  I wanted to send my thanks for such a wonderful time. We wanted to get away from the resorts this trip and stay in the country this time. We enjoyed the peace and quiet and the views were awesome, we got a full rainbow on our last day there it was so beautiful! Mom loved the full kitchen, it was great having the beach towels, chairs and icechest to take with us. Neil was very helpful with directions and things to do. I recommend CJM stables for horseback riding it was worth every penny to get a beach/mountain ride, The Beach House has the best food you will ever have, Papalani Gelatto and Pulka Dogs are a must! Anywhere you go get the fish tacos, was never a bad meal anywhere we went.

  This is our 3rd time to Hawaii, we've stayed in several different rental properties on 3 different islands and this is by far our favorite place. The cottage is really beautiful with stunning views of the ocean and stars. Even the bedroom has amazing views. Great place to relax in the hammock and watch the sunset. Location is everything! This place feels very secluded and is very quiet other than crickets and roosters. Nice break from city traffic and noise. The neighborhood is really safe and crime-free. We were hesitant the first day to not lock the cottage since I'm from the city but after that we never locked up and never had a problem. Extra bonus is the cottage is located right off of Pu'u road and near the local golf course which is excellent for running every morning. I enjoyed the quiet early morning runs with breathtaking views of the ocean and golf course. Neil the owner brought us a ladder during our stay so we could pick our own bananas, coconuts and grapefruit right from his property. Neil was really very friendly, sociable and very accommodating. He gave us really great tips on restaurants and made certain we had everything we needed throughout our two week stay. On our second last day I saw a wild boar and 3 babies from the cottage. Amazing! I recommend hiking Nualolo traiil and Kalalau trail, boogie boarding at Brenneke beach and a helicopter tour doors off. Thanks Neil!

  This was our second stay at one of Neil and Sharon's places (last time in the jungle studio which was also fabulous). We LOVED this place. It was spacious and peaceful, clean and well cared-for. We could spend hours just sitting on the verandah looking out over the lush landscape, the ocean, and the sunset, listening to and feeling the gentle breeze, the birds, watching the stars and moon come out. Our daughter enjoyed sleeping on the futon on the deck (though she had the option to bring the bed inside). The loft bed for us was lovely--comfortable and so nice to lie there and still enjoy the view! It was also great to have access to a washer and dryer to take care of wet clothes and towels each night. Neil and Sharon were responsive and helpful. Great location from which we explored the island: Waimea Canyon and Poipu Beach especially; the McBride and Allerton Gardens, historic Koloa town and Waimea town, Port Allen (launching place for lots of boat tours) are nearby. And all the best weather is on this side so after a wet day in the north it was delightful to return to sunshine at this cottage! We'll be back, for sure, and highly recommend it to others.

  Thank you for having the vision to create such a glorious place. This is our first time to Hawaii - what an introduction! There is one huge downside to this place: I did not want to leave the sights of Kauai. You can't beat taking in the view from the deck...needless to say we enjoyed our experience here immensely/

  This is a great place; we really enjoyed it! Especially waking up and seeing the sun on teh ocean, reading in the hammock and the solitude. A wonderful place to relax. Thanks so much for the advice on what to do on Kauai. See you in Paris!

  You have such a sense of vision. What a beautiful place to build this little piece of heaven. We renewed our spirits and recharged our batteries! Although we had more rain than we have ever seen, we were able to get out and explore and enjoy rainbows and sunsets. When we were here two years ago we stayed in your mountain cabin - and you were just building this beautiful place - you gave us a tour...we decided when we came back to Kauai we would stay here- thank you for a dream come true!

  Al and I have been coming to Kauai since the early 90's...after our stay in your home on the hill we have discovered we love Kauai even more! We wanted a place to stay here away from the resorts and timeshares where we have always stayed before...your place provided that for us and we totally enjoyed it. The view, the sunsets, the rainbows, meeting new people every week (we were upstairs for nearly two months), the landscape, here, the plants and flowers we watered...even Puu Road and the steep
