' off the beaten track' peninsula on the south-east tip of ST.KITTS. (St.Christopher.) with Sublime views of the sister Island NEVIS. Turtle Beach, a crescent shaped stretch of Sand Dunes and natural vegetation,lies between the calm turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea and the turbulent tourmaline waves of the Atlantic Ocean. Approx. 25 minutes by car from both the bussling capitol Basseterre and the international Airport, with vast stretches of awesome vistas on route. Spot the scampering Green Vervet monkeys among the stunted Acacia shrubs and waving Guinea grasses. As night falls,be lulled to sleep by the churping tree frogs, clicking crickets, lapping surf and the gentle tossing of the coco-nut palm fronds. The modern shuttered Caribbean house sits within a stones through of the oceans edge, with only a white picket fence to seperate you and the warm welcoming sea. The beach house is located approx. 25 min drive from the airport on a wonderful quiet beach with an amazing view of the island of Nevis. The road is a little rough but very scenic, well worth the drive. It shares this beach with another house and a very nice but expensive restaurant called 'The Beach House' The spacious living quarters are on the second floor. There is a large well equipped kitchen with a comfortable family room and large eating area. There are 2 large bedrooms each with there own bathroom. There is also a large covered porch which is nice to sit in the morning and evening and admire the amazing view. The property is well maintained and has many beautiful plants. While the beach is sandy with natural vegetation. The ocean in front is great for swimming and snorkelling. Nice sand bottom with some weedy areas. There are 3 restaurants within walking distance. The most expensive is 'The Beach House' located in the same bay and a 2 min. walk. There are 2 restaurants on Cockalshell Beach and within 15min walk along the beach and dirt road. The mid price priced restaurant is 'The Spice Mill' which has great food and offers water sports and a beach bar. Our favourite was the 'The Reggae Beach Bar' which for us was the best value and had a fun atmosphere. It has a fantastic beach, with water sport rentals, beach volley ball and even a mini zoo with monkeys and a pig mascot named Wilber. We rented a catamaran and sailed to Nevis and back ...it was fantastic. We rented a car for the week and toured the island, We went zip lining at Sky Safaris, toured the Caribelle Batik and Brimstone Hill, and shopped at Port Zante where the cruise ships dock. Thank you it was a wonderful week, at a nice beach house on a great beach with a spectacular beach.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+.

One of the few beachfront properties on the island. The swimming is amazing! A gradual entrance to some great swimming and snorkeling. Great spot to windsurf over to Nevis also which my husband really enjoyed. The view from the balcony is breathtaking....the island of Nevis only a mile away across the channel between St. Kitts & Nevis. Great restaurants 5 minutes drive from property...Spice Mill & Reggae Beach. Great food at both! You can catch a ferry to Nevis about 1.5 miles away. Ferry takes foot passengers as well as cars. Great way to spend the day by seeing another island. The main town of Basseterre is less than 15 minutes by car. Very quaint town with lots of shops for souvenirs & duty free items. Brimstone Hill is a must! An amazing trip through the history of these islands! Hiking up Mt. Liamuiga was amazing ( a dormant volcano). Lots of other beaches very close to this property which you can drive up to in minutes. Location was perfect for a peaceful place to get away from it all!! Would definitely stay here again. Owners live on island not far away & were very helpful in giving us suggestions of things to do & see. You can do as much or as little as you please...Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers.

Spent 7 nights in this love beach villa waking up to the sound of the surf just outside my window...Can't get better!!!! The sun sets were magnificent and enjoyed from the front porch. The owners were very accomodating and were local to St. Kitts so could always rely on them to suggest places to go to eat and visit. Well worth a visit....I can't wait to return this December. VB, Surrey, UKRecommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers.

About the owner: I am a resident of Canada with dual nationality,for St.Kitts and Canada. My family go back at least 150 years in St.Kitts,and before that to the French Islands of St.Barts and Guadaloupe. My family are well known on the Island and are involved in local business and organisations such as Rotary, Masons and I.W.A.S.
