A romantic site at the top of the hill with privacy and charm combined with one of the best views in the Adirondacks. You can see from Giant mountain to the Southeast through the Great range all the way to the Northwest and still are only a mile from the village of Keene and 14 miles from Lake Placid. Deer, turkeys and partridge are daily visitors. Multiple varieties of maple, oak and birch all show their foliage for breathtaking fall colors. The sunsets are beautiful with a full exposure of the western sky over the mountain tops towards Lake Placid. The view is facilitated by a deck and walkway on the entire South and West sides of this log home. The large field stone chimney houses a Vermont castings stove and a separate fire place for warmth and ambiance. Both the kitchen and the dining area are open to the great room with it's cathedral ceiling and large windows on 3 sides. The artwork and furniture are authentic Adirondack and created by local artists.

There are no words to describe the experience of coming back to this place. Breathtaking beauty came into the spacious 'living area'---kitchen included (through huge panoramic views from the window walls) making us feel that we were living in nature. The seclusion and quietness invited us to relax completely, (notably---in the claw foot tub) ----forgetting "the rest of the world". With easy access and perfect location, there is no better way to enjoy the outdoor and cultural activities that abound in the Adirondacks mountain range. Definitely, it was the choice comfort to come home to.....Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers, people with disabilities.

My family, a couple friends, and I used Serenity as our base camp for Ironman Lake Placid. Serenity sums up the location perfectly. We thoroughly enjoyed the incredible views and I was able to take full advantage of the quiet to reflect on an incredible race weekend. Bob was also great to coordinate with - thanks!Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

Our family enjoyed every minute at the adk high peak getaway. The location is quite and private yet ground zero for many adk high peaks. The ever changing views of cascade, Pitchoff and other peaks made for some great memories at the fire pit at sunset or grabbing coffee in the large adirondack chairs on the deck. House accommodations were excellent. We can't wait for a return to the high peaks.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers.
