Welcome to Camellia Villa, a luxury beach home at The Villas at Coast Cottages, St. Simons Island's only gated beachfront neighborhood. Camellia Villa guests are only steps away from the beach with full privileges at Coast Cottages' fabulous beachside pools and pavilion. The neighborhood overlooks St. Simons' widest stretch of sand where you can walk along the shore at high tide, low tide ... any tide! (Many vacation rentals along the St. Simons' beach cannot make this claim.)
Park in your own two-car garage, or enter through our tropical courtyard where you'll be immediately drawn to the refreshing private pool/spa. Noted architect Keith Summerour designed this one of a kind villa with tabby stucco and cypress shake siding. He was inspired by local tabby ruins dating back to island aboriginals who used discarded oyster shells in their building materials. You'll also discover many architectural treats and excellent craftsmanship throughout the calm, tastefull interior.
Camellia Villa has four gorgeous bedrooms sleeping a total of 9 in perfect comfort. The three guest bedrooms each have their own full bath and are anchored by a wonderful family room ... a great place for kids and grandkids to watch movies and play board games. The master suite is finished top to bottom in rich ship-lap paneling and features a generous master bath with double vanity, large shower and oversized garden tub.
The main level features an open living, dining and kitchen floor where everyone can gather for meals and relaxation. The kitchen is a gourmet's delight with granite counters, stainless appliances, gas range and an oversized refrigerator. The dining area seats eight with extra seating at the kitchen bar, and you'll especially love the window seat! Cozy up in the living area with plenty of seating for the whole family. The furnishings are plush and comfortable making this home a beautiful experience for people who appreciate luxury accomodations.
You'll appreciate the dark pine floors and plantation shutters in every room. There's even an elevator for luggage, groceries and anyone with wobbly knees. Every floor has it's own furnished balcony for capturing ocean breezes and lovely views. And everyone will want to visit the awe-inspiring rooftop deck with 360 degree vistas of ocean, marsh and the nearby Historic Coast Guard station.

- Our beach is one of the best anywhere for wind surfing and skim boarding (google it). At low tide you can walk 1/2 mile straight out to sea on one of the largest sandbar systems on the Atlantic coast ... it's breathtaking!

Overall, our experience at Camellia Villa was wonderful. The top-notch kitchen is a joy to cook in and the layout worked well for our family. The beach was better than expected and we enjoyed spending lots of time walking and swimming.
Owner response:Camellia Villa is located along the very best stretch of beach on St. Simons Island. We have glorious sandbars that join the beach at mid to low tide making beach walks an amazing and dynamic experience every day. There's plenty of beach here at high tide too! It's not unusual to find sea shells, sand dollars, many types of gulls, herons, and even occasional schools of dolphin! Walk the beach at night with a flashlight and you'll see little ghost crabs scampering along the shoreline and around the dunes.

As a long time guest of the King and Prince condos, we were excited to actually stay in a home. We have two brand new grandbabies and the space this home offers is awesome. We were able to stretch out and were never in each others way. The kitchen was fantastic...well appointed and everything worked great. The washer and dryer being full-sized was a nice treat as K&P only offers apartment sized units. We can't say enough nice things about this villa. We would surely love to stay again in the summer of 2012.

The house is absolutely fantastic. We were very impressed with the level of luxury. The kitchen was amazing! We spent a lot time enjoying the great appliances and creating some amazing meals. Every utensil you could possibly need was there. Short walk to the beach was no problem. Close to the village and shops which meant I didn't have to spend time in the car. We spent lots of time on the roof deck watching storms roll in. Great place to chill and have a cocktail. One of our best beach vacations ever! Patrick was very helpful and was always just a phone call away! Thanks Lee
Owner response:Camellia Villa is a real family pleaser with one of the most brilliant floor plans on St. Simons Island. The living/dining/kitchen areas flow together seamlessly so everyone is together whether they're watching TV, cooking a meal, or playing a board game. But there's are also plenty of places to get away when you need to ... like to the separate family room, or outside on one of the many furnished porches.

Lots of room for a large group. Very nicely decorated. Really enjoyed the porches and the pool/hot tub. Easy access to the beach. Patrick was very attentive. We'll be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Camellia Villa! The house is beautifully decorated and it is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy a vacation. We loved walking to the beach daily, and the location is great for kids to have independence to walk back and forth. We will definately stay at Camellia Villa again!
Owner response:Camellia is in the only gated beach front neighborhood on St. Simons and there are only 11 homes along Sea Oats Lane. So it's relatively safe with no casual traffic from outside the neighborhood.

I stayed here right before the listing on VRBO went up! Love the gated street, the fabulous private outdoor pool/spa and the villa itself was great. All the bedrooms are furnished with top line sheets, furniture, towels, etc. Very clean and well maintained. Kitchen/Living area is perfect for a group dinner/coktails,etc. Highly recommend this one and will will return soon.
