My family loved our condo at Sanctuary at Redfish! The size of the condo is very spacious. The balcony is great over looking the pool with a view of the Gulf. The owner Grand Bob called us to make sure we had everything we needed which was very nice. The beds are very comfortable and the recliners in the living room were an evening draw. We liked the boat ride to the beach and if you miss the ride coming back its a very short walk. We walked every night to the local ice cream shop! We would recommend renting this condo to our friends and will definately be back! We found a local fish market close by and grilled out a few nights, which was great to not have to eat out every night. We also liked having the cabana, we could easily get cold drinks from the frig and get out of the sun while still being close to the pool. Thanks Grand BobRecommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Sandi, I'm glad you and your family had a great time at Sanctuary at Redfish. I will pass along your positive comments to our wonderful staff. Next time you stay with me the Cabana is "on the house."

The week we spent at the Sanctuary at Redfish was great. The condo and cabana were just as described with plenty of space and everything we needed. Christina, Capt. Bob, Jimmy, Pete, owners, and guests that we met were all very friendly. Parking is available underneath which keeps vehicles out of site and cool, especially in the summer. The pools and landscaping with water falls were well maintained and very clean; one pool was heated and one pool was large enough to swim laps. The kids enjoyed the hot tubs and the fire pit. It was relaxing to sit on the patio and watch the kids swim and have a view of the gulf and the lake. When it was time to head to the beach, Captain Bob was available for a short boat shuttle across Big Redfish Lake. Jimmy always had the beach chairs and umbrellas set up. The bike trail directly in front of the complex on 30-A is great for running and biking over to TopSail Preserve or over to Grayton, Seaside, Watercolor and Seagrove Beaches. There is also an exercise facility on site but the weather was nice and we enjoyed being able to enjoy outdoors. Within walking distance are an ice cream shop, bakery, bike shop, and private board walk to the beach. We used the board walk to get to the beach for a run or walk. There are plenty of public access areas up and down the beach to get back to the trail on 30-A and then back to the complex. The complex is secure but easily accessible to guests with a code.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.
Owner response: Diane...Thank you for your nice review. I will pass along your comments to the staff. And next time you stay with me, the cabana is "on the house."

We are from Omaha, Nebraska and this was our 2nd time staying in Sanctuary at Redfish for 3 weeks in September. This unit was really stocked well in the kitchen (panini maker was handy) and numerous beach towels, couple bikes, umbrellas, and boogie boards for the ocean. Having the canoes and kayaks available for the lake is fantastic. The pontoon over to the beach and beach set ups are great too. We had a very stress free, relaxing vacation in this unit. The unit decor was in soothing colors and tastefully decorated. The deck on this unit was excellet - plenty of seating and very nice cushions. Having the cabana available was a big plus for when we cooked out and stayed at the pool all day. We also liked it because we could stash our floats and stuff for the beach in the cabana as well. My brother-in-law used the on-site gym and was impressed with the equipment. This location on 30A is great because it is central to all the beach areas, shopping, and restaurants - we enjoyed going to Basmati's, Marie's, Fire, Redbar, Great Southern Cafe, and Whiskey Bravo. We like the fact that there are no chain restaurants in this area and yet there are lots of choices and reasonable menu pricing for every budget. We like the shopping in the Grayton area with gift shops, shoes, and decorating shops. Crystal's was close by and had good service for a manicure and pedicure. The owner, GrandBob, was very helpful in renting the unit and answering questions. We would definitely like to return to this unit again for our annual vacation. We would recommend this unit to anyone wanting a great vacation experience.Owner response: Camille....It was great having you. I hope you come again soon.

We stayed in this unit the second week of July and had a wonderful time. The place is immaculate and I am overly picky, probalbly have a bit of OCD! It is beautifully decorated, has all the ammenities and stocked with everything you would ever need. There is even a Panini maker. The pool area is unbelievable and everything is very well kept. We thoroughly enjoyed the boat ride over to the beach. It is not a hassle at all and Capt. Bob was great. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this place. The Beaches of South Walton are a gem!! Cannot wait to come back. Thanks for letting us enjoy your little piece of Heaven!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thanks Lucinda. I'm glad everything worked out for your family. Come again soon.

