We had a wonderful time here. Close to beach . Great fenced yard for dogs and young children. My young grandchildren enjoyed the playground area and the slides into pool. My teenage grandchildren enjoyed the pool and the close proximity to the beach. We all enjoyed the living room area and the teenagers enjoyed the sitting room where they could play their tv games. Jim was a wonderful help in getting our vacation house here arranged and answereing all my questions. Thank you Jim for all your help. It was a pleasure working with you. Look forward to renting from Jim next year.Recommended for: Families with young children, pet owners, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

A wonderful place for a family vacation. Large screened porches, multiple gathering areas allows adults and kids great spaces for socializing. Really only 90 steps to the beach, plus the wonderful large pool which is shaded in the afternoon for great "no sun burn" swimming. Our family loved all the homey touches of this beach home! We'll be back!Recommended for: Families with young children, pet owners, families with teenagers.

My family and i stayed at this place summer 2012. The house was just a few steps from the beach on 8th ave and the pool was large and very clean. Great yard for our dog and shed that had the washer and dryer. The house is for sure older but cute. it was a little dirty but we did get there when the cleaning crew were trying to complete even though it was after when we were suppose to check in. the rugs and furniture had a lot of stains all around the house so you can tell it is not replaced when someone spills on it. No bathrooms in any rooms. This is more of an outside house for sure. Due to the rain we had an issue with mosquitoes but we bought yard spray and they were gone in two days. The pool guy came twice when we were there which was great. No beach chairs or bikes for doing outside things but just a few blocks away were the shops on the island. We had 11 people actually come and it was suppose to be 12. I am lucky the other could not make it due to the spaces to sleep. I was disappointed in that as a few people had to couch it. No covers on the pull out couches and in the closets with the blankets were pincher bugs. We had ants too but they sprayed once we made them aware of that. Dishes were ok and didn't really have any glasses or cups to drink out of besides wine glasses. Over all i like the house but don't think it was worth the cost compared to other places that i have stayed. I would say we paid for the location and the pool the most. I would not try and stay there again with over 9 people.Recommended for: Pet owners, families with teenagers.

My family stayed there after a wedding in downtown Charleston. The house was even better than I expected. Many social gathering areas and 2 screened porches. The pool was lovely and clean and bigger than it looked in the pictures. A couple of minor problems were taken care of immediately. I would definitely stay there again.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, tourists without a car.

This place was perfect for our vacation week to attend a family wedding. While having family members in 5 different locations on the island, it was a great meeting place to have a family cookout one of the evenings. I would recommend it to anyone wanting a great place to stay.It was so convenient to have the key pad so we didn't have to be concerned about who had the key (with 7 adults there, it could have been a problem)Thanks again!!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, people with disabilities, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway.

Our week on the Isle of Palms was wonderful! We had eight guests most of the week and my daughter came over frequently from the College of Charleston. We loved sitting on the upstairs porch after a day on the beach. The two-sink bathrooms were great and having five bedrooms gave everyone ample room. A great Piggly Wiggly was just 5-10 minutes away along with restaurants at Shem Creek and Mount Pleasant. We went into Charleston twice and loved looking at the beautiful houses on IOP and Sullivan's Island. I especially loved the house being a corner lot with a fence all around the house. You barely knew anyone else was around. The walk to the beach was perfect. I would definitely recommend this house for one or more families. It's definitely one I will rent in the future!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, age 55+, girls getaway.

My husband, his grown children, their spouses and I spent a week the rental house on Isle of Palms this August. The house could not have been more ideal. A short block to the beach and, for those of us who hide from the sun, a swimming pool that was in partial shade most of the day. Upstairs and downstairs both had gracious screened in porches, beautifully furnished in wicker and white so the six of us could be alone, in couples or together all without crowding. My husband and the kids are old hands at renting beach houses and they loved it. I had never rented a beach house before and, so, what they took for granted in a high-end vacation home delighted me. The entire house was decorated in such a way that on walking in you feel relaxed and at home. The theme of casual fun is echoed in the paintings and unique bits of pottery and sculpture, both fanciful and pleasing. The house provides for all the moods of a vacation –poolside picnics, formal dinners, a pub-style family room with all the electronic amusements one might want. Not only was the property excellent, but the service was superb. The pool was kept sparkling, anything we needed was provided within an hour or two of requesting it, the rooms and linens were clean and attractive and the directions were clear. Add to this the fact that I left a rather pricey new hat behind which the agent not only found and returned to him but which was mailed to me on the agent's dime. One hates to gush, but, on occasion, gushing is called for. Nice house, Thanks for being all you promised and more.Recommended for: Families with teenagers.

Today our vacation is over and we wish we could start it all over again. This house is so charming and the amout of room for our family was more than enough. We brought our Son, Daughter,Son-in-law, grandson, granddaughter and our Beagle, Muzzy, my Husband and myself. and we fell in love with this place. We felt so at home. The house, pool, yard that is fenced in, the walk to the beach is so short, and you can set on the upstairs porch at night and hear the ocean just like you were ocean front. We would love to stay here again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway.

Visiting Charleston for the Cooper River Bridge Run - this house was very convenient to Mt Pleasant for the race start. This house is made to relax in and absolutely ideal for families with kids. Huge screened in porch upstairs and downstairs - additional seating outside near grill, and another table near the pool. There are also two tables inside (we did kids and adults in different rooms - hurray for that). Small den with its own TV was great place to park the kids. The backyard is contained and has a playset/sandbox area. One of the rooms had a crib and another had a day bed and king... again - perfect for the kids. Very easy walk to the beach. Clean place, lots of towels, w/d, wifi - recommend this house Thanks for great weekRecommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers.
