“Casa Milagro” is just outside and north of the village of Marble in the Crystal River Valley. This 1.25 acre property is backed by Forest Service land on the West Elk Mountain Range. With bare land adjacent to us, during summer, privacy is all yours!
The unspoiled beauty of Nature surrounds this colorful Native American-inspired home. Comfortable for familial vacations, intimate weddings/honeymoons or small group retreats.

Built by the owners themselves from recycled luxury materials, this easy-access yet ultra-private 3 bedroom, 3 bath home can sleep 6-8 indoors.
Or just two! ;)
A 750 sq.ft. loft “love nest” features a master suite with a King TemperPedic bed. Step onto warmed tiles into the master bath spa. Luxurious lapis blue tiled double shower with double-sized jacuzzi bathtub--invites deep soaks and candlelit romantic, relaxing interludes with limitless views out the windows.
The home has east, west and southern exposure, with plenty of daylight and cool east-west breezes.
Phantom screens at the double French door entries help blend into a free-flowing indoor and outdoor spaces from the great room that opens to an 800 sq. ft. wraparound deck—perfect for sunning on the lounges or rocking-chair relaxing in front of dazzling mountain views or socializing at an outdoor bar and dining table.
Pile up sleeping bags on the deck, use the house high-powered telescope and soar directly under the Milky Way on starry summer nights… please tho', just don’t touch them! :)
BYO horseshoes or croquet and play a game on the grassy west lawn or sit on the log swing and leisurely watch Nature pass by.
Spacious, fully-equipped kitchen has a white marble baking counter, double KitchenAid ovens, Hart commercial cooktop, pot filler, KitchenAid warming drawer, with a butcher-block island that nicely accommodates small to medium-sized gatherings; with plenty of room for helpers (!!) within the kitchen flow.
An adjacent coffeebar with barstools looks out over the entertainment-area's built-in sofas and HDTV.
Want some quiet time away from all the upstairs house action? or a separate space for friends/family members? Go downstairs to the Music room (w/piano). Laundry room/pantry also in basement.

Our group of three couples thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Milagro. The house fit our needs just perfectly. The home was clean, beautifully decorated, and it is exactly as the website pictures show. We have rented numerous vacation homes in the past, but I can honestly say that this home had perhaps the best view ever. While sitting on the beautiful deck, one felt as if the mountains were close enough to touch. Marble is in one of the most beautiful areas in Colorado. I must say that the owners were by far the most cooperative, friendly, and just all around really neat people that I have ever dealt with while securing a vacation reservation. They were always very prompt in answering any questions that I had. We had a fantastic time at Casa Milagro. Thank you, Charr and Doug. P.S. the local restaurant/bar/grill in Marble was fantastic. The food was excellent.Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway.

We spent the weekend at Casa Milagro for my sister's 50th birthday. We all had a great time, and everyone loved the home! The owners were very easy to work with and excellent with communication as the trip approached. Listing description and photos were all accurate, although pictures can't capture how beautiful the view is, how great the openness of the southwestern style home is, etc. The property was clean and well maintained. Highly recommended!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, adventure seekers, sightseeing, pet owners, girls getaway, romantic getaway.
Owner response: And the views since June are just getting better every day up here, John! :)Thank you! We are so refreshed by the recent mountain monsoons and been gifted with cool east-west breezes every day throughout the indoor/outdoor spaces of Casa Milagro. There is a riot of wildflowers here, there and everywhere! The nights are spectacularly clear, the Milky Way directly over Casa Milagro's decks. The back-country of Marble is coming into all its glory now for hiking, fishing, or ...just sit and stay put!...enjoy panoramic views and relax on our deck rocking chairs and lounges, lulled by the sight and sounds of the Crystal River nearby. Just recently Outwest Guides set up their horse-back and guided fishing excursions at the bottom of our road, Serpentine Trail! Truly, a one-of-a-kind experience to ride this incredible unspoiled back country between Aspen/Crested Butte, just the way and with the same views as did the native Ute Indians and early explorers! Definitely a "bucket list" ck-off! :) Come enjoy the magic of Marble at Casa Milagro. Call or email today. Dougn'Charr

I had the joy of offering a retreat in the fabulous Casa Milagro, the perfect place for my spiritual/personal growth workshop. From the moment I first walked in, I knew it would be the right fit for this workshop. You see, there’s something very special about Casa Milagro, something that goes beyond the well-founded structure and the creative attention to detail. The place is very much alive! It breathes earth and light, holding one in a gentle embrace supportive of silence, introspection, conversation, and movement. Casa Milagro arises from the earth, both receiving and radiating the light in which it is bathed all day long. It was a joy to experience the changing quality of light in the house, and absolutely amazing to watch the setting sun color the surrounding mountains at dusk. The place is warm and inviting, luxurious (in the most nurturing sense of the word!)without being ostentatious. Delightful surprises revealed themselves throughout our stay. Doug and Charlotte are the gracious, down to earth stewards who facilitated the building of Casa Milagro. The result is a beautiful, integral place of retreat, rejuvenation, and healing. I wholeheartedly recommend this delightful casa!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, adventure seekers, sightseeing, girls getaway, romantic getaway.
Owner response: It is most heartwarming to hear back when folks have experienced the charm of "Casa Milagro" and find the delightful surprises enjoyed by Guest Kimberlie and her group. Whether looking for a small, quiet business or a healing retreat, a big family vacation or an intimate wedding/reception/honeymoon, "Casa Milagro" holds space for all. Come enjoy the Magic of Marble with us!

Year Purchased: 2000
About the owner: We came to Marble in 1997 for a weekend art show that Doug was participating in. Somehow, things conspired that we ended up staying around until one day in 2000 we learned of this vacant land for sale. We have been building, improving and embellishing 'Casa Milagro' ever since into a luxuriously-comfortable and peaceful retreat.
Why the Owner Chose Marble:
'Casa Milagro'- Spanish for 'House of Miracles'- is an evolution from scratching out bare land for a travel RV spot to its debut today as a spacious, open familial home space that embraces and epitomizes the 'Magic' of Marble.
This east-southern-western exposure home was built primarily from Aspen-recycled high-end building materials...each and every piece a 'miracle' in how they merge together to create a delightful mosaic of artistic creativity!
There is, as one guest said, 'eye-candy' everywhere.
'Casa Milagro' has evolved with respect for and honoring of the native peoples, the Northern Utes, who first lived in this special valley.
Easy access, yet wonderfully private, this hillside home is the perfect spot to relax and rejuvenate your body, mind and spirit....not having cell phone service helps! :)
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Located just outside Marble, gateway to the most unspoiled Colorado high country valley with connection to Maroon Bells/Crested Butte back country, 'Casa Milagro' is surrounded by and reflects the beauty of the natural world.
While Aspen and Crested Butte are our glamorous step-sisters, Marble has its own 'Wild Child' allure...natural beauty awaiting your discovery.
Backed by Forest Service land, there's room to roam out your driveway by ATV, bike or foot. Or, step out to the upper deck and just sit quietly to let the Universe come to you or enjoy a relaxing time in the outdoor spa.
A 5-10 minute walk down Serpentine Trail for horseback riding, swimming and fishing.
Cool, consistent east/ west breezes every day.