Another stellar vacation at Redfish #2114! The condo was beautiful, and the large balconey overlooking the pools, lake and ocean was a big hit this trip. The weather was perfect, it was great to see Captain Bob again, he and the rest of the staff go over and beyond to make things just right. The kids really enjoyed the kayaking and canoes. The boys caught several fish off the dock, including a few crabs. The cabana was ideal, especially when we grilled out by the pool in the evenings. The bicycles were fun, and the chest full of boogie boards, sand toys, etc. was used each beach outing. We all walked to Nick's for fresh seafood and then hit the ice cream stand on the way back. Overall, a very memorable and wonderful trip! We look forward to next year! Thanks!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Mary Ann Thank you. I love it when families come back for more fun at Redfish. I will pass on your compliments to the staff.

We booked our reservation for a family vacation and had an amazing stay. You are right in the heart of things but at the same time once you drive thru the private gate you feel very secluded. The pools accommodated both children and adults. There were several hot tubs which gave you additional privacy. The cabana works great with the babies nap time and storing all our pool and beach equipment. Last but not least grandbob's place was everything he said it was. The furniture and bedding were very comfortable, the condo was meticulously decorated. AAA+ Grand bob!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

As everyone else has mentioned, the grounds, cabana, condo and facilities were, as a whole, fantastic. We encountered a number of problems during our stay, including gate access on our first day, the bikes were inoperable and unusable, and despite our every effort we could NOT get the DVD players to work. However, we were most unhappy with how we were treated on our last day at the condo - my husband had a crisis at work come up and was unable to get all of our things out of the condo by precisely 10am. At 10:30, the cleaning ladies entered and began hollering at him while he was on an extremely important call with his boss. Not long after, I received an unpleasant call telling me he needed to be out NOW. I realize things come up - such as the problems we experienced that week - but we weren't afforded this same understanding by the owner or cleaning crew. We felt we were treated rudely and unfairly. We will definitely visit the Sanctuary at Redfish but will rent through another outlet.Owner response: I'm sorry you had a bad last day. I apologize that your husband thinks the cleaning service was rude to him. At this busy time of the year my condo is rented continuously which means one guest checks out by 10:00 am so that the cleaning service has time to clean the condo before the next guest checks in at 4:00 pm. The cleaning service showed up at 11:00 am and explained to your husband that you'll need to leave so she could clean for the next guest. Your husband informed them that he was on a conference call and would leave when he was finished. Consequently, the condo was not cleaned in time for the next family to check in and they had to spend the night in a hotel. Most unfortunate for all concerned.

My family (myself, husband, teenager +friend, and 8 year old) had a wonderful Spring Break at GrandBob's Condo and Cabana! The condo is absolutely gorgeous, the four pools are beautiful and the cabana is perfect for "taking a break" poolside. We could not have asked for a better place to relax and spend time together as a family.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We just got back from a wonderful week at Sanctuary! There were 6 members of our party - me and my husband, our two children (5 and 11), and my parents. We'd never been to this part of Florida and we're already counting the days until we can go back! Sanctuary at Red Fish is truly a sanctuary. Our pool-lake-ocean view was unbeatable. Even though it was spring break, we had the four pools and the beach mostly to ourselves. Santa Rosa is far enough away from the "hot spots" that it's not crowded, but it's still close enough to be able to drive to shopping and restaurants in 15 minutes or less, and the villages nearby are charming and quant. The beach is beautiful! Captain Bob had umbrellas and chairs waiting for us each day. The oceanfront lake is unique - we used the canoes a few times and tried our best to catch fish. I’ve never seen anything like the lake rolling up to the seashore – took lots of pictures! We were concerned that having to take the ferry to the beach would be inconvenient, but it wasn't at all! The short ride was relaxing and our conversations with Captain Bob were enjoyable. The cabana was the perfect addition - we were able to store our beach things and the fishing poles there. And it came in handy since it was NCAA tourney time. You just can't beat watching basketball poolside! Bob's condo is the icing on the cake - a definite home away from home! The layout and decor are spot-on and I agree with other reviewers that the pictures online don't do it justice. Bob is great as well - very available if anything is needed and his restaurant recommendations are definitely to be followed. We've stayed in a lot of vacation condos and this one is among the best. Thank you, Bob, for a wonderful week!!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Ashley, my goal at Sanctuary at Redfish is to offer the best family vacation ever. Its families like yours that make it all worth while. I hope you will come back soon.

My husband, grandson and I had a wonderful stay at the condo. Brad especially loved going out everyday in the canoe to the beach. The pool area is wonderful four pools with waterfalls and two hot tubs. The cabana is wonderful to get out of the sun for a while watch tv, read a book or take a nap. Great place to store wet bathing suits and beach towels. Looking forward to going back.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
