unit next door seems to be a chain smoker, so we were inhaling wafts of both fresh smoke and stale ashtray smell a LOT. Basically, the place is fine, but the overall atmosphere lacked that island-getaway feel we craved. I feel a little bad writing this review because these aren't really things the owner can control -- but they are still things I would have liked to know before going (especially since we were traveling with a small child).

Owner response: Many of the condominium complexes on the Wailea side of the island are located along S. Kihei Road. The benefit of the area is that it is close to many activities, beaches, parks, shoppes and eateries, but the downside is that this can be a noisy and high traffic area. That is just the nature of Kihei itself and of condo living. Our complex is actually less noisy than the ones that are right on the road (we have stayed in quite a few of the complexes and chose this one due to it's great location). In fact, we own several units in the complex because we love it so much. We installed a window on the side of the building to capture the fantastic ocean view from the unit. This unit has been completely remodeled with new upgraded appliances, granite countertops, large screen HD TV, and professional cookware. The art work is photgraphy taken at our beach across the street, Kamaole III. Our intention was to furnish it more like a hotel than a B & B. We do enjoy the early morning sounds of the birds and the ocean (I have a recording that I made early one morning from the bedroom window which I love to listen to when I am missing our place on Maui). We love the fact that you can see the whales from our livingroom window. We spend about 2 - 4 months a year living in this unit (with a young child) and really love it. When we want to splurge at a quieter and more secluded location, we usually go to The Four Seasons Wailea. However, the cost is about four times as much per night. P.S. the chain smoker who lived next door moved.......
This condo was perfect for our vacation. It is located in the charming town of Kihei with lots of great shops and restaurants and a short driving distance to the Shops at Wailea. We stayed there with our two young children and wanted to be close to the beach. This condo is a 2 minute walk from Cam III beach which was perfect for the kids with it's velvet sand and mellow waves. With its remodeled bathrooms and kitchen this is a lovely condo that we would definitely recommend to other visitors. We can't wait to go back!
