Poorly Maintained Interior with a great location
The property manager was friendly and helpful. The location and view was great, as expected. The square footage and number of bedrooms/bathrooms was as expected. The place was absolutely filthy. I had to buy cleaning supplies to clean the place before we could unpack and use the kitchen & bathrooms. I pre-washed all towels, dishes, and silverware due to dirt inside of drawers, hairs found on towels, etc. Metal in bathrooms was rusty. Bunk bed very wobbly, master bed not comfortable and appeared extremely old. For example, some decorations included very old, dust infested artificial flower arrangements. We planned to cook, but the filth of the pots and pans was not appealing. The interior of this place is simply old and not kept up to date. Owners were living upstairs the entire week that we were there. They did not speak to us, but we shared the garage with their car and experienced some mildly unfriendly behaviors. Each evening we turned on the exterior light before going out to dinner, and then turned it off while we were out which meant we could not see the steps or pathway leading from the garage to the front door when we returned. This seems disrespectful and even caused one family member to trip. Bring a flashlight if you stay here. T property manager said we could use the bikes in the garage, which we weren't actually going to use, but the owners locked them up shortly after we arrived. The entire experience felt unfriendly and not up to our family standards of staying in clean, kept up rentals. Historically, we've found VRBO to be a much better experience than this.

Manager response: This is the Owner response to review #6176272, We the (owners) went into the unit and cleaned it a few days prior to the guests arriving. My property manager also had a cleaning crew do an additional thorough cleaning one day before the guests arrived. All of the beds, dressers and night stands were moved and cleaned underneath. The entire unit was cleaned. All of the linens and towels are cleaned and packed away after every use. Our property manager stated that he talked with the guests at 3:10 PM on the 26th of March the day they arrived. The guests never said one word during the entire week of their stay as to anything being out of order. Salt air and hard water do cause the finish on the faucet valves to lose their finish and from time to time they need to be replaced. It is a cosmetic problem, admittedly they are not in perfect condition, however the fixtures were clean and in working condition. All bunk beds have some wobble to them. The bunk bed is very safe and not missing any structural parts, only two years old. The queen bed is also a better grade mattress and is only two years old. The flower arrangements might have been dusty. The pots and pans are relatively new. We have never had a complaint about the pots and pans before. Why the guests would not contact the Property manager, is puzzling to us. We try not to invade on the privacy of our guests; if they felt we were not friendly because we didn’t speak to them it is never our intention to make our guests feel uncomfortable. Our property manager tells every guest including these guests, before they move in that that the owner’s live upstairs and to not be offended if they stay to themselves. We want every guest to feel like they’re not being monitored. There is a light switch at the back of the property on the side of the building just underneath the garage key pad. The walkway begins at this point. This switch is for the walkway lights. I can assure you that we never turned off the switch to be disrespectful, if it did get turned off it was completely inadvertent and all one had to do is turn it back on. Again these are usually the kind of things when there is a concern one would contact the property manager and make a request to assist and this never happened. The bikes do belong to the owners, and they are always kept locked up so they won’t get stolen and they are available, please ask the owner’s permission.
