  I highly recommend this house for a trip to Louisville. 13 of us stayed there comfortably for 3 nights on my bachelor party weekend. It was SE of Louisville, which was perfect for going East and South on the bourbon trail. The living room, screened in patio, hot tub and bedrooms were outstanding. The downstairs entertainment room was awesome, but we actually found ourselves using it less than we thought we would. The owners were very accommodating and kind throughout the process. There aren't any real negatives to speak of, just be aware that it's a decent distance from downtown and Bardstown Rd. We paid for several cabs that were in the $35-50 range. We considered that worthwhile to stay at this great house. You won't be disappointed.

  This place is your home away from home and the main reason is because of the wonderful hosts-Cori and Joe. They treat you as if you are friends coming to visit. They provide you with a room that is clean, comfortable and quiet. The bedroom is located upstairs with the bathroom across the hall(with great water pressure). They provide you with everything you will need for a stay away from home. Water and chocolates on the side of the bed is a 'sweet' touch. Breakfast in the morning sets this place apart from the rest. Best homemade muffins and granola that I have ever had. Cori and Joe were great hosts and we enjoyed visiting with them. We really enjoyed hearing about their experiences and their stories over some wine/beer in the evening and over breakfast. As we were passing through Louisville on our way south, Cori even provided us with some granola and fruit for the road. We certainly will be back to stay when we come through Louisville.

  These accomodations are nothing less than amazing. Their home is warm and inviting and offered me the privacy I desired. My room was immaculate, beautifully decorated with a very, very comfortable bed and 800+ thread count sheets! My bathroom was located across the hall and was so very pretty and clean, with great water pressure and plenty of hot water! Cori is simply exquisite, with a very sweet nature about her. Joe is witty with a great sense of humor, and together they make a dynamic host/hostess duo that will make you feel welcome from the minute you walk in the door. They truly went out of their way to make me feel comfortable during my stay. Cori is fantastic cook! The meals she served me were healthy, filling and special attention paid to detail and presentation. They have a coffee bar with an array of coffees, teas, and cream, also wine in the evening! There is simply no reason to stay anywhere else if they have a vacancy. I received 5+ star accommodations with a personal touch and will not stay anywhere else while traveling to Louisville! As a travel nurse I wanted a home away from home, with safety and security. I got all that at a great price, and so much more. If you like dogs, then you will find Greta charming and entertaining. These are good people, good family, warm, clean, home away from home. Whether you are on vacation, or a traveling professional, you will find their accommodations perfectly fit your needs and be glad you stayed with them!

  The Hot Tub was a great plus after showing dogs all day. The Beds upstairs were good. The Main floor master bed had a slight slope to it. The property on the surface was clean just don't open cabinets. The downstairs play area was great. The Photos are very accurate and the space was great for all of us.

  Recommended for: Pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

  Owner response: Thanks for the kind words. Just wanted to remind future renters that this is our primary residence and that we also have a small catering business. Our cabinets are more full than a typical rental for this reason, as well as having enough glasses, plates, and cutlery for large groups. Guests enjoy cooking in our home instead of eating out for every meal, and you will find every appliance and pot/pans that you will need. The Master bedroom has a king size bed that is only one year old. It may be that this renter was not used to sleeping on a pillow top mattress which allowed contouring to her frame. Hope this helps anyone else looking at staying at our Estate home.

  The owners were wonderful to work with. This being my first experience with renting a property online, it has set a very high bar for any experience to come. The home was a perfect place to be near Louisville but still be secluded and able to kick back. The air hockey and hot tube made for great end of the night activites to help unwind. For those looking to venture out, you are a short drive to both downtown Louisville and a short run to the nearest distillory. I totally recommend it to any group no matter the reason for the adventure!

  My extended family and I have just returned from a stay at this lovely home, and we couldn't have been happier. The house was a nice blend of privacy (everyone had their own sleeping quarters) and engagement (the communal spaces of the kitchen, living room, outdoor deck were large enough to accommodate our crew of 9!), and was beautifully decorated, well-appointed with amazing amenities, and superbly clean. Cori, the owner, was truly warm and helpful throughout our planning, and through the long weekend we stayed there. She even dropped by to bring us extra supplies and found ponchos for the Derby! Really, we were all struck by how thoughtful and attentive she was to our needs--from setting out camp chairs to take to the Derby, to setting aside games for the kids to play with, to providing us goodies like snacks and souvenirs to make our weekend fun and festive. I felt that the listing description and photos were accurate, and the house more than exceeded our family-oriented needs (i.e. space and lots of things for the kids to do). Also, the house is fairly close to the Bourbon Trail, about 50 minutes away from the Bardstown area, which has several bourbon distilleries, including the Bourbon Heritage Center. We also had fun at Kart Kountry, where they have a 1 1/2 mile go-kart track and numerous arcade games. I would totally recommend this property to our friends and family, and in fact, maybe we'll stay here again if we return to do the Derby in a few years! (I do recommend reserving the house a year in advance--which worked well for us.)

  Our family of nine adults from four states had an enjoyable and comfortable stay at this property, where we came to help our parents celebrate 50 years of marriage. We had plenty of space to relax in, as well as choices of areas of the house to hang out in as a group or individually, and interesting activities to explore in the Louisville area. Features we especially enjoyed were the screened-in porch area right off the kitchen, great for breakfast and coffee and late-night catching up; and the large dining room table, where we could all have dinner together. These owners were able to help us out last minute when a reservation at another property fell through. It was a pleasure to work with them; the communication was incredibly prompt and clear. Thanks for everything!

  There were 4 couples (and 2 dogs) that needed a weekend getaway together. This home was perfect! The house was very comfortable, clean, and convenient to area attractions. We all enjoyed the 'man cave', but we especially enjoyed the back screened in porch area. The owners were exceptional to work with as well.

  12 of us rented out this house for a night last weekend. We had a phenomenal time. Our hostess left a few gifts for the soon-to-be groom, and even mailed a hat we left behind to its owner. We played basketball, relaxed by the fireplace and slept comfortably with plenty of room for all 12 of us. If you're looking for very relaxed and down-to-earth owners, a well-maintained home and a great place to get together, this is a perfect spot.
