I would rate it a 9 out of 10. Our expectations were fully met, the booking process was excellent. The cabin is beautiful, as are the surroundings. We had plenty of room for all of us (4 adults, 1 5year old, and two dogs) to both be together and also have alone time when wanted. The dogs were in heaven! One of our dogs is a coonhound, so it's difficult to find places to rent where we have enough room for him to go into his "i found a critter, it's over here!!!" barking spells, so this was the perfect cabin for us with no neighbors and lots of room to roam. The cabin was fully equipped with everything we needed, and the free wi-fi was a definite plus as well.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

I wanted to write to you to say how much my husband and I enjoyed our stay at Poe's Mountain Lodge. The lodge was bigger and better than we expected! We'd love to go back and invite some friends and/or family to join us. We loved the seclusion and enjoyed hiking around the acres of property, as well as the trails nearby. We really appreciated the ability to bring our dog as well...we all felt right at home and it was truly the perfect weekend getaway!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Weekend Oasis definitely is a great way to describe our weekend. Memories were made and we had a fabulous time. We were initially unsure of a 4 hour drive for a weekend getaway but it was, without doubt, worth the drive. Scenic, Exciting, Immaculate.... I worry that I will never find a place that can live up to the expectations of Poe's Mountain Lodge.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

The cabin is very nicely appointed, very clean, and in a wonderful, secluded location. We've stayed in dozens of different cabins in the Shenandoah area and this is certainly in our top 3; we'll definitely be returning here.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We just wanted to say thank you very much for a wonderful weekend at Poe's Mountain Lodge. The cabin was beautiful, well-appointed and exceeded our expectations. Thoughtful touches such as the linens, cleaning supplies and toiletries made our initial planning far less stressful. Thank you for being so flexible and answering all of our questions along the way; we truly enjoyed ourselves and would love to plan another trip there in the future.Did you find this review helpful? We were looking for a quick getaway that allowed us to detach from our every day craziness of emails, phone calls and work. Poes Mountain lodge did just that. We brought our 2 dogs which made themselves at home and loved running off leash outdoors. The kids loved playing on the wii and exploring outside and most of all having our undivided attention. The Cabin was beyond beautiful and was more spacious then we could have hoped for. The quiet and peacefulness of the trip was exactly what we were looking for and we are already planning our 2nd trip.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

This cabin absolutely lives up to its online description and would highly recommend it to anyone interested in a very low key getaway. It is remote, very dark at night, your only company the deer and crows, but for us it was just perfect!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0
