A HOME FROM HOME
A HOME FROM HOME
We have visited Barbados every summer for the past 3 years with a group of friends and familey, and stay at Cherub House. It is truley a home from home. Set at the top end of West Moorlands the views are fantastic looking over the vast golf course over to the carribean sea. Now and again you can see troops of monkeys scampering over the hillside. (really excites the kids and adults too). The villa has 4 spacious en suite bedrooms with plenty of storage space. All tastfully decorated with a cool colonel feel to them. The bathrooms have shaver sockets and small storage areas to put your personal belongings. There are ceiling fans in all the rooms. The living area is vast to say the least. The large kitchen dining area that seats 6 or 8 is well equiped with the usual kitchen gadges, large american style fridge freezer, micro wave, crockery, pots and pans etc. At the back of the kitchen is a utility room with a large washing machine and dryer, iron and board. There is also a dining area that sits 8 people. We usually sit in the kitchen area to eat or outside on the large terrace but on a few occations we have had dinner parties where we used outside caterers to provide us with scrumptious caribean foods and drinks. Also a BBQ unit is provided if you fancy something simple. The living room is a well seated area with large TV fantastic if you'v parted to much and you just fancy a relaxing evening in with a movie and a bowl pop corn. There is WiFi in the house, if you want to keep up with whats happening at home or work, but i doubt that very much. The pool area outside is well kept and cleaned and maintained regularly with plenty of seating areas. The 2 bed en suiet cottage is, decorated in the same style as the villa but on a smaller scale. It has a kitchen and living area with a seated terrace. Unfortunately you can not get a WiFi signal in the cottage so you have to go to the villa to pick up a signal. Also it would be handy if it had its own iron and board. The villa is provided with a cleaner. What a lovely lady. She cleaned the villa and the cottage, washed and ironed too. I felt guilty for the amount of work that she did especially in the heat. She was woth her weight in gold. We had full use of the Club House, tennis golf and gym and the main pool. On a Saturday night the Rum Shack Bar serves up the best BBQ food Iv had. Thats all I can say about Cherub House. The only bad point is that we have to return home.

Best Birthday Ever
Best Birthday Ever
We stayed at Cherub House, on the recommendation of a friend, in October of 2011 to celebrate my 40th birthday. The owner organised a taxi to pick us up from the airport and it was give or take 40 minutes to get there. On arrival we were wowed by how beautiful Cherub House is, the photos do not do it full justice. Cherub House is well kept, everything is in good order and the housekeeper kept it spotlessly clean. The property consists of 4 very large rooms, all having en-suite bathrooms, 3 of these rooms have TV's. The kitchen within the main property is modern, large and fully stocked. I must add that the house keeper is friendly and extremely helpful. The owner recommended a Chef, Desree, I highly recommend that you try her out, her meals were to die for. There is a cottage within the grounds of Cherub House, again beautifully kept, it has 2 bedrooms both with en-suite. Cherub House has a large kidney shaped swimming pool, great for keeping cool with those afternoon cocktails, or you can lounge on the comfortable outdoor furniture. The gardens are well tended and immaculately kept. There is wireless internet connection at Cherub House but it is only available downstairs, this would be my only fault. Mullins Beach is a 5 minute drive away and as guests of Cherub House we were able to have use of the facilities, loungers, umbrellas and towels. Food and drinks can be served on the beach or in the restaurant according to your preference. Various restaurants and shops are located in Hole Town which is within a short driving distance of Cherub House. I can not recommend Cherub House enough and will be returning soon.

Great Family Vacation
Great Family Vacation
Just got back from my second stay at Cherub House. First time being August 2011, enjoyed our stay so much, that there was no doubt in our minds where we wanted to be so we booked a week stay again August 2012. Cherub House is beautiful inside and out. Love the way it combines luxury with a homely feel. The villa is so spacious that the family didn't feel like we were on top of one another but not so big that we felt distant from one another. Cherub House is situated in a peaceful and beautiful spot. Outside there are stunning views of the surrounding garden and golf course. The swimming pool is a great size and ideal for both children and adults. The villa is beautifully presented, clean and well cared for. The bedrooms are all great sizes and all have en-suite bathrooms. The living area is a comfortable and relaxing space and flows nicely to the dining room and kitchen. The kitchen is a great size and has all the gadgets you would expect. The housekeeper Trina, is lovely, polite, friendly and so helpful. Such a hard working lady, that sometimes we forgot she was even there. Very work proud, which is evident in all that she does, including cleaning, washing and ironing. My kids adored her and would talk to her non-stop, which never seemed to bother her. Cherub House has the added benefit of a separate self contained 2 bed cottage. Ideal for extended family members or friends. It is also a great space for the kids to watch telly during the day away from the adults. The cottage also has its own kitchen and living room. Being situated in Royal Westmoreland, you are close to the restaurants, beaches and the wonderful shops at Limegrove. I cannot recommend Cherub House highly enough. If you are looking for a relaxing, clean, well maintained place to stay, with excellent facilities and housekeeper, with the added luxury feel, then this is the places for you. I will definitely be booking Cherub House again for my next visit to Barbados.
